It seems that QAnon has started a conspiracy that bin Laden is not dead and it was his body double that was killed…..and the president has decided to help spread the manure (as usual)……
The alleged killer of the terrorists has this to say….
A former Navy SEAL famous for his involvement in the operation that killed Osama bin Laden is calling out President Trump for amplifying conspiracy theories that the death was fake.
Robert O’Neill, who has publicly said he killed bin Laden in the 2011 raid ordered by former President Obama, pushed back on Trump in a series of tweets for promoting the conspiracy theory that it was a bin Laden’s body double who was killed and not the terrorist leader.
“Very brave men said goodby to their kids to go kill Osama bin Laden. We were given the order by President Obama. It was not a body double,” O’Neill wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.
Liars just cannot cease helping other liars spread their bovine fecal matter…..and Trump is the biggest liar of them all.
All presidents stretch the truth when they need to….but this just flat out lies and does not care that he is caught in that lie…..besides his adoring brood will lick up lies like ice cream.
How sad is that?
“Totalitarianism in power invariably replaces all first-rate talents, regardless of their sympathies, with those crackpots and fools whose lack of intelligence and creativity is still the best guarantee of their loyalty.” Hannah Arendt
We all remember the name of the bastard that lead the attacks on 9/11…Osama bin Laden…..now that he is dead we should be free of the name right?
NO!
His son is making a name for himself…..Hamza bin Laden…..and the US is offering a reward for information on his location…..a million bucks….kinda low for info on a known terrorist…..
“Submit a tip, get paid,” reads the tweet from the State Department’s Counter-Terrorism Rewards Program. In this case, the US is looking for a big tip—and offering a handsome reward: The US announced it will pay up to $1 million for information leading to Hamza bin Laden, the 30-year-old son of Osama. The State Department describes him as an emerging al-Qaeda leader who has issued audio and video threats against the US and Western nations loyal to it in revenge for his father’s death. The BBC reports that letters found in the compound where Osama was killed in 2011 indicated Hamza was the son he was grooming to take over for him. He was added to the US’ Specially Designated Global Terrorist list in 2017, and he has another familial terror tie: Relatives in 2018 said he had married the daughter of Mohamed Atta, the eldest of the 9/11 hijackers.
As for his general whereabouts, “We do believe he’s probably in the Afghan-Pakistan border [region] and… he’ll cross into Iran. But he could be anywhere though in … south central Asia,” said Assistant Secretary for Diplomatic Security Michael Evanoff. NBC News reports the UN took action against Hamza as well on Thursday: Member states are required to freeze his assets and adhere to a travel ban and arms embargo against him. In the meantime, Saudi Arabia has made its own move against the young bin Laden: Per the kingdom’s interior ministry, his citizenship there has been taken away, the Independent reports. The Washington Post notes that the revocation actually occurred by royal decree in November; it’s not clear why it’s coming to light only now.
Hamza’s luck is running out……but is he truly a threat or are we just trying to eliminate a problem before it becomes one?
****Please this is only a post of an opinion of several people….it is posted here as an engine for thought and conversation….I by NO means am implying anything other than a source for discussion****
Back in the 70s when there were numerous terrorist attacks there was an argument the “one man’s terrorist is another’s freedom fighter”….this is a paper from a grad student…..
The ‘One man’s terrorist…’-cliché challenges the notion that ‘terrorism’ and ‘freedom fighting’ are mutually exclusive concepts where the former is always illegitimate. “The question of who is a terrorist,” writes Ganor (2002:287), “depends entirely on the subjective outlook of the definer.” By definition, the slogan will almost hold true by definition, if taken to its logical extremes. After all, it only takes ‘one man’ to consider the act freedom fighting for it to become such – and this ‘man’ can very well be the terrorist him or herself. The power of the slogan thus derives from its implicit invitation to assess a terrorist act from the perspective of the terrorist; emphasising the importance of critically reflecting on what factors influenced the choice of resorting to terrorism. But this subordinates a means or tactic – terrorism – to an end or strategic goal – fighting for freedom. As such, the slogan implicitly holds (paradoxically) that ‘terrorism’ is inherently bad while ‘freedom fighting’ is good, and that labelling an act freedom fighting precludes it from also being viewed as terrorism.
Now Osama…we all know him as the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks and was later killed by SEALs for his “crimes”.
