Vegas Confidential

Another loner has gone ballistic this time in Las Vegas…..the body count is high…..58 dead and 500+ wounded….the highest tally of any single attack in the US…the deadliest mass shooting in our history.

A 64-year-old gunman fired down into a country music festival from the 32nd-floor window of an adjacent hotel, killing at least 58 people and injuring more than 500+ before killing himself.

The day after Trump goes to Puerto Rico he will show up in Las Vegas where he will make his official statement on this horrific attack…..

President Trump on Monday called the mass shooting in Las Vegas Sunday night an “act of pure evil” and said he would visit the city to meet with victims and first responders on Wednesday, reports CNN. In a brief news conference, Trump also praised the response by police and medical personnel as “miraculous” and credited it with preventing an even further loss of life. “It is our love that defines us today,” said Trump, per the Washington Post. “Our unity cannot be shattered by evil, our bonds cannot be broken by violence.”

Earlier, Trump tweeted his condolences for the victims, and he reiterated that in his address. “We cannot imagine their loss,” he said of victims’ families. Former President Obama also weighed in, tweeting that “Michelle & I are praying for the victims in Las Vegas. Our thoughts are with their families & everyone enduring another senseless tragedy.”

What about the aftermath…..all the same questions will be asked….all the same speculations….all the same analyses…..then the story fizzle out and we just sit and wait for the next attack so the the same questions can be asked, same speculations will be offered and the same analyses spread.

Basically, this is a horrific attack and it will happen again because NO one wants to change a thing.  We can condemn this action as useless and senseless….but condemnation means nothing without action.

  1. With no chance of a repeal of the gun laws, this will just keep happening over there. My fear is that by saying it is the ‘biggest’ shooting in US history, that some other deranged person will try to ‘beat the record’.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. This guy was cleaner than I am. No matter how tough our laws are – he would have been able to buy whatever he wanted. You seem to be looking for things to rant about, try not to fall into that rut – because it’s very hard to pull yourself out of it.
