What is it?

Project Blitz is a concerted campaign by the Christian nationalist movement to implement radical, anti-equality state policies and attack lawmakers who oppose them. It uses a distorted idea of “religious freedom” to influence legislation—one state law at a time—to undermine religious equality, attack LGBTQ discrimination protections, and reduce access to reproductive health care.


How does it attack equality?
The Congressional Prayer Caucus Foundation, which is a major supporter of Project Blitz, has published a 148-page policy manual that includes templates for 21 legislative bills. In 2018, over 70 such bills were
introduced in state legislatures around the country, with even more expected in 2019. Unfortunately, some lawmakers who have supported these bills are unaware of the true nature and motivations of Project Blitz.
The manual advises that advocates start with measures that Project Blitz considers relatively easy to pass, and then build momentum by proposing more dangerous bills that offer very broad exemptions for allowing
religiously based discrimination. Project Blitz encourages the growth and spread of “prayer caucuses” in state legislatures to advocate for these bills, and it is succeeding—about 33 states have now established
prayer caucuses in their legislatures. The campaign also encourages “faith-baiting,” seeking to brand opponents of these bills as being against freedom of religion. The proposed legislation falls under three
categories:


Category One: Legislation Regarding Our Country’s Religious Heritage includes bills such as the mandatory display of “In God We Trust” in school classrooms as well as bills that mandate Bible instruction in public schools. According to the guide, these measures “do not garner much organized
outside opposition,” and even if a bill doesn’t pass, it can still “provide the basis to shore up later support for other governmental entities to support religious displays.”


Category Two: Resolutions and Proclamations Recognizing the Importance of Religious History and Freedom includes measures like “Recognizing the Importance of the Bible in History” and “Recognizing Christian Heritage Week” in order to promote the false narrative of the U.S. being
founded as a Christian nation. The guide warns that while these measures will be criticized as favoring Christianity, such opposition does “not play well among members of the general public,” and “making opponents take a recorded vote against them is a win in and of itself. For such
measures, a vote is a win, regardless of whether the bill passes.”


Category Three: Religious Liberty Protection Legislation includes the “most hotly contested” measures such as the “Resolution Establishing Public Policy Favoring Adoption by Intact Heterosexual, Marriage-based Families,” the “Child Protection Act,” which allows publically-funded
adoption and foster care placement agencies to discriminate against same-sex couples, and the “Teacher Protection Act” which unconstitutionally allows teachers and school administrators to proselytize to students. The guide says such legislation should not be proposed unless it can win,
and that success is more likely with measures narrowly crafted to focus on “small business owners, government employees, health care providers, pastors, adoption agencies, and so on.”

Nazification Of American Society

I know few want to hear this but if those that are in denial would look at history they would see that Nazification is exactly what is happening to our society…..

Violence in the United States surpasses the unthinkable and increasingly resides in the space of apocalyptic rage, manufactured ignorance, and the normalization of a pervasive culture of ritualized barbarism. As civic culture collapses and truth succumbs to conspiracy theories, censorship, and the white washing of history, politics is emptied of democratic values, shared responsibilities, and a viable moral compass. Lawlessness is fueled by a diminishing lack of accountability in the political realm leading to an upsurge in racism, domestic terrorism, mass shootings and increasing threats of violence. Acts of violence erupt in even the most protected and secure spaces extending from schools to supermarkets, engulfing every facet of American life. We now live in a time marked by a politics of displacement, disappearance, erasure, patriotic frenzy, and political repression. Human suffering has been turned into a spectacle of racist aggression.

