Bringing Down the Globalist Monster

Since many seem to read a title and then think they know what the post is about…I thought I would try something different…..

Have you noticed that there is a new word that is making the rounds on sites like FOX and Breitbart and even some blogs…..the term is “globalist”….the alt-Right adores the use of labels…..Me?  If I call someone a moron it is not a label so much as an observation…..

To some it is referring to the expansion of globalization and to others it is an off-handed insult…….an insult for anyone that is not a faux conservative of today….

This article is a bit of a Libertarian look at globalization…..(sorry for the trickery)

The main issue in the world today is globalism versus national sovereignty, and it is playing out in the politics of countries on every continent.

In the United States, GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s critique of globalism – encapsulated in his campaign theme of “America First” – has galvanized a mass movement opposed to the internationalism of the regnant elites, their transnational allegiances and their foreign wars.

In Britain, the opposition to the European Union culminated in a referendum which – against all odds, and against all the Powers That Be – repudiated the EU in a stunning blow to the political class.

For a couple of years now anyone that would stand up to the GOP and its shitload of lies and platitudes has been labeled an “apologist”……

I understand when some spout the crap about the UN as a tool for a one government world….I think they are mistaken….the UN could be a positive step in international relations but not before they eliminate the control of the Security Council by 5 nations…..

While I agree in principle to the push back against globalization….I do not like the term of “globalists”….I do not mind being insulted but at least get it right.

      1. Demonization seems to be a key to control and if there are going to be political parties then one must be in control because both can’t be in control at the same time because their ideological perspectives are often so far apart. Otherwise we would justify a one party America and I doubt that is going to happen anytime soon.

        Demonization has always been part of the equation and probably always be and no amount of hypotheticalism or wish-dreaming is going to change it.

      4. No modern candidate that I can recall has ever paid anything other than lip service to honesty, integrity, humility or moral courage. In today’s dog-eat-dog political arena principles are nothing more than hinderances to winning elections. The day of the principled is archaic now.Those days are gone and will never return. The deluded who operate on the basis of principle are dinosaurs now. There is now a new role model for leadership and it has little or nothing to do with the principles embraced by the old school. Thus if Reagan were to appear on the political stage today he would be laughed to scorn as would any other candidate from the former nobility defined by those old political parties whose face has changed to embrace the new non-principled approaches to everything. The lust for power is what drives modern politics among the politicians and the lust for instant gratification is what drivers the voters. This is the new face of reality.The voters have become as unprincipled as those who lead them and that is where our country is today so I guess we had better adjust or accept the fact that the new political paradigm will run us over and leave us in the dust.

Basically, I agree with you…I am looking at it from my way of dealing with the vote….since it is my vote I will deal with it my way by studying issues ans solutions that are at least possible…..these candidates are nothing more than slogans for the unwashed masses to hope them up as if in dope.

  2. The issue is, as it often is, not the real issue. Yes, there is a group that wants to have a world under one government, with one economy, etc., and since they are just as crazy as the next human, who knows how it might work, or even look? Especially when considering getting eight billion people to ALL adopt one idea is, in my mind, just another delusion.

    The real issue is the need to label, to organize others into groups we can either identify with, or against. That’s human nature, though sadly misunderstood. As long as we feel the need to identify others according to some label we decide to apply, we will not learn to consider the entire picture, and will fall short of any expectations we have of succeeding in our quest for peaceful interaction amongst us.

    Before humans can learn to stop the need in themselves to deny their own humanity, we won’t learn how to survive this universe, for our actions are contrary to the rest of what IS…..

    And, btw, nobody but me will decide when I become dust….
