We Approach A Fork In The Road

As Yogi would say….”when you come to a fork in the road, take it”……..

This country is ripping itself apart and the sad thing is that few seem to care as long as some arbitrary political direction is maintained.  The population is filled with accusations, innuendoes and pure political hatred…..all this hatred is bring this country to a fork in the road and no matter which fork is taken the country will suffer.

(Please if you are a Right winger read the article before throwing your usually retort of the Godwin Law….)

So many of us were wrong, myself included, about Donald Trump. We saw in the jut-jawed, brow-furrowed Mussolini-like posturing, in the blatant narcissism, in the reckless disregard for truth, the anger and incitement to hatred, the declamations that he would fix everything single-handedly on Day One of his presidency, his disdain for democracy and hints that he would lock up his opponents — we saw in all of these things incipient fascism.

After the inauguration, I began reading Victor Klemperer’s chilling diaries on the rise of Nazism, I Will Bear Witness, and Sebastian Haffner’s memoir of the early days of Hitler, Defying Hitler. The analogies were all too close. Others on these pages have made similar observations. We were on the verge of something unprecedented, something horrifying. We were on the verge of authoritarian government headed by an ignoramus and possible psychopath. We were on the verge of the end of democracy.

Anarchy is already raising its ugly head……and it is beginning from within the walls of the White House and radiating out from there.

Our politics has become a jumbled mess of bullshit……issues mean little attitudes on one subject or another…..no cohesion left in this political soup.

Beware Of Those Pesky Anarchists

Tomorrow is Halloween and according to the FBI the popular custom this year will be that of an ANARCHIST!

From time to time the DHS will issue warnings of possible terrorists attacks or civil disobedience….actually most of it is just fear mongering….so far they have been less than accurate (polite way of saying “fucking wrong”)……

With Halloween approaching most people are concerned about what custom their child will wear and what “treats” will they get……but not the FBI….they are warning of possible attacks, of all things, anarchists……

The FBI has issued an alert to police warning anarchists dressed in Halloween costumes plan to create disturbances and attack responding police.

The “Halloween Revolt,” according to the federal law enforcement agency, is planned by the National Liberation Militia, a group reportedly from Eugene, Oregon, and said to be responsible for violence in Seattle during the World Trade Organization conference in 1999.

According to the New York Post the group is calling for members to wear Halloween masks and use weapons such as bricks, bottles and firearms.

First of all….what the Hell is ANARCHY?

Anarchy is a confusing word to define, since it has several possible definitions. The word comes from the Greek word anarchia, which simply translates as without or lacking in authority. In the modern sense, it may be used negatively or positively, but most often, the word is used in a negative sense to imply a complete lack of order.

In another sense, anarchism may refer to the idea that people would better profit without a government of any kind. Anarchists believe that most people can govern themselves and would be happier doing so. Within this idea of self-government, as opposed to government by the state, fall many theories of how lack of a government could possibly work. There are questions of whether people, for instance, have the same currency, be asked to abide by the same laws, or have any types of organized assistance.

It would be hard to argue that all individuals are capable of doing this. For instance, in a society that is deliberately anarchist, there is the question or what would be done with a person who was severely incapacitated by mental retardation. The person might not be able to act in his or her own best self-interest or for the welfare of the society. If that person had no caretakers, it’s unclear what provisions in an ungoverned society there would be for caring for such a person.

Anarchy is a form of socialism……it became associated with violent protests back in the 1890’s……a group of anarchists at a labor parade started acting violently and the media immediately made it the tenet of anarchy……and it has been used in that context ever since…….

As they say in “Starship Troopers”…….”would you like to know more?”

Anarchists Everywhere!

College of Political Knowledge

OWS has been going on for a month and until recently they could not buy media coverage but all that has changed….there are too many people protesting in NYC and across the nation and globe for the media to ignore any longer…..I have watched and listen to conservative shows and one term seems to be very popular with them…..Anarchism or Anarchists.  I detest the use of a derogatory term because you have nothing else to say.      Let me say, if a person is dressed on black or wears clothing with a circle and an “A”…..does NOT make them an anarchist!  If you take nothing else away from this…take that!

They report that these people, at least some of them, are issue less or not knowing or that they are just seconds away from violence or…..anarchy!  According to them…they are everywhere!

Sorry, this is one of those subjects that I cannot overlook……every protest that turns ugly is because of the damn anarchist…they are everywhere!

Anarchy does NOT mean violence….it is a form of socialism…basically it means the simple absence of publicly recognized government or enforced political authority.  It became associated with violence thanks to the media.  In 1886, May 1 to be exact,Chicago was one of the world’s leading centers of labor activism. The burning issue of the time was the fight for the 8-hour work day. On May Day, the workers of Chicago went out on a one-day general strike.  The next day, thousands gathered in Haymarket Square to protest the police violence at the McCormick plant. At the end of the rally, the police moved in. Suddenly, a bomb exploded.  And from that moment on, any violence at a protest has been because of the anarchists.  I am NOT saying that anarchists are not violent just that all violence is not the fault of anarchists.

