MTG: What’s Her Game?

I have written several times about the Georgia Rep that badmouths her party, colleagues and now the Leader himself….and she still has not received the ire of any of them.

She recently called the America First thing the America Last…..

MAGA Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has gone scorched-earth on her own party again, lambasting the GOP for falling short of its “America First” motto.

The Georgia Republican is known as one of President Donald Trump’s most visible MAGA allies, but she has been left suddenly questioning whether the movement is faltering.

In an interview with Axios published Friday, Greene went as far as calling the party’s concerns “America Last.”

“It’s a revolving door at the White House of foreign leaders when Americans are, you know, screaming from their lungs,” Greene said. “If me saying those things are considered breaking with my party, then what is the Republican Party? I thought we were America First?”

Greene insisted she still supports Trump—saying he’s done “a great job in a lot of places”—but said his administration’s renewed focus on global conflicts has irked her.

Inflation and rising health-care costs, she warned, are hammering voters while Republicans ignore domestic priorities.

“Inflation skyrocketed under the Biden administration. But it’s like, okay, well, now we’re in charge, and when are we working on this?” she said.

Greene has also clashed with GOP leadership on health care, siding with Democrats in calling for action on expiring Affordable Care Act subsidies.

“Republicans have no plan,” she said. “[House Speaker] Mike Johnson has not had a single conference meeting about any sort of plan to deal with the ACA tax credits expiring.”

That comment comes after she lashed out at the House speaker for dodging questions about a Republican lawmaker accused of harassing his former girlfriend, in an Axios article published Thursday. Earlier this week, in an interview with The Washington Post, Greene raged against “weak Republican men” in Congress.

The congresswoman also slammed the administration’s $40 billion bailout of Argentina as “America Last,” arguing it puts U.S. farmers “on the verge of bankruptcy.” She also criticized erratic tariff policies, saying producers “don’t know if the tariff policy is going to change with a Truth Social post.”

What is her game?

After burnt earth rhetoric about the party and her colleagues why has Speaker not gone after her and punished her?

Just what is her game?

What does she hope to accomplish by her attacks?

Why are fellow Morons not gone after her with the hatred they go after anyone else that is so vocal?

Where is the condemnation from the MAGA supporters on social media?

What the Hell is going on?

The Right Is Desperately Searching For Their MLK

Since that blowhard Charlie was killed the Right has been doing everything they can to turn him into some sort of ‘figure’ that they can worship.

There have been talks of statues in the Capital, statues  around the country in ‘memorial’ squares, he has been given the Presidential Medal of freedom, and the list goes on…..

Is all this notoriety and for what purpose?

Republicans and conservatives are campaigning to quickly build statues and other memorials across the United States for the slain rightwing activist Charlie Kirk in the wake of his assassination at a college event in Utah last month.

Political leaders in states such as Florida, Michigan and Oklahoma have not only called for construction of memorials but in some cases also threatened to penalize colleges that refuse to publicly honor Kirk, who was killed on 10 September.

The heavy-handed push to honor Kirk, who held views that many see as racist and sexist, follows Donald Trump’s moves to restore monuments of Confederate leaders that were removed in recent years, which appear to be part of a broad effort to impose rightwing views on the country.

“The way in which you keep the culture war going – or the way that you win it – is to have religious icons like Charlie and use their face and their name and their likeness to further your cause,” said Matthew Boedy, an English professor at the University of North Georgia who has studied Christian nationalism.

Kirk, who co-founded the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA, was killed at Utah State University during one of his signature events in which he debated students.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/oct/20/charlie-kirk-memorials-republicans

The racist GOP needs a ‘hero’ and they are working overtime to make Charlie that symbol….trying to rival the respect that MLK has garnered over the decades…..

Congress moved to mark today 14 October, as a “National Day of Remembrance”; the White House ordered flags at half-staff after his death; towns are issuing local proclamations like it’s a civic sacrament.

“Every single American should take a long, hard look at the twisted soul and dark spirit of anyone who would want to kill a young man as good as Charlie Kirk,” President Donald Trump said at Kirk’s funeral last month.

