The Dem convention is in full swing……and there is an important question that needs an answer……What’s a Democrat anymore?
Ever since the election of Bill Clinton I have asked the question…what is a Democrat anymore? Bubba was not the Dem candidate that I would have wanted…he was wrong then on so many issues but the party fell in line with him and his DLC cronies in a fight to regain footing in a country going ever more conservative……and the party has been changing into a party of big business and neoliberalism…..the party is not about moving the country forward but rather winning elections with vague promises of a better world that have seldom come true….
I still to this day ask the question and have very few answers that make sense, at least not to me…..and Politico has asked the same question…..

I am still fighting for a definitive definition of what a Democrat really stands for…..and yet it remains unanswered….and this election is doing nothing to convince me of their sincerity….
I am thinking GREEN……more on that after the convention….

A “Democrat” today is a person undergoing metamorphosis.
The Democrat of a few decades ago would be unrecognized at the DNC today.
But to the question, “What’s a Democrat anymore?” — A Democrat today is someone who wants to see more big government so that big government can provide every human need and protect all humans from every possible danger in the world.
This means to me that Democrats today wish to create an invisible “Super Daddy” (who I often refer to as “Uncle Sugar” but who will someday … inevitably … shed the cloak of invisibility and take human form because of some national crisis or a shift in the demography and we will see the coronation and rise of some power figure on the order of a Castro or a Guevera …. but the created power figure probably a lot tamer in nature and disposition … but it will mark the trend of where I think the Democrats are heading.
I think The Sanders campaign offered us a glimpse of such things to come and due to the widespread acceptance of the Sanders message I feel we are closer than ever to seeing this “New Socialist” tendency to flourish. The left-leaning Millennials are reported to be almost totally aboard this bandwagon of which I speak.
The GOP is also….they are more neo-liberal than conservative…GOP already has theirs….
Jeremy Corbyn is being assassinated here on a regular basis….from within and without his party….Will he survive? I do not hold much ‘hope’ You cannot buy this man…..so he is dangerous to the establishment.

It would probably be much easier at this juncture for the United (nothing United about it) States of America to Petition Canada to be it’s next Province. We could right that entire Ship of Fools in very short order.
Dems are now the conservs of yesteryear…
