Last Week At The Sh*t Show–05Oct25

I apologize if this ruins your Sunday….

And the craziness goes on….

Last week was a busy week for Donny…..he and BiBi have a plan for Gaza, the government shutdown, he and Hogsbreath had a cheer leading meeting with all our generals, a big lower prices for drugs plan, and the beat goes on…..(if want to read about the analysis I have then they are all right here on IST)

THe US has sunk another of those “drug boats’…..there is something very scary about this whole affair….

President Donald Trump has offered a baffling legal justification for his extrajudicial military strikes on vessels the government claims are transporting drugs—and it’s a disturbing escalation of efforts to declare war against his enemies.

A confidential memo obtained by The Intercept that was sent to multiple congressional committees this week asserted that the president had sweeping discretion to order the executions of alleged drug smugglers because he had declared a state of “non-international armed conflict” against boats that are part of “designated terrorist organizations.”

But if the U.S. is at war, that’s for Congress to decide—not Trump—and the administration has offered no actual evidence to back up its claims that the vessels were linked to any drug cartel at all.

The memo claimed that Trump had the authority to determine cartels were “nonstate armed groups,” and that their transport of drugs constituted “an armed attack against the United States.”

Is there any proof these boats were cartel related or is this just Donny excuse to flex his muscle?

Let’s not forget the big plan from Donny, the Golden Dome…..

Months after US president Donald Trump signed off on a long-range missile defense system called the “Golden Dome,” officials and the public are still in the dark on how to finish the project — and experts warn its price tag will be far higher than previously disclosed.

After being given a 60-day deadline to come up with a plan for the project, Space Force General Michael Guetlein said the blueprint is complete — but wasn’t able to give any details about the scope, timeline, or cost, Bloomberg reports.

The ludicrous project is imagined as a constellation of hundreds of space-based ballistic missile interceptors at a cost of $175 billion to defend the United States from theoretical nuclear strikes. If all goes well, it’ll be online by 2028 — or at least, that’s what the Trump administration says.

Even its already grossly inflated price tag is probably optimistic thinking. Last week, analysts for the American Enterprise Institute released a study pegging the system somewhere between $252 billion and $3.6 trillion over the next 20 years. The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office, meanwhile, estimates a cost between $542 and $831 billion.

Where exactly the price tag lands depends on Guetlein’s yet-to-be-released blueprints. As AEI senior researcher Todd Harrison put it, “as long as its requirements are undefined, Golden Dome can cost as much or as little as policymakers are willing to spend.”

The ‘gold’ in Golden Dome is referencing the money the defense industry will make….has little to with the nation being safe.

We all should be scared of the direction of this nation….I know I aqm….

I’ve been on the Donald Trump beat full time since he declared for president in 2016. I’ve seen him scared many times — often while I was sitting just a few feet away from the carnage in a front row seat.

This is different. The government has shut down for the third time during a Trump presidency. Though Republicans also control the House and Senate — and GOP appointees hold a majority on the Supreme Court — Trump says the budget impasse is still the fault of the radical left and former President Joe Biden. In other words, Trump is a victim — at least according to Presidential Pep Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

The president wants to use American cities as training grounds for the U.S. military. ICE agents are spreading chaos, beating and detaining American citizens. Trump is talking about nuclear war, calling it the “N” word. He has Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the minister of plagues, spreading disinformation about health care. Christian Nationalists are engaged in an ongoing purge of anyone in government who doesn’t see things their way. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Trump’s dog of war, has instituted some of the most racist regulations seen in the military since it was integrated nearly 80 years ago.

Now for the really good stuff….Donny may have a coin with his demented image coming soon to a bank near you….

The United States Treasury on Friday shared early blueprints of a $1 commemorative coin featuring President Donald Trump’s visage and the words, “Fight, fight, fight.” The coin is being designed by the U.S. Mint in advance of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

It is more about him than our country….but that is always been the case….

