We all have seen, by now, that horrible photo op of the president in front of a boarded up church holding a Bible….it was sickening and the push back by the religious community has been hard on Donald…..

The American Conservative has called that day as the “Day the presidency was lost”…..

I believe that yesterday was the day that Donald Trump lost the presidency.

After days of urban rioting, the likes of which America hasn’t seen in over fifty years, the President of the United States finally deigned to show himself and address the nation. He gave a pro forma address in the White House, then, law enforcement personnel having gassed peaceful protesters to clear the way for the president to walk across the park to St. John’s Church, Trump strolled over, stood in front of the church holding a Bible, for a photo op.

I agree under normal circumstance….but these days there is NOTHING normal and there will be die hard Trump supporters that will always find something positive…..I wish I could see it….to me he looked awkward and like his diaper needed changing….it was staged photo op…….

Deja vu all over again!

I have not heard a rant like this for decades.

Lindsay Graham has proved what a clueless, out of touched, ignorant douche bag he truly is.

We all know about the rant that that racist prick in the Whiten House has been spewing about a couple of Comgresswomen……now Graham the good little lap dog he has become has shown his age in stupid remarks……

“Well, we all know that (New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) and this crowd are a bunch of communists, they hate Israel, they hate our own country,” Graham said during an appearance on “Fox and Friends.” “They’re calling the guards along our border, the border patrol agents, ‘concentration camp guards.’ They accuse people who support Israel of doing it for the Benjamins. They’re anti-Semitic. They’re anti-America.”

Graham added that if the group of lawmakers are made “the face of the future” of their party, “You will destroy the Democratic Party.”  (Would that be the same as the destruction of the GOP that Graham and his ilk are doing?)

Hahahaha!  This shows just how far out of touch what is left of the GOP truly is…….this is all these stupid lumps of manure have is to insult and lie…..a typical day for the GOP.

Does my old radical heart good to hear that type attack once again…..Thanx Lindsay for showing that nothing has changed in the GOP over the decades.

When a party has NOTHING to offer the voter then they resort to lies and bullshit….and what works for OLD FARTS is the “S” word……

I keep hearing a lot about “socialism” these days, mainly from Donald Trump and Fox News, trying to scare Americans about initiatives like Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, universal child care, free public higher education, and higher taxes on the super-wealthy to pay for these. 

Well, I’m here to ask you to ignore the scaremongering.

First, these initiatives are overwhelmingly supported by most Americans.

Second, for the last 85 years, conservative Republicans have been yelling “socialism” at every initiative designed to help most Americans.

God I have missed the “Love it or leave it” crowd…..the ignorance of that statement shows the ignorance of the supporters of the GOP….worthless lumps of manure.

I have listened to our Beloved Leader on many occasions and his use of simplistic language leads me believe that he has NO grasp on complex ideas or thoughts.

My daughter and I were discussing our Beloved Leader and I told her that he says he is a”really smart person” but I think that if he is a grad of Wharton, probably the 2nd best business school, then daddy bought his degree.

Then I read something his professor i marketing had to say about student Trump……

Donald J. Trump was an undergraduate student at Wharton for the latter two of his college years, having graduated in 1968. 

Professor Kelley told me 100 times over three decades that “Donald Trump was the dumbest goddam student I ever had.” I remember his emphasis and inflection — it went like this: “Donald Trump was the dumbest goddamn student I ever had.” Kelley told me this after Trump had become a celebrity, but long before he was considered a political figure. Kelley often referred to Trump’s arrogance when he told the story that Trump came to Wharton thinking he already knew everything.

Cohen heads to Capital Hill to testify….and everyone in the pocket of our Beloved Supreme Leader is doing all they can to keep Cohen from being believed……

The SLUG GOP rep from the Florida panhandle…Gaetz had his moment of Trumpism in a Tweet…..

“Hey @MichaelCohen212 – Do your wife & father-in-law know about your girlfriends? Maybe tonight would be a good time for that chat. I wonder if she’ll remain faithful when you’re in prison. She’s about to learn a lot…” the tweet said. It was unclear what prompted the allegation.

What a cowardly attempt to bully a Congressional witness…..it is a violation of Federal statues……and Gaetz quickly back peddled his worthless drunk ass and withdrew and apologized for the Tweet…..