Violence, once hidden or proclaimed to be on the fringe of American society, is now at the center of power and everyday life and has become normalized. Violent threats are now repeatedly lodged against election officials, public health workers, teachers, librarians, as well as almost any politician who refuses to accept the lie that the presidential election was stolen. The threats of violence by a political movement of white supremist and election denying extremists   has reached an all time high as has its insane accusations, threats, and hate mongering. For example, influential pedlars of hate, particularly QAnon members, now claim that the Democratic Party is filled with blood sucking satanists who abduct and sexualize young children. The fallout from these kind of threats is too extensive to document here one example, as reported by The Daily Beast, captures the vicious lies mainstreamed by such groups and how they incentivize violence among their followers:

The threat of violence not only functions as political performance in the interests of political opportunism and the stoking mass violence, it also is used by MAGA Republicans to conquer major critical institutions of society that extend from public schools and libraries to the courts. Dark money now drives such extremism and the repressive laws aimed at women’s reproductive rights, the banning of books, the weakening of voting rights, and assaults on the rights of trans-gender people, among other attacks. Many of these attacks are driven by the modern Republican Party’s central fear of living with difference.

The Nazification of American Society and the Scourge of Violence

I just cannot imagine how the American people can ignore the track that our country is traveling….you do not need to be a rocket scientist to see what is happening…..and yet they allow it to continue.

There is only so much time allowed before these changes become permanent….

Neo-Nazis and Osama—-are unlikely allies?

Since the little fascist hate anyone with brown skin it is interesting that they have found common ground with Osama…

As the threat of militant neo-Nazi groups expands and gains the attentions of federal authorities, their online propaganda tactics are taking a page out of an unlikely playbook: well-known jihadist groups.

Two neo-Nazi terror groups in particular, both revealed to be under investigation by the FBI in a recent indictment of an alleged bomber who was a member of both organizations, have recently demonstrated that they’re learning from online propaganda created by ISIS and al Qaeda.

In a late May post, European neo-Nazi group Feuerkrieg Division (FKD) published a propaganda image to its now-defunct Gab page. The image featured a stylized, yet unmistakable, screengrab from an infamous ISIS how-to video promoting homemade explosives with the caption, “It’s easier than you think.”

Another moment in history when Americans can be proud (that is sarcasm)…….

The United States says it was one of three countries to vote against a U.N. resolution condemning the glorification of Nazism over freedom of speech issues and concerns that Russia was using it to carry out political attacks against its neighbors. 

The resolution entitled “Combating glorification of Nazism, Neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fueling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance,” was approved by the U.N.’s human rights committee on Friday with 131 in favor, 3 against with 48 abstentions. 

Ukraine and Palau were the other no votes.

This is a sickening moment for me……I am ashamed of this country’s leaders that would allow this vote…..

We all have read about the horrific attack last week in the church in Texas…..20+ killed including seniors and children….and as usual the conversation was all about the ease at which guns are available in this country.

But here is another conversation that most have not heard or seen…….the blame game.

There are some like that whack case Alex Jones that is blaming the anti-fascist movement for the carnage….the antifa.

Far-right websites and conspiracy theorists have promoted conspiracy theories alleging a mass shooting suspect was an anti-fascist activist in the wake of a deadly attack that left 26 people dead in a Texas church.

……..

Far-right forums and websites wasted little time ascribing the blame to anti-fascists (also known as Antifa), sharing a doctored image of the suspected shooter holding up a flag that read “anti-fascist action”.

Alex Jones, who heads the InfoWars conspiracy website, tweeted a video clip from his show on Wednesday in which he alleged Kelley was linked to Antifa. Jones described the alleged assailant as “an atheist [paedophile] obsessed with death” who “matches classic Antifa profile”.

Who Is The Alt-Right?

A new term that has appeared on the American political landscape…..alt-Right.

Basically is an attempt by some to give the hate mongers like KKK, Neo-Nazis, skin heads, et al a more respectable title.

Call them what we may a hate filled douche is a hate filled douche.

But if you are interested then I have a source for you…..

With the rise in public visibility of far-right-wing militants in the U.S. following the events in Charlottesville, much of the public is scrambling to understand just what this movement is and what forces are driving it. With much of the public discussing strategies for how best to fight right-wing extremism, the need for constructive solutions is greater than ever.