Now think about something…..what if Osama had legit gripes?
You’re not supposed to utter these words, but what the heck: Osama bin Laden had a point. No, his grievances, as well as those of his followers and sympathizers, didn’t excuse the mass murder of 9/11—not by a long shot. After all, I am a native New Yorker whose family and neighborhood were directly touched by the horror of those inexcusable attacks. Still, more than 17 years after the attacks on the Pentagon and twin towers, it’s worth reflecting on bin Laden’s motives and discussing the stark fact that the United States government has made no moves to address his gripes.
Now is as good a time as any. The U.S. military remains mired in wars across the Greater Middle East that have now entered their 18th year. The cost: $5.9 trillion, 7,000 dead American soldiers, at least 480,000 locals killed and 21 million refugees created. The outcome: more instability, more violence, more global terror attacks and a U.S. reputation ruined for at least a generation in the Islamic world.
NOTE: Once again I offer these for discussion not that it is an approval by IST….
Learn Stuff!
After some thought I feel that I will get little discussion for most know this person from biased news reports. But I still would like to see what others think.
It is no secret that I was NOT a supporter of Bill Clinton by any stretch of the imagination…..I believe it was his policies that caused so many of the problems we have today….his push to repeal Glass-Steagall ( GLASS-STEAGALL ACT OF 1933) lead to the crash of 2008….his push for NAFTA lead to the rush of immigrants…..his conservative policies have lead us to this point in our history.
But the biggest screw up was his wimpy pursuit of Osama bin Laden after the bombings in Kenya….and if he had been more aggressive then there is the possibility that 9/11 may not have happened.
The White House Situation Room was buzzing. It was fall 1998 and the National Security Council (NSC) and the “intelligence community” were tracking the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden, the shadowy mastermind of terrorist attacks on American targets overseas. “They’ve successfully triangulated his location,” yelled a “Sit Room” watch stander. “We’ve got him.”
Beneath the West Wing of the White House, behind a vaulted steel door, the Sit Room staff sprang into action. The watch officer notified National Security Advisor Sandy Berger, “Sir, we’ve located bin Laden. We have a two-hour window to strike.”
Characteristic of the Clinton administration, the weapons of choice would be Tomahawk missiles. No clandestine “snatch” by our Special Operations Forces. No penetrating bombers or highspeed fighter aircraft flown by our Air Force and Navy forces. No risk of losing American lives.
I apologize for the spotty replies on my part but I have been dealing with a provider that is doing maintenance and the connection has been hit and miss for a couple of days….please bear with me.
In the words of Osama……
Recently the CIA released a massive amount of declassified documents gave an old researched something to do in his spare time…..and then another bonanza for researchers….the release of the works of Osama bin Laden.
After his death in Pakistan the SEALs collected many documents that were valuable intel source…..as a parting shot Obama has released the documents for all to see…..
From Thomas Joscelyn, The Weekly Standard: “The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) released 98 additional items from Osama bin Laden’s compound Thursday. If the ODNI has its way, then these files will be the last the American people see for some time. The accompanying announcement is titled, “Closing the Book on bin Laden: Intelligence Community Releases Final Abbottabad Documents.” The ODNI says today’s release “marks the end of a two-and-a-half-year effort to declassify several hundred documents recovered” during the Abbottabad raid. But the total number of files released thus far, including today’s document dump, is just a drop in the bucket compared to what was found in the al Qaeda master’s compound.”
In its last day running the country, the Obama administration has released a final batch of documents once belonging to Osama bin Laden, the AP reports. The 49 documents made public Thursday were part of the hundreds taken during the 2011 raid that led to bin Laden’s death. Intelligence officials have been working for years to declassify them. Despite multiple releases over the past two years, there are believed to be between 100 and 200 documents still classified, according to CNN. It will be up to the Trump administration whether to release them.
The 49 documents released Thursday include letters to and from bin Laden, his mother, and his deputies. They include instructions to multiple sons about how to travel safely and without being detected by enemies, including the CIA, and a rare letter from one of his daughters, who discusses her multiple ailments. The documents show bin Laden arguing with an al-Qaeda splinter group that would become ISIS, whose methods he found “brutal and violent,” the Mirror reports. They also include memos about al-Qaeda “best practices,” complaint boxes, monthly revenues, and an “oversight committee.”