You can feel the script they want you to read: grief scene, candles, a lesson about “free speech under attack,” a martyr who stood bravely before the mob. It’s not subtle.

It’s a bitter truth that America’s newest national days of celebration have honored Black and Brown activists, including Cesar Chavez and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., only after their deaths. These are activists who expanded civic liberties and legal protections to the far-reaching corners of American citizenry, with the latter being violently killed for his vocal outrage against the inhumane conditions of this country.

The Right Wing Desperately Wants to Make Charlie Kirk Its MLK

The Right will need someone that they can continually hold up to their racist entourage( Reagan just does not get it any more)…..they are terrified that once Donny craps out they will lose their hold on the fringe…..so what better way to try and retain their hatred than a ‘figure’?

MTG, Ya Think?

Recently the firebrand from Georgia has made some out of context comments about her GOP colleagues….but recently she made one that gave me a chuckle.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is publicly clashing with GOP leadership again—this time taking aim at what she calls a pattern of “weak” Republican men in Congress. Greene, who’s lately been sparring with House Speaker Mike Johnson over the handling of the government shutdown, accuses him and other male colleagues of marginalizing the party’s more forceful women, per the Washington Post. She argues that while President Trump has promoted women to top cabinet positions, GOP women in the House are sidelined. Currently only one Republican woman chairs a committee, compared to five Democratic women in top committee positions.

Greene, who won her Georgia district by criticizing Republicans, is no stranger to intra-party fighting. She previously tried and failed to oust Johnson from the speaker’s chair and had a stormy relationship with former Speaker Kevin McCarthy until they reconciled. Her campaign against House leadership has seen her break with Johnson on high-profile issues, including supporting Democratic efforts to extend health care subsidies and pushing for the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. Now, she’s arguing Johnson has pushed Republican women to the side, expanding on an argument she made earlier.

House GOP Conference Chair Rep. Lisa McClain pushed back, saying Johnson has treated women fairly and promoted members based on merit. Greene, however, maintains that women like herself and Rep. Elise Stefanik are too often excluded from real influence, chalking it up to intimidation or jealousy. “Weak” Republican men are trying “to marginalize the strong Republican women that actually want to do something,” she says. She also suggests GOP women—like those who’ve signed on to the discharge petition related to the Epstein files—are more willing to sustain pressure from the president or Johnson. Male colleagues “don’t want to get yelled at,” she says.

She has stated the obvious!

Where the Hell has she been?   the GOP has been that way for as long as I can remember.

With all her epiphanies I just wonder where the Hell she has been for all those years?

What will she stumble upon next?

Is It Too Late?

There is lots of talk on social media (so I am told) that we are losing the democracy that we all care so dearly about….the GOP has worked tirelessly for over 50 years to take the people out of any decision making situations

Now with Donny in charge their true colors are exposed and they can move as quickly as possible before the next election.

The one thing that makes democracy so desirable is….the people….

When the ancient Greeks came up with the concept of democracy, they envisioned a form of government in which the power rested with many, and not just a monarch or some other potentially despotic tyrant.

That’s quite literally what “democracy” means — “rule by the people.”

Of course, “the people” only meant Greek free men. After all, who knows what kind of craziness women, slaves and non-citizens would have come up with if they had been given a say in running ancient Greece.

Therefore, it is a bit unfair to criticize Republicans as “threats to democracy.”

Sure, when viewed through the lens of modern democracies, that label is certainly valid. After all, they are methodically trying to destroy the type of democracy that took more than 200 years to establish and improve in the United States until it was mostly inclusive (with more work to be done all the time).

However, the GOP very much embodies the spirit of the ancient Greeks by constantly trying to limit who gets a say in the government… and it ain’t “the people.” At least not if they vote for stuff Republicans don’t like.

Take Missouri, for example

Last year, voters there emphatically backed Proposition A, a ballot initiative that increased the state’s minimum wage, indexed it to inflation, and required employers to provide paid sick leave.

While these are the kind of policies Republicans like to dismiss as “socialism,” the people in the deep-red state (Donald Trump won it by 18 points in 2024) liked them quite a bit and passed the initiative by a wide margin.

