What Is This “Birther” BS?

Okay dipsticks….enough is more than enough!

I cannot believe the BS flying around about the citizenship of Obama…..I have a page entitled Rational Ignorance Effect, but these morons take the word “stupid” to new heights.  I understand the crazies on the right that have this lack of knowledge and want to believe the BS, but we now have people like The Rush, Liz Cheney, CNN’s Lou Dobbs and now we have 9 Congress people that have jumped on this bandwagon.  Why?

The more this plays the more it is looking like the GOP is playing and feeding these whackos for their own advancement.  I understand the old white guy from Alabama, Sen. Shelby, he probably still living in the pre-civil rights days.

Obama’s birth certificate has been published in many places….but it looks like that the people are most upset because of the two lines that state mother–Caucasian and father African…they can justify this any way they choose…but it is still the fact that Obama is an African-American that has them the most upset.

John McCain was born in Panama and that is no question of his citizenship …but he is white…what do I mean by that?  Would these same questions be asked of Clinton or Reagan or Bush under similar circumstances?  Of course, they would not be…why?  The are WHITE!

All this uproar is nothing more than an ugly political game been used by the Extreme Right to divide the people and feed the last remnants of racism….you have noticed that most of the people that are questioning Obama on this are old and mostly white…..how obvious must it get?

Another Rush-Speak

This guy keeps getting further and further out there; he is seeing conspiracies everywhere.

Conservative talk radio’s fair haired boy, Rush has out done himself this time….on a recently show he spoke of the conspiracy of Obama to stay beyond 2016…..as usual …this guy is just an idiot……Rush’s big concern is that someone has authored a bill saying that the 22nd amendment should be repelled…he went on to say…….

You have to wonder if Obama is just trying to lay a foundation for not being a hypocrite when he tries to serve beyond 2016. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if in the next number of years there is a move on the 22nd Amendment, which term limits the President of the United States. He may not do it that way, he may not openly try to change the Constitution. But there might be this movement in the country from his cult-like followers to support the notion that a democratically-elected leader who is loved and adored has carte blanc once elected. Just serve as long as he wants because the people demand it, because the people want it, because the people love it.

And I’ll tell you folks, this business about running beyond 2016, you know, the thing that when you look at Obama’s followers – and we’ve discussed it here – they are a cult-like bunch and their attachment to him is not political, it’s not ideological, it is not issue-wise, it is cultish. It includes a wide percentage of minorities, by the way, who for different reasons, who will come to think that he simply cannot be replaced. Let him succeed with amnesty, for example, and all the illegal aliens who are instantly made citizens. He’ll be too important. Just like right now he’s too big to fail as far as the drive-bys are concerned, he’s too important to be replaced. No one else can lead the nation,  they will say. And they won’t care a whit about the legalities that might be trampled. Half of the legalities if they don’t even know about them because they haven’t been properly educated. I think this situation in Honduras is very instructive. Anybody who thinks that he intends to just constitutionally go away in 2016 is nuts .

You know maybe Rush boy should check his info before he spouts crap.  The issue in question was brought at least three other times and it was during the Bush admin.  Also his conspiracy theory has another hole in it….even if the 22nd amendment was to be shit canned…I do not believe that Obama could sign it….conflict of interests and all that.  I realize that Rush does not depend on truth very often but maybe he should…or at least his throngs of adoring morons should look for the truth and stop let this drug addict dictate their beliefs to them……Just a thought.




I Have Heard It All, Now!

Think back to the days gone by of political pandering and lies….I am speaking of the last primary then election cycle.  Recall when the buzzword of the day was patriotism or patriotic?  Remember when one candidates patriotism was questioned when there was no pin visible?  Think back to when liberals in Congress and the country were called un-American.

I know you would like to know where I am going with this…..I am coming to that.  Recently a conservative talk show host has called for a boycott of Chrysler and GM.  Yes you heard it right…a BOYCOTT!  Why would he do this?  Because if we buy from GM or Chrysler we woulkd be supporting socialism……and there it is the conservative argument to Obama’s success.

Several othe talk show host have signed on to this thinking…telling there listeners that it is better if these companies fail and disappear then to support they paranoia over socialism.

These dipsticks had rather see American workers loose everything than support a popular president.  I have even heard them say that the workers will get over it…that they will find other employment …..would that be in the same country as I live where the unemployment is 9.4% and climbing?