Why would I say all this?  There are many forms of anarchy…there is council communism, syndicalism, and even a form known as anarcho-capitalism……I mention the last form of anarchism because it is it that has given us the economic problems that we now face and that we now need to eliminate….

Basically, the anarcho-capitalist wants to eliminate all government regulations and the government programs such as welfare in essence, Libertarian thought……they do not like being called an “anarcho-capitalist”……..the regulation part was achieved by Clinton and his gang of bandits when they with the assistance of Repubs repealed the Glass/Steagall Act…..which in effect serious limited the regulations on the financial sector and we know where that has lead us……I wish people would stop holding Clinton up as some sort of hero…..him and his buds at the DLC put the final nail in the economy……give blame where blame is due…..

Anarchists crashed the economy…….anarchists created the atmosphere that has lead to the protests, OWS………..my point is that not all anarchists are the bomb throwing stereotypes that the media would have you believe…..I realize it is difficult for the media to be unbiased….but at least they could get it right once and awhile…..

Anarchists And The Convention

Police arrested protesters near the St. Paul convention site this afternoon and blocked off pedestrian and car traffic into the city center for at least an hour.

While the remains of a peaceful protest parade swirled around one closed road after another, growing increasingly frustrated that they weren’t able to get back to their houses and cars, one officer told me that “anarchists” a few blocks away had been causing trouble — throwing bricks and breaking people’s property.

Anarchists? Please stop it! Because a person wears a black shirt with a large red “A” on it, does not an anarchist make. The truth is that a vast majority of anarchist, at all times and places, have opposed violence as morally repugnant and counter-productive. It is a folk myth for ill informed morons that anarchists are wild eyed bombers with no opinions, just an insane urge to destroy.

This shows the ignorance of those who cannot understand a concept so they must turn it into something evil and violent. They are wrong! They are lying! And they are ignorant!

Revolutionary Democracy

UPDATE:  I wrote this piece about 3 and half years ago…..DAMN!  Take that Oracle of Delphi!

This is something I think the US needs desperately.  Some may call this Anarchy, or Socialism or whatever you want–it does not matter the title; what matters is that we need it now.

Revolutionary Democracy

What is it?  How does it work?  Before I answer these and other questions, I need to let the reader know that as an observer, I write like I think, I have no time to be grammatically correct, so if for some reason it offends the readers sensibilities, I would say……..Okay.

Please, because the word “revolutionary” is used it is not necessarily meaning some form of armed conflict.  If one cannot move past some arbitarily defined word, then move on, we do not need your input.

I am a revolutionary democrat.  That does not mean I am a member of the Democratic party, far from, it means that I see a need for drastic changes in our system of government.  While I might agree with some of the stances of the DP, I should by no means be confused for a lame half-witted politico.  A revolutionary democrat sees the following as necessities:

1–aim for fundamental change. such as a redistribution of power and social equality.

2–insist on the big picture, making connections between concrete issues and causes.

3–emphasize brotherhood which implies giving up on stands that only fragment such as the damn silly thought of partisanship.

4–the emergence of a mass movement rather than the acting “for” the people.

5–to work outside the box of electoral politics, for the party system is committed to the nation state not the needs of the people.

Revolutionary Democracy sees the multinational corporations, imperialism and a new form of colonialism as the harbingers of a world crisis.  It is time for the people to take control of their lives and their country.  The people must demand and get accountability from their representatives, something they have none of today.  Time for the people to step up to the plate and learn to play ball; to take the decision making out of the hands of millionaires and put into the hands of the people.  A time for participatory democracy, where all lead and all govern.

At the present time in this political epoch, with corruption, scandal and non-caring, the reps you now have are nothing but spokespeople for big business and the wealthy.  They only care about the people every 4 years or so, once they have the vote they move on to their real objective–self-interest.

As long as the people continue on their path of subjugation, they will never have a voice in their destiny, just turn it over to those who prefer to lead and will lead to the path of ruin.

Right now, the people have the ways to take back their country and their government, but they must want to change the world and must want to end the political slavery they are now participating in.

Anarchist? Anarchy? WTF?

Ok recently a bomb was detonated at a military recruitment station in Times Square, NYC.  And shortly a note was sent to the authorities that said Happy New year, We Did It.  The problem with that is that NO ONE knew who “WE” were.  There was no to determine who “we” are.  Then the report was it was not from a terror group mostly likely an anarchist group.  If you do not have a suspect why are they always anarchists?

First of all, does anyone know what an anarchist is?  A hint has nothing to do with bombs.  Anarchy is a form of socialism that says there is no need for the state, theat the people are capable of governing without the state apparatus.  But no where is there a need for bombs.  The anarchist of the media is just that–made up bullsh*t!

Anarchist have been a dirty word in the press and has been used to describe something the press wants.  back in the 1880’s at a May Day parade in Chicago, Hay Market to be exact, a bomb went off and from there forward bombs and anarchist are the same.  It is stupid–It is ignorant and it is moronic!
