FBI Agents to Infiltrate Political and Religious Groups

In these days of massive fear the country has allowed the police and military to invade their privacy on the premise that they will be much safer if these groups have access to your stuff.

I read an article that talks about the FBI and their infiltration of groups in the name of security……

Beneath the FBI’s redaction marks are exceptions to rules on “undisclosed participation.”

President Trump has inherited a vast domestic intelligence agency with extraordinary secret powers. A cache of documents offers a rare window into the FBI’s quiet expansion since 9/11.

Using loopholes it has kept secret for years, the FBI can in certain circumstances bypass its own rules in order to send undercover agents or informants into political and religious organizations, as well as schools, clubs, and businesses.

I am amused that people find this outrageous.

Has anyone out there ever heard of the COINTELPRO?  And yes this is another history lesson for you.

Between 1956 and 1971, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) conducted a campaign of domestic counterintelligence. The agency’s Domestic Intelligence Division did more than simply spy on U.S. citizens and their organizations; its ultimate goal was to disrupt, discredit, and destroy certain political groups. The division’s operations were formally known within the bureau as COINTELPRO (the Counterintelligence Program). The brainchild of former FBI director j. edgar hoover, the first COINTELPRO campaign targeted the U.S. Communist party in the mid-1950s. More organizations came under attack in the 1960s. FBI agents worked to subvertCivil Rightsgroups, radical organizations, and white supremacists. COINTELPRO existed primarily because of Director Hoover’s extreme politics and ended only when he feared its exposure by his critics. A public uproar followed revelations in the news media in the early 1970s, and congressional hearings criticized COINTELPRO campaigns in 1976.

Well it looks like the head of the FBI gets a thank you from our new president…..

James Comey will stay on as FBI director under President Trump, reports the New York Times. Neither the White House nor the FBI has announced the news, but Comey has been telling top aides of late that the president wants him to remain. The Washington Post and ABC News have confirmed it. The decision has been closely watched, given Comey’s controversial role in the election: Hillary Clinton supporters say he cost her the election with a last-minute inquiry into her email that ultimately yielded nothing, while Trump had criticized his earlier decision not to bring criminal charges against her over the email.

Funny how that worked out, huh?

The FBI and other law enforcement agencies will be able to search multiple computers across the country with a single warrant thanks to a controversial rule change that takes effect on Thursday.

The expanded search power, known as “Rule 41,” is intended to make it easier for the FBI to carry out complex computer investigations. Until now, the government could only carry out a search of computers located in the district where the federal judge granted the warrant—typically only a few counties in a given state.

Rule 41 came about as part of a regular review of criminal procedure conducted by a conference of federal judges. After several years weighing the rule and a public comment period, the conference then submitted the suggested rule change to the Supreme Court, which then approved it to go into effect on Dec. 1.

When Are American Deaths Important?

Before I begin…..the situation is dire in Gaza…..there is a basic blockade by Israel….no traffic in or out, no building supplies in, no food or few med supplies, no approach from the sea…there has been a couple of flotillas that have tried to break the blockade for humanitarian reasons and have been stopped by Israel….including the most recent “women’s flotilla”……

News has come out the Israel will pay $20 million in compensation for one of these incidents…..

As part of the reconciliation package with Turkey, Israel today sent some $20 million in compensatory payments into the Turkish Justice Ministry, from which it will be distributed to the families of 10 slain Turkish citizens killed by Israeli troops on the Mavi Marmara.

The Mavi Marmara attack saw  attacking and boarding the aid ship MV Mavi Marmara, which was bound for the Gaza Strip and carrying humanitarian aid. The Israeli military claimed the crew resisted, and ended up killing 10 of them, and while Israeli officials spent years spinning this as a great success, it did major harm to Israel-Turkey relations.

I have one question about this compensation package……Is the $20 million coming out of the deal from the US that sent $38 Billion to Israel?  Is it US taxpayer money?

A few years ago a terrorist attack killed the American ambassador to Libya and three other Americans….the outrage was immediate (most trying to gain political clout)….so my question is…..when are American deaths important?

On 26 February, Mahmoud Shaalan, a 16-year-old Palestinian-American born and raised in Florida, was shot multiple times by Israeli soldiers at a checkpoint near Beit El settlement in the occupied West Bank.

Seven months on, 15 human rights groups have written to the White House urging the Obama administration “to demand that Israel publicly release all evidence” related to the military’s internal investigation into the killing.

