We hear a lot about all the hate and dislike that some have for the Dem nominee Hillary Clinton, but this is not a story…..anyone that was around in 2008 and her battle with Obama will remember all the hate spewed forth about both candidates from the different directions….but 8 years later the hate and dislike are from a different angle than in 2008……
I admit it I was not a supporter in 2008 and definitely am not in 2016…she never has been likeable at least in my book…..
Supporters of Hillary Clinton who feel she’s on the receiving end of undue amounts of sheer hatred might want to read an analysis on the subject at Slate by Michelle Goldberg. It doesn’t refute that this hatred exists—in fact, the piece revisits articles on the same theme from 20 years ago or longer. Lots of people have always hated Clinton, it seems. But after interviewing voters on the subject, Goldberg concludes that why she’s hated has changed over time. “Strikingly, the reasons people commonly give for hating Clinton now are almost the exact opposite of the reasons people gave for hating her in the 1990s,” writes Goldberg. “Back then, she was a self-righteous ideologue; now she’s a corrupt tool of the establishment. Back then, she was too rigid; now she’s too flexible.”
Goldberg’s piece includes snippets from her interviews with voters of different ages and political perspectives (“programmed and almost robotic,” says a 49-year-old man; “disingenuous and she lies blatantly,” says a 31-year-old woman). But the animosity doesn’t seem to stem from policy, writes Goldberg. “It’s also driven by some ineffable quality of charisma, or the lack of it,” and she chalks up some of this to gender: “Americans tend not to like ambitious women with loud voices.” The piece also suggests that winding up with Donald Trump as an opponent might be a stroke of luck for Clinton, because Trump’s attacks on Bill Clinton’s infidelity might be the one thing that softens independent and moderate GOP women toward her. 2016 is an amazing election….we have 2 candidates from the major parties that have zero likeability with the voters, at least according to the polls……
I am looking elsewhere….how about you? I always liked the color Green……
Reblogged this on The Militant Negro™.
I still Hate her….Green is my fave color and always has been…thanx my friend….chuq
Reblogged this on AGR Daily News Service.
I appreciate the re-blog….chuq
Normally green is a favorite color but this time if I choose green, the Trump gold color prevails. This is quite the conundrum.
Yes it is….the problem is the Dems would have no one other than themselves to blame…they can try to spin it any way they choose….but they will know that their actions caused their problem.
Hillary hating and bashing goes back to the Clinton administration.
I have always been an Independent. But I too have my doubts about Crooked Hillary. Too much baggage, too many lies, and mishandling of foreign policy during her Secretary days. Now, she is promising on bringing in so many refugees (knowing we cannot properly vet them). With a stronger candidate (even Bernie Sanders) Turmped would be demolished in November. Dems are making a big mistake.
In the meantime, I will join the chant. LOCK HER UP.
Campaign promises are just that….few have ever come to light….she is a neocon plain and simple….we do not need more war…we need someone who can work problem out without bombing too many people….
Agreed. Our chance at a person like that was lost with the end of Bernie’s campaign.
Sad is it not?
We need a person who is competent. If I was a CEO who because of circumstances was forced to hire in a sensitive post. someone who is popular but totally inconsistent, impulsive, unreliable, unpredictable, openly vindictive, and hot tempered versus another one who is not well liked but who is more dependable, knowledgeable about my business and steadier in her demeanor, I would give the less likeable person a chance.
Personally, while I won’t be thrilled, I can sleep nights if Hillary Clinton wins. While I am ambivalent in my feelings towards her, these thoughts are tempered by the nightmare of the likes of a Donald Trump living in the White House which would definitely cause me to lose some sleep. .
I and many others will be jumping on the band wagon to place our votes in favor of Hillary Clinton, but I suspect that a portion of Bernie Sanders supporters will be voting green..
I will sleep nights no matter who wins….Trump just wreaks of fascist sounding rhetoric…..but it could all be just a show…..Clinton will keep us fighting wars of intervention….I will look at the Green Party….but still not decided….chuq
The likeability or the lack of likeability of a candidate don’t mean squat. What counts is who wins.
Like or dislike are everything…..we do not vote for the most capable person…instead we vote for the most celebrity of the bunch…the biggest mouth, the biggest show, etc…..
Votes? What do votes matter anymore?
They do…if not Trump would not be where he is today or Clinton either…
They are both where our controllers want them to be and where our controllers have created the circumstances for them to be. The vast majority of us are only spectators to a process.
I have been telling people that for decades…you cannot imagine the crap that people would day back in those dark days….
I’m sorry .. I lost your meaning at “would day” …
The word should be “say” not “day” sorry for the confusion….so this is about finished…
Uh . . . yeah … I guess!!
GUYS, There is a bigger story coming down the pike. Julian Assange of Wiki Leaks is claiming that the Russians had nothing to do with the recent DNC email leaks. Excuse me! This is like asking me to believe in the tooth fairy. When independent organizations state that the Russians hacked the DNC emails, and the FBI is now formally looking into this, I am not buying his denial. it is a real possibility that there is a Russian connection. Remember Edward Snowden? Both Putin and Assange hate Obama and by default, Hillary Clinton.
In several interviews, Mr. Trump has been an apologist for the Russian leader, Mr. Putin. Mr. Trump does do business in Russia. This bothers me a lot.
If future email leaks should push Hillary Clinton out of the picture, the way Senator Sanders has handled himself throughout the entire election process, will easily allow him to re-emerge again. Stay tuned…
Fascinating thoughts…..I will stay tuned…chuq
Gasp! Choke…. sorry, chuq. Can’t comment again on the DNC, or any of its participants… I’m choking on the futility, can’t catch my breath, making it hard to think up new ways to make fun of them, or denigrate the process, which has become nothing more than Washington’s version of a reality TV show, even more tightly scripted than those supposedly ‘candid’ programs the networks would have us believe were real time action.
Somehow, I am reminded of a statement by an atheist, to wit: “I contend we are both atheists, I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.” — Stephen F Roberts
In this case, replace god with election reality…
gigoid, the dubious
I have never like that MISTER SISTER from the get go.
What kind of example does she represent for young girls? The type of woman who would potentially choose her life partner(s) having such open and blatant disrespect for her. No thanks!
What kind of example does she represent for young boys? The only choice for their life partner(s) would be those whom possess the qualities of being so incredibly domineering and openly calculating right from the onset of a(ny) relationship. No thanks!
So people, I believe the NAYS have it!!! She is a double-thumbs down choice, at least from my perspective.