First and foremost, it’s important to point out that public support for far-right extremists is miniscule. The vast majority of Americans reject this movement’s violence and hatred. According to a Marist survey from the summer of 2017, just 4 percent of Americans said they support “white supremacy movement” or “white nationalism.” Similarly, just 6 percent embraced the term “alt-right.” Still, there is a legitimate concern that support for right-wing bigotry may grow in the future if left unchecked.

Adopt A Nazi!

You can adopt a tiger….or an elephant or maybe a whale….now there is a new twist to the concept……

The term neo-Nazis has had a bad couple of weeks…..it all started with the protests in Virginia….

Now a group is raising money for a specific purpose…..crowd funding has become the way of the future for raising the needed cash for this dream or that….and this one is very clever use of the cash raised……

More than 1,800 people have “adopted a Nazi” in the US, raising nearly $133,000 to help neo-Nazis and white supremacists “fund their own demise”.

The campaign, launched by the Jewish Bar Association of San Francisco (JBASF), invites individuals to donate money for every person planning to attend a right-wing rally scheduled for Saturday in the northern California city.

The Rise Of Evil

I know that there are many in this world that are concerned with the rise of the refugee population in their countries…..the horrifying stories get lots more press than any heart warming one…….and in most countries in Europe there is a rise in the far right political parties…..

An Argentinian man has purchased more than 50 items of Nazi memorabilia from a controversial auction in Munich. The single purchase, said to have totaled more than $683, 000 (£462,000), included a jacket owned by Adolf Hitler and silk underwear that once belonged to Nazi military leader Hermann Goering.

Though the event was closed to press following public outcry, the items under the hammer were sold under the theme,“Hitler and the Nazi Grandees — a look into the abyss of evil,” and hailed from the private collection of John K. Latimer, the physician at the Nuremberg trials.

According to Bild, 50 people attended the auction of more than 169 Nazi relics. An undercover journalist from the German newspaper reported the room was filled with young couples, elderly men, and muscular men with shaved heads and tribal tattoos. The buyer reportedly used the number 888 — the neo-Nazi code for “Heil Hitler” — to make his purchases. One of the items he bought was a brass container Goering used to kill himself with hydrogen cyanide.

It is sad….but at least we here in the good old USA do not have to worry about this sort of thing…….

A Polk County, Tenn., restaurant owner running for a congressional seat is outraging neighbors and the internet with an exceptionally racist campaign billboard, WTVC reports. “I am so enraged I can barely express myself without copious amounts of profanity,” Amy Hines Woody captioned her photo of the billboard on Facebook in a post that has apparently since been taken down. The billboard, which reads “Make America White Again,” was erected near her home by Rick Tyler. Tyler, who says he’s inspired by Donald Trump, is running a “campaign of explicit white nationalism,” according to Gawker. On his campaign website (which is also down; cached version here), Tyler says Trump has “loosened up the overall spectrum of political discourse.” He goes on to claim the “white American super majority,” needed to fight tyranny, is being destroyed.

While the “Make America White Again” billboard was removed Tuesday, Tyler is asking for donations to fund his other billboard ideas, including ones that read “Stop the Muslim invasion” and “Mamas, don’t let your babies grow up to be miscegenators.” Tyler, who is running as an Independent and got a whopping 0.4% of the vote when he previously ran in 2014, has no realistic shot at winning. Therefore, Gawker states that “his candidacy is probably best read as an example of that which Donald Trump hath wrought.” Meanwhile, calls for a boycott of Tyler’s business, the Whitewater Grille, are coming from former customers and the Kiwanis of Ocoee, which calls his billboard “repugnant.”

An Old Evil Returns

These days there are many that are worried about the refugees from war….how it will impact their society and so on…..but while they were laser focused on a “maybe” problem and old horror is returning all across Europe and possibly the world….

An evil from the early days of the 20th century is slowing and methodically taken over the mindset of the people….