Sorry guys but that call is about as unpatriotic as it comes…..anytime someone calls for the destruction of an Americaqn industry…they are unpatriotic.  The biggest problem is that someone is listening….the same people that still think Obama is a Muslim….the same idiots that wantr the country to fail….the same people that hate.

Pelosi Gets A Rest

Obama has made his choice for a judge to replace the retiring one on the Supreme Court…how fortunate for Pelosi…she now gets a temporary break from the bashing she has been taking at the hands of the conservatives, both on air personalities and the not so popular bloggers on the right.

Well at least the conservatives are consistant, they are still attacking a woman.  I asked the question about a month ago here on Info Ink.  I asked if the GOP and its lot were sexist.  I aked because of the attacks they, the GOP, have been having against women, like Pelosi, Sibelius and Napolitano.

Pelosi was in China trying to get them to cooperate on climate change and probably got very little of the cooperation she was looking for since she has been an outspoken critic of the government in China.  Her only good news for now is that Sotomayor is taking all the heat that she would be getting, at least for now.  I am sure that she is only getting a temporary lapse and the bashing will soon return.

Anyway, I digress..the conservs are taking careful aim at Sotomayor.  They have attacked her IQ, her name, her eating habits, her temperment and a racist.  All their attacks are just so damn silly……so damn lame…….and so damn predictable.

She will be confirmed……Repubs just want to have their say……it is all just a fundraising ploy….she will be confirmed.

Pandemic Paranoia

CNN’s Lou Dobbs has blame absolutely everything he could think of on the illegal immigrants, but conservative talk radio has done him one better.

Conservative media hosts, including Michelle Malkin and Glenn Beck, have placed the blame for the spread of swine flu to the United States squarely on the shoulders of undocumented Mexican immigrants. Some even suggested yesterday that Mexicans were purposefully carrying the virus across the border to sabotage the United States.

During the April 24 edition of his nationally syndicated radio show, Michael Savage stated: “Make no mistake about it: Illegal aliens are the carriers of the new strain of human-swine avian flu from Mexico.” Savage also stated, “If we lived in saner times, the borders would be closed immediately.” Savage went on to theorize that the outbreak might be part of a bioterrorism threat: “[C]ould this be a terrorist attack through Mexico?

During the April 27 edition of his nationally syndicated radio show, Neal Boortz asked: “[W]hat better way to sneak a virus into this country than give it to Mexicans? Right? I mean, one out of every 10 people born in Mexico is already living up here, and the rest are trying to get here.

But my fav came from the mouth of the biggest dipstick in the FOX line-up, Glen Beck.

Additionally, on the April 27 edition of his nationally syndicated radio show, Fox News host Glenn Beck stated: “Gee, it would be nice if we had border security now, wouldn’t it?” Beck went on to assert: “But if you are a family and you’re down in Mexico and you’re dying and those in America are not, why wouldn’t you flood this border? Why wouldn’t you come across this border? It’s exactly what I warned of — different scenario, different reason of — I was talking about economic collapse. People start to come and rush this border, then what happens? Gee, it would be nice if we had some border security.”

Do these people ever hear themselves talk?  Do they not see how stupid their diatribes are?  This could explain why only 21% of Americans say that they are Republican.

A Form Of McCarthyism?

To begin with–HA HA HA!

I have heard all the right wingnuts call the outrage directed against AIG as a form of McCarthy-ism.  First of all, what total crap that is!  Rush and FOX News needs to do a bit of research on the meaning of “McCarthyism” before they start their lips moving, maybe then they will not look so damn foolish.

The charge of McCarthyism is both absurd and odious. The McCarthyism of the 1950s was a campaign by the American ruling class to demonize all socialist and left-wing thought. It was based on a lie—that socialists were criminals. The campaign destroyed the lives of many workers and intellectuals in the drive to fully subordinate the institutions of American society—the unions, the media, the universities—to the capitalist system and the global aims of US imperialism.

The popular outrage against bonuses for financial executives is, on the contrary, entirely justified. These are individuals who amassed their wealth on the basis of parasitism and speculation. Now that the financial house of cards has come crashing down they are demanding that the public treasury foot the bill, while insisting that there be no consequences for their own standard of living.