As it turns out, they shouldn’t have bothered, or gotten excited about a minimum wage increase that was going to benefit a quarter of the state’s workers. That’s because Republican legislators in the Missouri General Assembly swiftly passed a bill to reverse the changes.

The GOP Is Working Overtime to Take the People Out of Democracy

Such tactics as gerrymandering….where the party picks its voters not the voters picking the party…..and now we have a full body assault on voting.

So the question now is….is it too late to repair the damage that the GOP and Donny are doing to this country?

Will the voter finally see what many of us have seen coming for many years?

Can this democracy be saved?

Is There A GOP Internal War Brewing?

Little by little the news is that there is trouble brewing within the GOP….some say it is for the soul of the party….there also seems to be cracks forming in the undying support for Donny and his brand stupid.

GOP Townhalls are becoming contentious….the people are staring to fight back against the policies of the party….

Shouts of “Vote him out!” echoed through a packed Nebraska town hall on Monday as Rep. Mike Flood struggled to defend President Trump’s policy and tax bill—and faced an audience ready to challenge every word. About 750 attendees made their dissatisfaction clear during the event at Kimball Hall in Lincoln, descending into heckling and loud boos as the Republican attempted to explain provisions of the so-called “big, beautiful bill,” particularly its changes to health care and Medicaid. As audience members questioned how the Republican could vote to take health care away from Nebraskans, Flood sought to address what he described as misinformation about the bill, per ABC News.

He tried to walk through health care aspects, emphasizing that the bill’s Medicaid changes wouldn’t affect disabled individuals, seniors, pregnant people, or anyone considered vulnerable. A key flashpoint was the bill’s stance on Medicaid coverage for working-age adults. “If you are able to work, and you’re 28 years old and you choose not to work, you don’t get free health care in America. If you are in this country illegally, you do not get free health care in America,” Flood said, drawing a vocal negative reaction.

Discussion turned heated again as tax policy came up. While Flood highlighted provisions like no tax on tips or overtime and pitched the law as a middle-class tax cut, audience members instead called for higher taxes on the wealthy and repeatedly chanted, “Tax the Rich!” Flood pushed back, contending that taxing high earners, as proposed by Democrats, would not fill budget gaps and would hurt job and business growth. But he “was continuously drowned out by the raucous crowd,” per ABC. “How much do the taxpayers have to pay for a fascist country?” one attendee asked, per CNN, drawing cheers from the crowd. Another said Flood was complicit in a “fascist machine.”

Well that guy was about as popular as a turd in a punchbowl.

All that does not mean the MAGA idiots will disappear just that is some sort of tug of war going on with the young Republicans…..

Young Republicans are split over the future of the party, with two warring factions seeking to position themselves as the true MAGA warriors ahead of a weekend vote for control of the party’s youth arm.

On Saturday, young party members will converge in Nashville, where they’ll decide between two slates to lead the Young Republican National Federation: Grow YR, led by current YRNF Chair Hayden Padgett, and the insurgent Restore YR campaign, led by New York State Young Republicans Chair Peter Giunta.

The brawl between the two slates is both personal — including interpersonal clashes and squabbles over hotel loyalty points and committee assignments — and ideological, with both sides looking to prove their loyalty to President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement. But the fight is also a microcosm of a schism ready to burst in the party at large, which is already delicately trying to chart a course for its post-Trump future.

Restore YR, which is seeking to unseat the current leadership in an effort to “restore trust, opportunity, and unity,” has won the endorsements of hardcore MAGA firebrands like Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), longtime Trump ally and convicted felon Roger Stone, Florida GOP Chair Evan Power, and Turning Point Action Chief Operating Officer Tyler Bowyer, who was one of several “fake electors” in Arizona in 2020.

What do you think should be the focus?

Stock Trades

From time to time, I hate to admit it) a GOPer has a good idea that deserves consideration….and Sen. Hawley has provided me one of these times.