A draft design for a $1 coin featuring President Trump’s portrait has been confirmed by the US Treasury, following leaks online ahead of America’s 250th birthday next year. US Treasurer Brandon Beach responded to circulating images on X, writing, “No fake news here,” confirming the drafts are real but noting that further details would come after the government shutdown ends, per CNN. The design’s front shows a Trump profile, the terms “Liberty” and “In God We Trust,” and the years 1776 and 2026. The reverse features an image of Trump with a raised fist—referencing the Butler, Pennsylvania, assassination attempt against him—flanked by the phrase “FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT” and an American flag.

However, the coin’s future is unclear, due to US laws prohibiting the depiction of living presidents or those deceased for less than two years on coins. A law governing coin design more specifically states that “no head and shoulders portrait or bust of any person, living or dead, and no portrait of a living person may be included in the design on the reverse of specified coins.” The draft seems to skirt the rule by putting Trump’s side profile on the front and an action shot on the reverse, but it’s still not certain this would avoid a legal issue.

The rules around coins stretch back to an 1866 law that allowed only deceased individuals to be featured on US currency “to avoid the appearance that America was a monarchy,” per the New York Times. According to an archived Treasury page, that rule was put into place after “an uproar over the actions of the Chief of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Spencer Clark,” who “placed himself on a five cent note and had a large quantity of them printed before it was noticed.”

Typical dictator shit…..I would think Donny would want it in gold plate to fit his inflated ego.

Now for the ‘religious’ portion of my post…..

Donny ‘spiritual’ adviser is a pedophile….

Pastor Robert Morris, who was a member of the Trump-Pence campaign’s spiritual advisory council in 2016, pleaded guilty on Thursday to five felony counts related to sexually assaulting a girl. The sexual abuse began when she was just 12 years old and continued for years. Morris will spend only six months in jail for his crimes, though he must also register as a sex offender and pay $250,000 in restitution, MSNBC reported.

Morris, the now 64-year-old former pastor of the Texas megachurch Gateway Church, pleaded guilty to lewd or indecent acts with a child. He first molested Cindy Clemishire while staying with her family on Christmas night 1982, when he was 20 years old. He told her to come into his room and lie on her back, then touched her breasts and under her panties.

It was the first of his many sexual assaults against her, but he warned Clemishire, “Never tell anyone about this because it will ruin everything.” He reportedly kept molesting her for five years and told his wife that he was “counseling” the child. Clemishire eventually told a close family friend, and the news reportedly caused the family’s circle of close friends to fall apart. Clemishire is now 55 years old.

Morris eventually founded Gateway Church in 2000 — the megachurch now has an estimated weekly attendance of 100,000. When Clemishire sought a settlement for the molestation in 2005, seeking $50,000 for the money she spent processing her childhood trauma in therapy, Morris’s attorney said the molestation was her fault because she was “flirtatious.”

Typical dirtbag….it was the child’s fault for being flirtatious….seriously she was 12 years old.

I am sure this piece of shit will continue as a ‘man of god’…..he is a PEDOPHILE and no amount of amount of words will change that.

That last story makes me feel dirty for reading it and I need a shower.

That Was The Week That Was in Donny-Land.

Have a good day and as always ….Be Well and Be Safe….

  1. A couple days ago as I was pondering the shut down a thought flashed and I followed up with some AI research. Fearing Trump, I approached AI..

“Let’s presume for a moment that this shutdown continues. Can this President invoke/stretch some obscure legal precident that would allow him to exercise his control to “taking over” the shutdown under some pretext of a national emergency threat and ignore Congress to resume spending?”

This is what I’ve put together.

    1. The Shutdown as Catalyst
    – Government shutdowns are traditionally disruptive but limited events, resolved through political negotiation.
    – In this scenario, the shutdown becomes a trigger because the President chooses not to accept the limits imposed by the Antideficiency Act (which prohibits spending without Congressional approval).
    – Instead of waiting for compromise, he treats the shutdown as an opportunity to assert unilateral control.