As a person who loves research this will be a valuable resource for me……for those interested in what Osama was thinking and how he was reacting…..
It is the researcher in me…..time to start the weekend…..please everyone thanx for all the visits and comments they are much appreciated….be well, be safe….chuq
In closing how about some classic rock? 5 Hours of sheer joy…..
That would be OSAMA with an “S”…just in case there are any Breibart trolls in hiding.
The day is 02May2011….Obama (with a “B”) announced the news that Osama bin Laden, head of Al-Qaeda, has been killed in Pakistan….and the country went into a euphoric celebration….vengeance has been ours.
Since that day all AQ communications has come through the new leader of the group, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, that is until now…..the ghost of Ossama has spoken through his son, Hamza……
The son of al-Qaeda’s slain founder Osama bin Laden has urged Saudis to “overthrow” the kingdom’s “oppressive and tyrannical” rulers to free themselves of US influence.
In an audio message released by the militants’ media outlet, Hamza bin Laden urged the Saudi tribes to join the Yemen-based al-Qaeda franchise to “gain the necessary experience” to “wage jihad” against the House of Saud.
“There must be an uprising against the American agents, [true] Islamic law ruling the land and the overthrow of the criminal ruling family, which has turned the Land of the Two Holy Mosques into a kingdom of [the West and Iran],” bin Laden said.
For years we Americans were obsessed with everything Osama….he was the anti-Christ, the number one terrorist, public enemy #1….he was everything evil in the world and he was linked to lots of other things…….conspiracies, theories and a whole bunch of BS……
But all that came to an end about 4 years ago when he was killed by a SEAL with a big gun……..with his death we got a bunch of intel from his papers, notebooks and such…….the big story today is his bookcase, at least it is for the MSM……what sort of books did this evil person read?
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence yesterday released an “unprecedented number” of documents recovered in the raid on Osama bin Laden’s hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan (among them: an al-Qaeda application and a warning about Iranian dentists). The ODNI also released a completed list of the 39 English-language books (though one is described as a “single saved webpage” and another as “only the book’s introduction) found there. The New York Times frames the bookshelf as a “weird hodgepodge.” The Guardian points out that the collection “bizarrely” includes a number of books by conspiracy theorists; one alleges George W. Bush had foreknowledge of 9/11. The full list is here, with 15 standouts below:

Most Americans could care less what he was reading……but me I found it interesting…….He seem to have a varied taste in reading material which shows he was not an idiot……but the one question that NO one has asked is ……why would a fundamentalist Muslim, a Wahhabi, need a book entitled……”A Brief Guide To Understanding Islam”? I find that an interesting choice of reading material.
That book and its reason for being there would make an interesting story……at least I believe so.
The scary part is that I have also read a few of the same books as Osama…..so is that he has good taste in books or am I just a radical in waiting? LOL
Do remember where you were when you heard the news that bin Laden had been killed?
Since that day there have been numerous documentaries about the event……the Seal Team Six has become a national hero….Hollywood has made a fortune from telling and re-telling the story…..and TV has glorified the work by the CIA and others to locate and kill the world’s number one terrorist…….the long arduous hours of data collection and analysis.
But as with most everything that has been done of late was it mostly propaganda?
A lengthy new report by the investigative journalist Seymour Hersh turns the official account of Osama bin Laden’s assassination on its head. In the London Review of Books, Hersh writes that the US didn’t, as it has said, discover bin Laden’s location through couriers. Instead, top Pakistani generals knew where bin Laden was—in fact, as Hersh puts it, “bin Laden had been a prisoner of the ISI at the Abbottabad compound since 2006,” and a Pakistani official revealed the information for a large portion of a $25 million reward the US had put forward in 2001. Hersh bases his report largely on an anonymous source he describes as “a retired senior intelligence official who was knowledgeable about the initial intelligence about bin Laden’s presence in Abbottabad.” Obama did order the Navy SEALs raid on the compound, but it didn’t happen the way the White House has said, Hersh writes.
