I have from time to time pointed out the revisionist attempt to change our history….one of the biggest revisionist is one Glenn beck of FOX News……and from time to time, a few members of our government have shown a serious lack of knowledge about our history…..but one of the most revisionist in Congress is the Queen of the Tea Party….Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN)…….
Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) said the United States was founded on racial and ethnic diversity and that the founding fathers were responsible for abolishing slavery.Speaking at an event sponsored by Iowans For Tax Relief, Bachmann hailed the “different cultures, different backgrounds, different traditions” of the early European settlers in America, adding that the “color of their skin” or “language” or “economic status” didn’t preclude them from seeking happiness.
“But we also know that the very founders that wrote those documents worked tirelessly until slavery was no more in the United States,” Bachmann added, claiming “men like John Quincy Adams… would not rest until slavery was extinguished in the country.”

Did she NOT pay attention in American History class? Beyond that, where would she get such an idea of history…….from an old friend…there is where…..
And then there is MSNBC’s Chris Matthews who did something that many have wanted to do but were concerned on their ratings…..I agree with Matthews on this one….watch the video…it is a bit lengthy but well worth the watch….

Yeah, well… Beck just makes it up as he goes along – the gullible and the stupid believe him just because he’s on TV – but then so is Mickey Mouse!

Well, good, but that’s no more than we’d expect of interviewers on TV in the UK. Jeremy Paxman would absolutely tear the guy apart. Similar, but I suspect better…
However, good job and he made the point. Politicians though, as you know, NEVER answer the question – unless it’s the one they asked first themselves!
I was kinda proud of Matthews for saying the things that he did……he is a bit too conserv for me….but at least he tried……I liked full Mooners….great line and I will use it again……
