AS we know from the news many of our Red States are enacting laws that will suppress the voter turnout………one of the lamest excuses comes from my secretary of state……
Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson, the state’s top election official, getting very explicit about why he believes the state (and others in the “new” South) needs to tighten voting rules:
So think about all those woke college and university students now who will automatically be registered to vote whether they wanted to or not. Again, if they didn’t know to opt-out, they’re going to be automatically registered to vote and then they receive this mail-in ballot that they probably didn’t know was coming because they didn’t know they were registered to vote. You’ve got an uninformed citizen who may not be prepared and ready to vote. Automatically, it’s forced on them: ‘Hey, go make a choice.’ And our country’s going to pay for those choices.
Uninformed citizen?
I believe that is called the GOP.

I am still finding hard to believe that ‘The American Public’ is sitting still for this blatant vote-rigging. I suppose some are apathetic, some just don’t understand, and the rest are reading Gun Monthly.

I find it very difficult to grasp that politicians want to limit the right to vote.
Even make it more difficult!
Do they simply forget that people have fought and died for the right to vote.
Universal Human Rights
Article 21:
Everyone has the right to take part in the government of his country, directly or through freely chosen representatives.
Everyone has the right of equal access to public service in his country.
The will of the people shall be the basis of the authority of government; this will shall be expressed in periodic and genuine elections which shall be by universal and equal suffrage and shall be held by secret vote or by equivalent free voting procedures.
FREE not limited difficult and standing hours in line.
Do not forget we have something called states rights here….and that is where the suppression begins and will be challenged. chuq
As long as there is an entity calling itself “The United States of America, Jim Crow will live and will live either overtly or covertly and in one degree or another … but it will never be eliminated from the system of government or from the minds of the people because it is part and parcle of the dna of a certain number of people … and by the way, it operates from both sides of the fence …Jim Crowism is not just a fault in the psyche of White People… a certain form of it exists on the other side as well … it is called “Reverse Discrimination.” None of this is ever going to be resolved any more than the gun violence problem is ever going to be resolved.