To paraphrase an old Yiddish saying about kings and queens, you learn one heck of a lot more from a blanket silence from state authorities than from a roster of proclamations and declarations. What geostrategic calculation (or miscalculation) could possibly underlie the hushed-up decision of the West to go along with a drastic revision of World War II history that not only obfuscates the Holocaust and glorifies Hitler’s local East European collaborators and killers, but in effect rubbishes the history narrative of the Grand Alliance that freed Europe of Hitlerism? Not to mention the vast sacrifices of the Allies, still in the immediate family memory of millions of people, to free Europe of Nazism.

We recently reported on these pages about the February 16th neo-Nazi march in central Kaunas (Lithuania’s interwar capital and present second city) that featured a banner of six “national heroes,” five of whom were Holocaust collaborators. That piece concluded with a challenge to the mayor of the capital city, Vilnius, to ban or move the next-in-line March 11th neo-Nazi parade in central Vilnius. Alas, it went ahead without public comment from him, or from the American or British (or for that matter, any other) ambassador. The “good news” is that it featured “only” two Holocaust collaborators in the pantheon of heroes on the lead banner, there was “just one” hugeantisemitic image, and “only” a few swastikas in the Lithuanian style (with added lines) proudly worn in front of the nation’s prime institutions of government on the march’s route. There were the usual slurs against Poles, Russians, LGBT people and more.

Who Will It Be Next Month?

You know there is a sickness going around these days, especially with the election looming large…..right now it is those darn pesky refugees that may come to this country…..not long ago it was all those “illegals” streaming across the borders and before that it was all those damn black people that are demanding some sort of justice……

It appears that if you are Muslims….you can do no right or if you are a Hispanic….you too can do no right and then there are those #BlackLivesMatter people….they can do no right……

The news that some get is NEVER checked…..if it follows their perceived threat then it is gospel……like that half witted twat….Pam Geller……she tweeted this out the other day……

Evil to the bone. Muslims so seethe with hatred they cannot let a moment of grief for the victims of jihad to pass without incident or agitation. No humanity, no respect. Bloodshed evokes more bloodlust.

The bodies are not yet buried. This incident took place at a memorial for the victims of the unspeakable jihad attacks in Brussels. Trying to incite the crowd against the Jews, a devout Muslim runs into the center of the memorial, stamping on the flowers for the dead and screams “Palestine,” the rallying cry for jihadis and Jew haters everyone.

He was booed and removed but for those Muslims and Jew haters in the crowd — this is just the beginning (and they know it, support it).

But if you go beyond her HATE filled corner of the cesspool this is the report on that situation……

Belgian riot police clashed Sunday with hundreds of right-wing hooligans at a temporary shrine honoring victims of the Brussels suicide bombings, as investigators launched fresh anti-terror raids, taking four more people into custody, the AP reports. Police used water cannons when scuffles broke out in front of the Bourse, which has become a symbolic rallying point for people to pay their respects to those who died in Tuesday’s attacks. Black-clad men carrying an anti-ISIS banner trampled parts of the shrine, shouting Nazi slogans. Ten were arrested and two police officers were injured. Brussels Mayor Yvan Mayeur expressed his disgust, with Belgium still in mourning over the attacks that killed at least 31 people.

“We had 340 hooligans from different football clubs who came to Brussels and we knew for sure that they would create some trouble,” Police Commissioner Christian De Coninck said. “It was a very difficult police operation because lots of families with kids were here.” People trying to pay their respects were also dismayed. “It was important for us to be here symbolically,” said a 35-year-old comedian. But, she added, “there were lots of men who were here and doing the Nazi salute, shouting ‘death to Arabs,’ and so we weren’t able to get through.” Federal prosecutors, meanwhile, said Sunday morning’s raids were linked to a “federal case regarding terrorism,” but they didn’t specify whether it had any links to the March 22 attack.

Americans seem to forget that most of us are descended from……wait for it…..IMMIGRANTS.

But I guess if you predict doom and gloom that you will eventually be correct and then you can proclaim yourself off as some sort of modern day Nostradamus….for that is what so many search for…..not truth but rather notoriety…..

My question remains…..who will it be next month?