The Israeli army claimed Shaalan stabbed a soldier, but “eyewitness testimony contradicts this account.” After Shaalan was shot, “soldiers reportedly stripped his body, left him bleeding on the road for more than two hours and prevented a Palestinian ambulance from approaching.”

To answer my question…..American deaths are only important when they provide some political agenda…..

There is a history of allowing Israel to kill Americans with no consequences….the USS Liberty comes to mind….

Okay, if he was some sort of undercover terrorist with a knife then let the FBI investigate and either prove or disprove the allegations.

All American deaths that are suspect should be investigated….and this death is suspect.

We need to STOP protecting Israel for their deeds……they are NO better than any other nation and should be made to prove all allegations.

IST Hits A Home Run

The number of Americans traveling to Syria to fight alongside the Islamic State group has slowed to a trickle in the last year, but as the so-called caliphate is “crushed,” many militants from Western nations who are already there will stream out of the region and create new security threats.

“There will be a terrorist diaspora sometime in the next two to five years like we’ve never seen before,” Comey said.

How many time have you heard the idiots tell us that the terrorists hate our freedoms and our way of life?  How many?

It seems that an FBI report does not agree with the standard bullshit offered up by the morons on the Right.

A newly-released 2011 FBI Intelligence Assessment shows the 11 percent uptick in terror plots against the US from 2006 was led by US persons, not foreigners. A “broadening US military presence overseas and outreach by Islamist ideologues” bolstered the increase.

The previously classified document was the result of analysis conducted by the Los Angeles Division of the FBI and the Joint Regional Intelligence Center (JRIC), covering terrorist plots against the US and its interests from 2001 to 2010. It was made public via a California Public Records request to the Los Angeles Police Department, according to Muck Rock.

Dammit! Foiled Again!

I know that most of the knuckle draggers probably will not mention this because it will not feed into the hatred mime….but the FBI has foiled yet another possible attack in the US…..

A 36-year-old Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority officer was arrested at work Wednesday on suspicion of providing financial support to the Islamic State, NBC News reports. It’s the first time a US cop has been charged with aiding ISIS. According to CNN, the FBI had been investigating Nicholas Young for more than a year. Authorities say Young met with an FBI operative posing as an ISIS fighter 20 times, providing information on how to go unnoticed by law enforcement. He also allegedly bought 22 mobile messaging app gift cards to send to ISIS. Authorities say Young was never a danger to the DC transportation system and wasn’t planning an attack in the US; he was only interested in supporting ISIS abroad.

Metro officials first reported suspicious behavior by Young back in 2009. He is said to be a Nazi-sympathizer, collecting Nazi memorabilia and sporting a German eagle tattoo, Fox News reports. Authorities say he also dressed as Jihadi John for Halloween in 2014, complete with a headless dummy he carried around. Young traveled to Libya in 2011, and he told the FBI he did so to fight alongside rebels against Qaddafi. Young, who was fired by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority on Wednesday, faces up to 20 years in prison.

Wait! Why would they not acknowledge this successful sting?

Look at the name….Nicholas Young.

This cannot be used in their one trick pony diatribe….he was not a Muslim….plus he was a cop…..and to some a cop can do NO wrong……

My bet is that the typical sites that most ignorant Right wingers follow will not have anything about this….I do hope I am wrong….but I will not hold my breath.

Who’s To Blame?

I have been watching and listening to all the finger pointing surrounding the attack in Orlando……my first reaction was to ask why all the accusations not much is said about the attacks in South Carolina last year…these “people” bring up the Boston bomb and the attack in California but nothing on the attack in SC….I have a good idea why but refuse to be part of this…..

Some blame Muslims while others blame the guns……and few put the blame where it belongs…..the FBI.

The FBI is grappling with the aftermath of what a former Homeland Security counterterrorism coordinator calls one of its “great nightmares: someone they looked at who ultimately goes out and carries out a successful attack.” The FBI—which investigated and cleared gunman Omar Mateen twice—also investigated but failed to stop Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev and Texas gunman Elton Simpson, leading some experts to say the agency is hampered by strict guidelines and limited resources, the Washington Post reports. The FBI’s initial probe of Mateen, which began when colleagues at security firm G4S reported suspicious statements in 2013, took 10 months and involved phone surveillance, interviews, and the use of informants. It found no evidence of radicalization, but experts now wonder if more clues could have been found if more agents had been used.