A proposal to bar members of Congress from buying or holding individual stocks cleared a Senate panel Wednesday, with Republican Sen. Josh Hawley crossing the aisle to join Democrats in an 8-7 committee vote. Hawley, who introduced the bill, said, “I practice what I preach,” noting he doesn’t own stocks and isn’t a billionaire—a not-so-subtle jab at some colleagues.

  • The measure would bar lawmakers and their spouses from trading or owning individual stocks, giving them 180 days to divest, CBS News reports Annual compliance certifications and periodic audits would be required. Lawmakers would still be allowed to invest in diversified mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, or Treasury bonds, reports Fox News.
  • The measure was originally called the Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments (PELOSI) Act—after former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. She has been under scrutiny for her husband’s stock trades, but there is no evidence he used inside information, Politico reports. It was renamed the Honest Act following negotiations. “While I appreciate the creativity of my Republican colleagues in drafting legislative acronyms, I welcome any serious effort to raise ethical standards in public service,” Pelosi said in a statement.
  • All the other Republicans on the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs voted against the legislation. Sen. Rick Scott, himself worth hundreds of millions, argued there’s nothing wrong with being wealthy and called attacks on the rich “disgusting.” He said: “Anybody want to be poor? I don’t.” Some GOP senators pushed for blind trusts as an alternative, but Hawley dismissed those as “loopholes.”
  • In negotiations with Democrats, Hawley agreed to extend the ban to presidents and vice presidents, but only in future administrations, meaning President Trump and Vice President JD Vance are exempt, Axios reports.
  • During a press conference Wednesday, Trump said he liked the idea “conceptually,” claiming Pelosi “became rich” by having inside information.
  • Trump changed his tune later in the day. In a post on Truth Social, he blasted Hawley, accusing him of playing into Democratic hands and questioning why he “would pass a Bill that Nancy Pelosi is in absolute love with.” “It’s a great Bill for her, and her ‘husband,’ but so bad for our Country!” Trump wrote. “I don’t think real Republicans want to see their President, who has had unprecedented success, TARGETED, because of the ‘whims’ of a second-tier Senator named Josh Hawley!”

https://www.commondreams.org/news/senate-stock-trading-ban

I am not particularly fond of Hawley for his war mongering politics is abhorrent to me, but in this case I am with him on this….Congress as well as the president and his thugs should not be allowed to profit from insider information.

These do-nothing hacks in Congress are getting richer from their knowledge of events to come…..this should stop and stop NOW!

Let’s Ban Weather Modification

There has been a wealth of bills flying around to ban experiments in controlling the weather…..there is no experiments to control the weather…..but that does not stop the GOP from using it as a tool for crowd control.

Republicans across the country are working hard to pass bills banning something that the fringe corners of the internet told them to be afraid of: weather modification.

Weather modification refers to geoengineering processes such as solar radiation modification and cloud-seeding that are used to counter the effects of global warming and drought, respectively. These processes have been woven into right-wing conspiracy theories that the government is able to control the weather, and MAGA lawmakers—fearful that the Democrats could rule the heavens and summon a deluge to wipe them out—have started to take action.

Republican lawmakers in nearly 20 states have introduced legislation to prevent weather modification. Some of the laws allude to “chemtrails,” a conspiracy theory that planes aren’t leaving “contrails” of condensation in the atmosphere but are spreading chemicals on an unsuspecting public. In two states, Florida and Tennessee, those bills have passed and been signed into law.

In July, right-wing concerns about weather modification reached a new fever pitch.

Earlier this month, Environmental Protection Agency head Lee Zeldin announced an effort to “compile everything we know about contrails and geoengineering” and release it to the public.

Days later, Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene and Tim Burchett introduced the Clear Skies Act, a bill that would levy steep penalties for anyone who “knowingly conducts weather modification,” including geoengineering, cloud seeding, solar radiation modification, and the release of aerosol to “influence temperature, precipitation, or the intensity of sunlight.”

After Hurricane Helene struck the southeast United States in October, Greene boosted the right-wing conspiracy theory that the Biden administration had used weather manipulation to target Republican areas ahead of the U.S. general election. “Yes they can control the weather,” Greene wrote in a post on X at the time. “It’s ridiculous for anyone to lie and say it can’t be done.”