Social being determines social consciousness. The social character of the American ruling class has generated a corresponding social psychology—one that is profoundly anti-democratic. It is typical of an aristocratic social layer to view the society upon which it parasitically feeds with a mixture of fear and hostility. It views democratic institutions—even in the thoroughly eroded form that they take in the American political system—with contempt, as unnecessary constraints on its personal prerogatives.

Please when you hear do-do from the right wingnuts call them on it!  I do.

What Is Rush’s Role?

Does conservative talk show host, Rush Limbaugh have a part in the future of the GOP?  Or is he just a windbag that likes hearing the sound of his own voice?  Just what is his role in this comedy special?

Limbaugh in recent days has made no efforts to step out of the spotlight. He had a banner headline across the top of his Web site that read: “Hilarious: Democrat Party Launches Yet Another Anti-Rush Web site” and linked to the site.

And on Wednesday, Limbaugh challenged Obama to a verbal showdown, calling on him to visit his talk show for an “intelligent, open discussion” on issues like health care and taxes.

Limbaugh also accused the White House of orchestrating an attack on him, telling his listeners that the Obama team is demonizing the radio host since President George W. Bush left office.

There’s a reason White House aides have dubbed conservative radio ranter Rush Limbaugh the new face of the GOP – polls showed he’s a big, fat target of opportunity.

Only a tiny fraction of voters younger than 40 – 11% – have a positive view of the talk king, a survey James Carville and other Democratic advisers to President Obama took last fall found.

That – combined with Limbaugh’s more recent wish to see Obama “fail” – was all the White House needed to launch its coordinated campaign this week to cast Limbaugh as the hydra-headed leader of the temporarily headless GOP.

Fairness Doctrine

Haven’t heard about the Doctrine? That’s because it’s a rule that was abolished more than 20 years ago by the FCC.

Yet, heated discussion about the Fairness Doctrine has recently circulated over the airwaves of both progressive and conservative talk radio programs.

Originally introduced in 1949, the Fairness Doctrine required broadcasters to allow time to discuss controversial topics of public interest. Stations were also required to air contrasting viewpoints of those matters, although equal time was not a part of the rule.

During the Reagan administration, the rule was abolished by the FCC, which argued the Doctrine hurt public interest rather than help it.

In the wake of a Democratic Party stronghold in Washington and the popularity of opinion-driven talk radio programs around the country, some AM radio hosts have expressed concern over a reinstatement of the Fairness Doctrine.

Some Democrats in Congress, including House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi, have expressed support of the Fairness Doctrine. However, no legislation has made its way to the floor of either house in this session of Congress or the last.

But personally, I think it should be required that opposing points of view should be on all news shows and stations…..it is the only way the American people will know the whole story about the situation.  But on the other side of the coin, shows like those of Rush and Bill-o would probably lose part of their audience if truth and fairness were the rule.  Bashing does NOTHING but deepen any division in the electorate.

2009 Anal-Ocity

The hits just keep coming and coming…..this anal statement is from radio talk show host, Rush Limbaugh.  He was asked by a print media group to write a 400 word piece on what he hopes for the new president and his term.

This was all he could say:

“I hope he fails”

I will give props where props are due….Rush said nothing that most conservs are thinking but are too cowardly to say it out loud.  Rush’s words are addressed to his base and will benefit him while he is out selling myself and his stuff.  That said, I still think that Rush as the IQ of a dirty sponge, but at least he has ‘nads.

An update:  Rush has lost 4 markets because of his comment and more may be coming.

OMG! It Is About Race!

That is what some of the blouted windbags on conservative radio would have you believe about the Powell endorsement of Obama.  These ill tempered parasites have started their cute little program of slandering Powell because he came out in Obama’s corner on Sunday.

To infer that Powell does not have the intelligence to make an informed decision is just flippin’ insulting to a good American vet.  The conservs set about trying to lessen the impact of the endorsement by saying that it is no big deal and then before they take a good breath they are picking apart everything he said.  The Repub surrogates are trying everything to lessen the impact of this endorsement by employing mouthpieces like Rush to do their dirty work of attacking Gen. Powell.

Sad that a man that apparently did take his time and with much thought then his decision is attacked.    Powell went into a 7 or 8 minute explanation of why he chose Obama and worked without notes or a teleprompter.

It looks like tthe McCain campaign is desperate and will say and do anything to try an find something that will register with the undecided.  But I think that attacking Gen, Powell is probably not their wisest course.