    2. Audacity as Power
    – The President’s strength lies in his willingness to act first and force others to react.
    – By ordering spending or reallocating military funds without Congressional approval, he pushes into legal gray zones where enforcement is slow and contested.
    – Courts can rule against him, but their rulings require executive compliance. Congress can impeach, but only with bipartisan support. Civil servants may resist, but many comply under pressure.
    – This creates a practical reality: ‘illegal’ actions continue until enough institutional actors choose to stop them.

    3. The Enforcement Gap
    – The U.S. system depends heavily on voluntary compliance with norms.
    – There is no automatic enforcement mechanism when a President defies Congress or courts.
    – This gap allows bold executives to exploit the lag between action and institutional pushback.
    – The longer the system takes to respond, the more the action reshapes the political and economic landscape.

    4. Escalation to National Security
    – The most dangerous turn comes if the President drags the military or national security funding into the fight.
    – This risks politicizing the armed forces and creating fractures in chain of command.
    – A split between loyalists and constitutionalists inside defense institutions could trigger an unprecedented legitimacy crisis.

    5. Public Perception and Survival Psychology
    – Public confidence erodes quickly once government appears lawless.
    – Markets, corporations, and households react not only to actual shortages but also to fear of future breakdowns.
    – This accelerates panic buying, hoarding, and survival behaviors, which in turn deepen economic instability.
    – In this way, perception of illegality itself becomes a driver of crisis.

    Conclusion
The essence of this pathway is simple: a President willing to push into an unenforceable ‘no man’s land’ of executive action can create a crisis not because the law allows it, but because the law cannot stop it quickly enough. Audacity fills the gap between illegality and enforcement, reshaping reality before institutions can respond. That dynamic is what sets the stage for the cascading timeline of economic and social breakdown.

This all stalls if the Dems end the shutdown…. but undoubtedly kicks this down the road for the next time.

    1. A dire picture you paint….not saying it is wrong but rather that we are in for a rough ride. Have a good Sunday. chuq

  2. Now, let’s carry this a tad forward and see how the public might respond to a Trump Takeover.

    Day 1–3: Shockwave
    – Markets spook immediately. Treasury yields climb, stocks wobble.
    – Dollar dips slightly as global traders hedge.
    – Corporate leaders freeze major investments until clarity emerges.
    – No immediate distribution issues, but headlines drive public anxiety.

    Week 1: Early Panic
    – Federal workers miss paychecks; consumer demand dips locally.
    – Media coverage of ‘illegal’ executive actions triggers uncertainty.
    – Panic buying begins: food staples, bottled water, gasoline, and ammunition.
    – Wall Street volatility spikes; government contractors begin layoffs.

    Weeks 2–4: Visible Strain
    – Credit markets tighten, borrowing costs rise across the economy.
    – USDA and FDA inspectors stretched thin; cargo backlogs grow at ports.
    – Trucking and rail carriers cut long-haul commitments; retailers face slower restocks.
    – Shortages begin: fresh produce, baby formula, some pharmaceuticals.
    – Social media amplifies panic; empty shelf photos go viral.
    – Public shifts from anxiety to survival mode—stockpiling and rationing.

    Months 2–3: Active Survival Mode
    – Global investors begin pulling out of U.S. debt; dollar weakens sharply.
    – Supply chains feel deeper stress: food, medical, and energy shortages intensify.
    – Families adapt survival behaviors: hoarding cash, bartering, forming community support networks.
    – Pharmacies ration medications; hospitals face delays in supplies.
    – Gasoline shortages create long lines; travel chaos grows as FAA/TSA staff rebel.
    – Protests escalate; moderate voters now join unrest.