Another waste of time and resources…..but then that is what the GOP does best.

Did Hell Freeze Over?

I am not a fan of any GOPer that has stupidity and is proud of that…..but on occasion I have heard one of these dullards say something that makes sense, at least to me…..

As ignorant as I believe MTG is she recently called for something that I could agree with and of necessary support….

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has said she will be introducing an amendment to remove $500 million in military aid for “nuclear-armed Israel” from the 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), marking a rare acknowledgement of Israel’s nuclear weapons from a member of Congress.

The US has a policy of ambiguity toward Israel’s nuclear weapons program and does not acknowledge its existence or pressure Israel to sign the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). It’s estimated that Israel has somewhere between 90 and 300 nuclear weapons.

“I’m entering amendments to strike $500 million more for nuclear-armed Israel. And it’s important to say nuclear-armed Israel, because they do have nuclear weapons,” Greene told Steve Bannon on his “War Room” podcast.

“And we already give them $3.4 billion every single year in the state, from the State Department. $3.4 billion every single year. They don’t need another $500 million in our defense budget. That’s for the American people’s defense,” Greene added.

The US provides Israel with $3.8 billion in military aid each year under a memorandum of understanding signed between Israel and the Obama administration. Of that amount, $3.3 billion is provided through the State Department’s Foreign Military Financing program, and $500 billion goes toward missile defense through the Pentagon.

The US has also provided billions of dollars in additional military aid after October 7, 2023. According to Israeli media, the US has financed roughly 70% of Israel’s war-related military spending since then.

Greene went on to stress the importance of acknowledging Israel’s nuclear weapons. “And Israel, you can—nuclear-armed Israel, I think it’s really important to phrase it that way. Nuclear-armed Israel doesn’t need $500 million more from the American people. Our government just bombed Iran on their behalf and destroyed their nuclear,” she said.

(antiwar.com)

I agree…..stop enabling these thugs of the Middle East….for without the US they are nothing….and without the control they have on the media then the whole damn world would know just how brutal and barbarous they truly are…the media is their best tool in their struggle to prevent their atrocities coming to light.

I wish MTG gets signers for her amendment and maybe then the Israelis will be brought into the light and held responsible for the evil ways.

We can only hope.

Then another Right winger has made a statement that I have previously stated…..for those that hold dual citizenship and join the IDF without ever serving the US military should lose their citizenship….once they serve they have shown that Israel is their primary concern and not the US……and a person that I seldom agree with has made a similar statement….

Tucker Carlson, the former Fox News host and a leader in the Republican Party’s isolationist wing, said that Americans who previously served in the Israeli Defense Forces should have their U.S. citizenship revoked over concerns of dual loyalty. At the same time, he also criticized the Trump administration for trying to deport pro-Palestinian students who engaged in anti-Israel activity on campus.

“There are a lot of Americans who’ve served in the IDF — they should lose their citizenship,” Carlson said in a 45-minute speech on Saturday at the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in Tampa, Florida. “You can’t fight for another country and remain an American, period.”

In a Q&A session after his remarks, Carlson also appeared to agree with an audience member that the Trump administration’s crackdown and deportation of pro-Palestinian students who engaged in anti-Israel activity is “totally outrageous.”

These two ideas ought to get the naysayers up on their high horse.

Rise Of The New Confederacy

“The South shall rise again”….has been the war cry of the racist and now it appears that it has happened and all with the help of the Supreme Court, especially John Roberts….

Back in 2011 there was a prediction, a look forward, if you will….

The tactics by the GOP are working the system to return to the 1950s and give racist their wish of a new confederacy…

This is an article from 2011….

The South’s alternative vision of the good society was defeated in the Civil War, and our 20th-century history can be told as a narrative of halting progress toward greater tolerance and equality. The major plot points include regulations on corporations in the early 1900s; women’s suffrage in 1920; a social safety net in the New Deal; the Supreme Court’s rejection of Jim Crow laws in 1954; the civil rights and feminist movements of the 1960s; the gay rights victories since the 1970s.