“It was NOT my intent to threaten, as some believe I did,” the congressman wrote on Twitter. “I’m deleting the tweet & I should have chosen words that better showed my intent. I’m sorry.”

Pelosi made it clear……

The point is this man is a representative of the people of the Florida Panhandle and should not play political games and should know how to act as a public figure and not stoop to the scummy level that he has……but slime will be slime.

Rep. Gaetz has prior experience making headlines for less-than-positive reasons. He has always been very open about his own brush with the law before he became a state congressman. (He was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2010 and to the U.S. Congress in 2016).

Gaetz was arrested on suspicion of DUI on October 30, 2008, when he was 26 years old. He was driving home from a nightclub and was pulled over for driving 48 in a 35 mile-per-hour zone, according to the Tampa Bay Times. The SUV belonged to his father, State Senator Don Gaetz.

Again to quote my grandfather…”When you point at someone remember there are three other fingers pointing back at you”…….a smart man my grandfather……

Obvious Explanations Are The Best

Many people both Left and Right have been wondering just what Trump has done to keep so many supporters even after he has been caught lying to them and breaking promises left and right…..

I read a story that helps to explain this phenomena……..

It’s incomprehensible to many of us that people could support a president who, in Bernie Sanders’ words, “is compulsively dishonest, who is a bully, who actively represents the interests of the billionaire class, who is anti-science, and who is trying to divide us up based on the color of our skin, our nation of origin, our religion, our gender, or our sexual orientation.”

Based on various trusted sources and a dab of cognitive science, it’s fair to conclude that there are three main reasons for this unlikely phenomenon.

Personally, after knowing a few of the Trump supporters I find Number 3 the most accurate…..they cannot accept they were wrong and will spend energy making excuses for whatever it is that Trump continues to do or say….they cannot admit that they were wrong!

“Stormy” Weather

Of course this is a post about Donald Trump…..have you noticed that his supporters are just like their man crush….they are bullies, self-centered and damn right boring……just like the president……but let’s move on….by now you have heard more than you want to know about Trumpy Bear’s(registered trademark) sex life.

There is so much more and more important of a story than the sleazy side of sex…..can you remember the evangelicals and their shaping of Repub politics?

This scandal-in-waiting shows more than Trump’s sexual tastes…..it illustrates that those evangelicals that have been so front and centered in GOP politics can NO longer claim to hold the moral high ground.
Donald Trump is a man without any discernible redeeming qualities, but nonetheless I’m grateful for one thing he’s done, without really trying: He has exposed the true nature of the Christian right. For more than a decade now, I’ve been diligently writing and researching, trying to build the case that the religious right is not motivated by moral values, but by hatred of women and LGBT people — and that many of them are white supremacists, to boot. And then here comes Trump, bragging about how he likes to “grab them by the pussy” and spreading racist propaganda, and sweeps up 80 percent of the white evangelical vote, more than true-believer George W. Bush got in 2004.
I can say that I never thought I would live to see the day when evangelicals make excuses for perverted actions of a politician…..
Personally I never thought these evangelicals held the moral high ground but they were given that title by the media and self-serving Christians that never live by Christian beliefs.

Poor, Poor Jeb!

Since Jeb! took a powder from campaign after his dismal showing in South Carolina pundits have been scrambling to find out just what went wrong…..

The common excuse was the rise and popularity of Donald Trump as the main reason for his demise……but is it?

The post-mortems on Jeb Bush’s failed campaign are rolling in. Some examples:

  • Don’t blame Donald Trump. “What killed Jeb Bush’s campaign was first the failure of his brother’s administration, and then the emergence of Marco Rubio to present a more attractive face for its continuation,” writes Jonathan Chait at New York.
  • Still, Peter Beinart at the Atlantic explains why Bush was Trump’s “perfect foil.”
  • The Week sums things up by collecting 19 “devastating quotes” that compare coverage of Bush in early 2015 with more recent stories.
  • One problem: His campaign underestimated “Bush fatigue,” observes the Washington Post.
  • Another: He didn’t have advisers who could recognize shortcomings and, more importantly, point them out to Bush himself, says this piece in Politico Magazine.
  • How on earth do you spend $130 million and have so little to show for it? The New York Times digs into “one of the least successful campaign spending binges in history.”
  • Those early stumbles on Iraq didn’t help, notes CNN.
  • Gary Legum at Salon bids “good riddance” to the “Bush Dynasty” with the question, “Can anyone think of another family dynasty that has had such a huge role in a particular stretch of American history, yet has almost zero hold on the country’s imagination?”