The FBI is hampered not just by guidelines, but by the sheer volume of counterterrorism tips, with up to 10,000 investigations open at any one time, reports the New York Times. Sources say the agency is currently investigating more than 1,000 suspected “homegrown violent extremists,” a task that involves thousands of agents and analysts. Authorities say they’re trying to determine whether any leads were missed in the Mateen case. He was no longer on an FBI watch list when he bought the weapons used in the nightclub massacre, meaning the agency was not alerted, and Deputy Attorney General Sally Q. Yates says authorities are considering changing the system to ensure the FBI is notified when somebody previously investigated for terrorism links buys guns. (The FBI is considering charges against Mateen’s wife, who may have known about the attack beforehand.)

To try and change the conversation the government and the media have thrown suspicion on the present wife….

This is a typical story…..just change the name of the location and it would be the same worthless information it always is…..

Beware Of Those Pesky Anarchists

Tomorrow is Halloween and according to the FBI the popular custom this year will be that of an ANARCHIST!

From time to time the DHS will issue warnings of possible terrorists attacks or civil disobedience….actually most of it is just fear mongering….so far they have been less than accurate (polite way of saying “fucking wrong”)……

With Halloween approaching most people are concerned about what custom their child will wear and what “treats” will they get……but not the FBI….they are warning of possible attacks, of all things, anarchists……

The FBI has issued an alert to police warning anarchists dressed in Halloween costumes plan to create disturbances and attack responding police.

The “Halloween Revolt,” according to the federal law enforcement agency, is planned by the National Liberation Militia, a group reportedly from Eugene, Oregon, and said to be responsible for violence in Seattle during the World Trade Organization conference in 1999.

According to the New York Post the group is calling for members to wear Halloween masks and use weapons such as bricks, bottles and firearms.

First of all….what the Hell is ANARCHY?

Anarchy is a confusing word to define, since it has several possible definitions. The word comes from the Greek word anarchia, which simply translates as without or lacking in authority. In the modern sense, it may be used negatively or positively, but most often, the word is used in a negative sense to imply a complete lack of order.

In another sense, anarchism may refer to the idea that people would better profit without a government of any kind. Anarchists believe that most people can govern themselves and would be happier doing so. Within this idea of self-government, as opposed to government by the state, fall many theories of how lack of a government could possibly work. There are questions of whether people, for instance, have the same currency, be asked to abide by the same laws, or have any types of organized assistance.

It would be hard to argue that all individuals are capable of doing this. For instance, in a society that is deliberately anarchist, there is the question or what would be done with a person who was severely incapacitated by mental retardation. The person might not be able to act in his or her own best self-interest or for the welfare of the society. If that person had no caretakers, it’s unclear what provisions in an ungoverned society there would be for caring for such a person.

War on Dr. King

Back in the days of the civil rights movement there was No one more central than Martin Luther King….and during this time the FBI  lead by the cross dresser, J. edgar Hoover,  spent many hours trying to discredit everything Dr. King tried to accomplish….they tried labeling him a Communist…..as a serial adulterer……and any other dirty trick they could think of at the time…….

A recent discovery may have been one of the dirtiest……

In 1964, Martin Luther King Jr. received an anonymous letter assailing him as an “evil” fraud and threatening to reveal all kinds of sordid details about his personal life. Unless: “There is only one thing left for you to do,” it concludes. “You know what it is.” As Yale professor Beverly Gage explains in the New York Times, King read the letter and concluded that it could only have come from the FBI and that it was J. Edgar Hoover’s way of getting him to kill himself. Historians have long known about the so-called “suicide letter,” but Gage has discovered an unredacted version in Hoover’s files in the National Archives, and the Times has published it here. (Though the newspaper redacts the name of a woman the letter writer calls one of his “evil playmates.”)

The letter also makes reference to an “enclosure” and says King should listen to it, suggesting that it could be an audio recording related to one of his affairs. Gage writes that Hoover isn’t the author—instead one of his deputies, William Sullivan, “apparently took it upon himself” to write it. For the record, the letter never explicitly says King should commit suicide, and some historians think the intent was to get him to step aside as a civil rights leader, not kill himself.

Character assassination is what we Americans do when we a confronted by someone that does not fit our little range of acceptable…..and the FBI does it better than most.

Dr, Kong basically flip-off the letter and as they say….the rest is history.