For the Confederacy that now dominates the GOP, truth is solid and fixed and divinely embedded in the structure of the universe. Humanity’s responsibility is to accept and believe the truth rather than test ideas against actual experience. The Confederacy’s obsession with originalist” interpretations of the Constitution – a twin of biblical literalism – is the classic example: truth must be eternal, universal.

The new Confederacy rejects that process wholesale. Its leaders and authorities are the spiritual descendants of the conservative Christians and charismatic radio preachers who broke away from religious modernism in the 1920s and 1930s. For these leaders and their followers, faith justifies – and verifies – itself. You don’t believe an idea because it’s true. It’s true because you believe it.

https://inthesetimes.com/article/new-confederacy-rising

Now fast forward and to the court….

This mess we find our country in is all Chief Justice John Roberts’s fault. There are many other actors contributing to our current situation, but Roberts has been the most consequential of them. His actions lead to the conclusion that he wants to dismantle the “Second Founding” and return to a Confederate/Jim-Crow-style apartheid system.

Roberts has been working his entire career to undermine the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments, which were ratified after the Civil War. These amendments are also known as the Reconstruction Amendments. They are considered a “Second Founding” because they reoriented the Constitution from primarily promoting states’ rights to emphasizing individual rights and federal power in protecting those rights.

In 2013’s 5-4 Shelby County v. Holder decision, Roberts concluded that racism was a thing of the past. Racial discrimination in voting, according to Roberts, simply wasn’t a major problem anymore. This landmark case — by glibly pretending that racism is no longer a factor in elections, while allowing states-sponsored voter suppression and intimidation — reveals Roberts’s own latter-day racism.

When the history of the Trump era is written, John Roberts will be featured as the man who used Trumpism to finally win what southern racists call the “War of Northern Aggression.”

For My Fellow Seniors

AS an old fart I watch the doings in Moronic center, DC, for my fellow seniors need to stay informed on how the government will tackle their problems as they grow older….especially the marginal ones that will depend onMedicaid for the health issues.

Below are some of the more absurd excuses for throwing people off the Medicaid rolls…..

In their zeal to deliver a big win to President Donald Trump by passing his sweeping tax and spending bill, Republicans have been coming up with ridiculous ways to defend their plan to strip health care from an estimated 11 million low-income people.

Experts don’t matter. Prove you are worthy of health care. We’re all going to die anyway. Somehow, these are actual arguments GOP lawmakers and officials have been making as they try to gloss over the pain their bill would impose on poor people and families while handing big tax breaks to mostly rich people.

Here are five of the most absurd ways Republicans have tried to defend their so-called Big Beautiful Bill, which guts federal health and food assistance programs by nearly $1.3 trillion.

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/medicaid-cuts-republican-bill_n_6842ebdde4b04a6fce05e8c5

Then there is the whole tax thingy in Donny’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ BS….

Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” will slash the household resources of the poorest Americans by about $1,600 while boosting the wealthiest households by roughly $12,000, the Congressional Budget Office said in a distributional analysis released Thursday.

What Happened: CBO analysts in their analysis released on Thursday found middle-income families would gain a more modest $500 to $1,000 a year, but the lowest decile would lose ground largely because the bill pares back Medicaid and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits and adds 80-hour monthly “community-engagement” rules for able-bodied adults.

he package extends many 2017 tax cuts, creates temporary breaks on tips, overtime and car-loan interest, and raises the standard deduction for seniors, yet offsets part of the cost by shrinking safety-net programs.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent warned lawmakers on Thursday that failure to pass the measure could push the nation toward economic disaster, and Idaho Republican Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) argued “the solution to our debt crisis is not to tax Americans more, it is to spend less.” He goes on to say that extending “proven tax reform is critical for working families.”

Nothing about nay of this should surprise anyone for the GOP has been gunning for entitlements for decades and now they have the perfect storm to attack and destroy as much of these programs as possible.

If you are a senior or close to retirement you might want to pay better attention than you have in the past for your future is in their incapable hands.