Stop blaming Trump!  A terrible candidate is just that….a terrible candidate….of which Jeb! was one.

All that is well and good but some of us say it, his campaign, for it was…..a YAWN!

Jeb! had all the appeal of a cold dry noodle…….he will never be a national candidate.  Even surrounded by Daddy Bush and Bubba Bush advisers….he still had No chance…..

Time for us to move on and let Jeb! slink away to lick his wounds and explain to major donors why he pissed away their cash…..besides….who f*cking cares?

2016: “Will They Miss Me When I’m Gone?”

Wrong!  This is not about Boehner and his decision to cut and run…….

2016 is getting interesting instead of just plain pathetic…..the GOP field was expanded to 17 candidates in the beginning and now they are slowly but slowly fading away from the election….first Perry an early fave….then Walker also an early fave….what does that say about the front runners?

Anyway……we know that there can be only ONE….(great Highlander (a movie) reference)…..so of the remaining mind fuckers who will be the next to go?

Rick Perry and Scott Walker have already dropped out of the GOP presidential race; who will be the next to go? Politico takes a “bipartisan survey of the top activists, operatives, and strategists in Iowa and New Hampshire” each week, and the latest thinking among Republicans is that Bobby Jindal, George Pataki, and Rand Paul will drop out next. In Iowa, 25% of Republicans predicted Jindal (“He’s become desperate,” says one, “and has nothing going on here in Iowa”) while in New Hampshire, 27% predicted Pataki (“The Spice Girls were big in the 1990s, too, but no one wants to see them on a reunion tour”). In both states, Paul “won” the second-place slot of who is most likely to drop out.

So where would Democrats place their bets? 40% of Iowa Democrats predicted Paul will be next to drop out and 34% of New Hampshire Democrats predicted Jindal. Earlier this week, CNN was also predicting the next drop-outs, using the Political Prediction Market, a “game that factors polls and other elements and invites users to predict where the election will go.” The most recent one found that Lindsey Graham is the most likely to drop out, with 85% odds, followed by Rick Santorum with 83% and Jindal with 80%.

OOPS! There Is A Thing Called The UCMJ

I have stated that I think all the FOOLS making a determination on the Bergdahl thing from hearsay are IDIOTS!  Political game at the expense of a person’s life….that makes them lower than low.

Is he a deserter or not?  opinions on this mean NOTHING for you see that determination will be made by a military court under the uniform code of military Justice (UCMJ).  No amount of ranting by bug-eyed twats like Malkin or Douchey-bag from FOX can change that simple fact.

Under the UCMJ he may not be charged with desertion…..and now you want to know why…..right?

When is a solider a deserter? Critics have accused Bowe Bergdahl of being one; there’s even a petition to the White House calling for his punishment and a popular “Bowe Bergdahl is NOT a Hero!” Facebook page. But the Idaho Statesman pointed out on Saturday that Bergdahl was never formally named a deserter, and today Mother Jones explains more about why: A soldier isn’t a deserter until administratively classified as one, which typically happens on his 31st day of being AWOL—on unauthorized leave. Classification is not conviction, however, though it does mean the soldier could be court-martialed and possibly convicted of the felony of desertion.

If the military classifies someone as a deserter before the 31st day, officials need to prove the soldier left without intending to return—and Bergdahl was captured after just 24 hours away. If the military decides not to prosecute a deserter, it can opt for an other-than-honorable discharge, or to “retain and rehabilitate” the soldier. Whether any of this will be relevant remains to be seen: Military experts predict the Army will deem Bergdahl’s five years as a Taliban prisoner as time served. Nonetheless, the military plans to investigate Bergdahl’s case.

I am disgusted with the media, politicians and most of all the people….for they are convicting this person without evidence other than some hearsay.  And he is being used as a pawn for political gain…..he does not get the benefit of doubt….whatever happened to “innocent until proven guilty”?

The American people are a PATHETIC lot!