    Months 4–6: Breakdown Stage
    – Financial markets destabilize further; potential recession triggered.
    – Parallel legitimacy claims (Congress vs. President) deepen crisis.
    – Ports operate at reduced capacity; trucking/rail unreliable; retail gaps widespread.
    – Communities adapt to dysfunction: cash-only trade, bartering, underground markets.
    – Public no longer trusts government to fix the system—survival mode becomes daily life.

    Conclusion
The timeline demonstrates how a bold executive move to override Congress during a shutdown could set off a cascading failure: from financial market jitters (days), to corporate and supply chain hesitation (weeks), to public survival behaviors (within a month), and ultimately systemic breakdown (within six months). The most dangerous accelerant is not just economics, but the collapse of legitimacy—the moment people and institutions stop believing the rules will hold.

    1. This. Is. Scary. BUT … very close to potentiality.

My other-half has long been an advocate of preparing for the worst, so for the most part, we are “stocked” with the supplies you mention in Week 1. He has also prepared for the “cash only” scenario. We have a generator that operates on gasoline, propane, and natural gas. And he has stocked up on his personal medication (he’s asthmatic). Of course such preparations can only last so long.

I truly hate/dread to think that this country could come to this, but under the current administration, I fear it’s all to possible.

    2. Financial outlook is bleak at best….it has been slow to develop but I believe the worse is yet to come….we are approaching that moment daily….only a matter of time. chuq

  3. It’s hard to watch the abuse of power and the “war” that our President has declared on the cities that didn’t vote for him…attacking our own citizens while building himself a ballroom to celebrate his inhumanity

      1. I appreciate how you are sharing important information about what is happening and who is responsible…he is a madman and we see it every single day…he is trying to tear the country apart and the worst part of it is that he is doing it just to support his massive ego

      2. You are welcome John…..there are some things I just cannot overlook and then I must say something…..chuq

  4. It gets worse over there every week. I presume Musk and SpaceX have the contract to launch the Golden Dome rocket bases? He will change the law so the coin of him can be minted, I am sure of that. If not, then he will sell the coin to his cult followers for more than the face value. At least he didn’t invade any countries last week, except his own one.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Pete he is getting close to an invasion…..that pep rally with generals says to me that he is making sure they are all on the same page. The coin idea is stupid and ego-centric. chuq

  5. The Golden Dome is Populist nonsense. Back in the day Reagan had his pet project the “Star Wars”, wich was quitly dumped after the fall of Soviet Union, despite the fact that the Russians had not dismantled their ICBMs. Nor of course the Chinese. It was because of the simple matter, that any costly system of countermeasures, laser cannons and whatnot space junk (that is already becoming an issue for launching anything into orbit) could be saturated very cost effectively by multiple MIRVs.

As a thought experiment achieving a level of immunity from retaliation and mutual destrucktion would lead to lowered treshold of using nukes. If the US could build a functioning shield, so could China, Russia, France or even India. But what about Pakistan, the UK and Israel? How much would the Golden Dome actually protect? Would it shield Hawaii? Or Alaska? How about all the US military overseas?

Israel has not been able to stop all cheap missiles made in Gaza basements with the Iron Dome. Now multiply the cost of it by how much more landmass the USA has to defend and you get the idea of the minimum pricetag for this literally Golden Dome. Trump could not get the building of his border fence funded, and that is nowhere nere to the undertaking of this sort of project. Not to mention there is no existing technology for it.

It is just a typical Conservative Populist propaganda of how these morons wreaking up the economy need to be kept in power, because they promise to “protect” you, while counting on their voters and supporters to be ignorant, easily scared, gullible and even down right stupid enough to believe these irresponsible lies.

Both the US and Russia have enough nukes to destroy the world even if they did not launch them at all but decided simply to detonate them in their silos. A nuclear winter achieved by just one side deciding to end it all, would destroy civilization and possibly all life.

    1. Exactly….this is a waste on money and resources….it is just chest thumping…..thanx for the comment have a good Sunday. chuq