“There was no firefight as they moved into the compound,” the source says. Bin Laden, who was an “invalid,” was simply shot. Ensuing accounts, including President Obama’s speech, provided inaccurate details. Though Obama acknowledged working with Pakistani intelligence, the account by John Brennan, now the CIA head, rejected the idea that Pakistan had any knowledge of bin Laden’s location. Hersh’s report is an “explosive” one, writes Seth Maxon at Slate, but he notes that its trustworthiness is uncertain, “since it mostly relies on the information of a single anonymous source—and because it doesn’t appear in Hersh’s usual venue for blockbuster investigative pieces, the New Yorker.” Business Insider agrees that it “should be viewed with skepticism.” Read it all here.
In case you are curious about this……here is the review from the UK…….
Is this true or is it just another made up story by a nationally known journalist? Will we ever know the truth about this event? Are we just celebrating a lie?
Do you remember what you were doing when you heard the news that the SEALs had removed America’s number one enemy? Dead is the worst prick of our time….Osama bin laden.
We heard about the raid and even a few docs that tried to explain what happened……and now we have a squabble by 2 SEAL team members over who fired the kill shot…….
Robert O’Neill says his bullet killed Osama bin Laden in Abbottabad in 2011, but others aren’t so sure. It’s a little confusing, but as Reuters and the New York Times report, there were apparently three SEALs involved: a point man and two other shooters. In a 2013 Esquire article, O’Neill, identified only as “the Shooter,” said the point man saw bin Laden first, but his shot missed; O’Neill then fired two shots into a still-standing bin Laden. Fellow SEALs, however, say “the point man” fired not just the first shot, but possibly the fatal one—certainly one that wounded bin Laden.
A former commander calls O’Neill’s two shots “insurance” rounds that were fired into an already-collapsed bin Laden. In his 2012 bookNo Easy Day, Matt Bissonnette said the point man shot bin Laden in the head, but he “was still twitching and convulsing” when Bissonnette and another SEAL “fired several rounds.” Will the point man ever come forward as O’Neill and Bissonnette have? It sounds unlikely. “You’re never going to hear from him,” a former SEAL Team Six member told ABC News last year. He “doesn’t think he did anything special. He simply pulled the trigger when he was supposed to. That’s why he’ll never go public.” A rep for the US Special Operations Command says it could be at least 20 years before the official report on the raid is declassified.
Like a couple of strutting peacocks.
My thoughts are….what a couple of greedy pricks. For one, the info on the raid is not declassified and that should put a silence on these two squabbling twats.
This is typical of the American mindset these days…..in search of fame and fortune….everybody wants to be the hero..
These two money hungry d/bags took an oath to serve this country…but it becomes a journey to fame and fortune….self-promotion becomes more important than the oath they took to serve……a man is only as good as his word……these two are worthless self-promoting douche bags……….
Their actions crap all over the concept of team……..for them it is not about the mission and the their oath….but rather personal gain….the modern day mantra of America.
There is NOTHING heroic about these two or anyone else that puts greed above their duty and their word…..it is shameful.
But these two will undoubtedly be rewarded for their betrayal……….BUT NOT FROM ME!
We Americans love our conspiracies and made up scandals…..we will overlook the obvious just to believe the moronic….this one ought to add the straightener in the right wing wankers……
In the last year we have had our fair share of scandals and conspiracies…..Benghazi, IRS, NSA….the continuing saga of “Fast and Furious” and 9/11 and a wealth of other total absurd crap…….but the one that seems to be more vocal than others, at least for now is the death of good old Osama.
This ought to add fuel to the fire……cannot wait to hear what Rush has to say….
Newser) – Veteran investigative journalist Seymour Hersh got people’s attention today with a comment made in passing during a wide-ranging Guardian interview. Amidst a rant on the media’s general unwillingness to hold President Obama accountable, Hersh touched on the death of Osama bin Laden. “Nothing’s been done about that story, it’s one big lie, not one word of it is true,” the Pulitzer Prize winner said.
He didn’t elaborate, but said there would be a chapter about the killing in his upcoming book on national security. He also said that a recent Pakistani report on the death was “bulls—,” and “was done with considerable American input.” Hersh also spoke at length about the media’s failings in general. “I’ll tell you the solution: Get rid of 90% of the editors that now exist, and start promoting editors that you can’t control,” he said. Click for the full interview.
Hersh is a respected investigative journalist and he may be on to something….or he could be just teasing people in an attempt to sell more of his upcoming book……..personally, I will wait for more information….I will draw my conclusion from what he has to say and then try to verify……I will not listen to anything the moronic radio hosts have to say…..
