Taking It To The Streets

This ought to give those rabid clueless MAGA supporters something to whine about.

Tomorrow, 18Oct, there will be protests all over the country opposing just about everything Donny does or says.

On Oct. 18, over 2,000 peaceful protests are expected to take place across the country as part of the second No Kings protest, a movement aimed at denouncing President Donald Trump and his administration’s controversial policies on immigration, policing, healthcare, and more.

According to the No Kings website, demonstrations are planned in all 50 states, with major events happening in cities like New Orleans, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, and Washington, D.C., right in front of the Capitol, the Hill reported.

“The president thinks his rule is absolute. But in America, we don’t have kings and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty,” the website notes.

Since its debut, No Kings Day has become more than just a slogan. The first nationwide event took place June 14, in direct protest of the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary military parade in Washington, D.C., an event that coincided with Trump’s 79th birthday. That day, organized in partnership with groups like Black Voters Matter, the ACLU, and Federal Workers Against DOGE, protests swept every state and even reached international cities, effectively overshadowing the president’s parade and uniting people across the country. Trump’s attempt to turn June 14 into a celebratory coronation failed, and instead, it sparked a growing movement against what many see as his authoritarian overreach.

Saturday’s protest will continue hammering down on that message.

Federal workers are also being urged to participate in the upcoming No Kings Day protests. In a press release issued on Oct. 6, the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) called on its members to stand alongside the public and fight for their rights, especially amid the ongoing government shutdown. According to the BBC, nearly 4,000 federal workers have already been laid off since the shutdown began Oct. 1.

“Shutting down the government is another authoritarian power grab by this administration, which has threatened to lay off mass numbers of furloughed federal workers as part of an ongoing quest to gut federal programs and services the administration finds objectionable,” the AFGE wrote.

The upcoming Oct. 18 gathering will send a clear message to Donald Trump and his administration: our rights and freedoms will not be impacted by politics.

The president thinks his rule is absolute. But in America, we don’t have kings and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty.

Our peaceful movement is only getting bigger and bigger. “NO KINGS” is more than just a slogan; it is the foundation our nation was built upon. Born in the streets, shouted by millions, carried on posters and chants, it echoes from city blocks to rural town squares, uniting people across this country to fight dictatorship together.

Because this country does not belong to kings, dictators, or tyrants. It belongs to We the People – the people who care, who show up, and the ones who fight for dignity, a life we can afford, and real opportunity. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.

The prediction is that this protest may be the largest in US history….

Amid President Donald Trump’s unprecedented and accelerating attacks on US democracy, millions of Americans in every state and beyond are preparing to take to the streets Saturday for a second wave of No Kings rallies.

In what organizers and participants say might be the “largest protest in US history” in a single day, No Kings demonstrations are set to take place in more than 2,500 communities across the nation, from its biggest cities to small towns like Burns, Oregon—population 2,700—and Bryson City, North Carolina, with 1,500 residents.

The first round of No Kings rallies, held on June 14, drew an estimated 4-6 million participants to over 2,100 demonstrations. Organizers say that the October 18 protest could be even bigger, as Americans are more alarmed than ever by the assault on democracy by Trump and Republicans.

“What we’re seeing is truly unprecedented,” Lisa Gilbert, co-president of the consumer advocacy group Public Citizen, told Common Dreams. “What we’re seeing from this administration is authoritarian slip. We are seeing them attack judges, attack nonprofits, trying to attack the media, stifle First Amendment protected speech, and arrest sitting members of Congress for doing their oversight of [Immigration and Customs Enforcement].”

“The list, unfortunately, is very long and what we want is what we’ve seen in other countries that have successfully resisted authoritarianism—to hold on to our democracy and to create and protect the checks that we have against that kind of executive overreach,” she added. “It’s a lofty goal, but it starts with us exercising our right to peacefully protest.”

Gone And Soon Forgotten

Appears that Hogsbreath’s days are numbered as Donny’s Lord of War…..that’s right he will soon be departing for whatever reason.

First we said bye bye to Elmo and now another exit will happen….

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is reportedly going to be the first casualty of the second Donald Trump administration, according to The Daily Beast’s Washington bureau chief David Gardner.

While Hegseth still enjoys a steady paycheck from the government, the Pentagon chief’s days at the agency are reportedly numbered. The dire forecast for Hegseth’s time in Trump’s administration comes after various leaks and, more recently, the shake-up regarding reporters at the Pentagon.

“We were told early on that Trump did not want a repeat of his first administration, where it was kind of chaos,” Gardner to Joanne Coles. “He was firing people, hiring people, it was a lot of unrest within the administration.”

“We were told he was going to give his Cabinet—most of his leading Cabinet members—a year, so there wasn’t this kind of constant departure thing,” he added. “So my guess is, watch out for January and Pete Hegseth, because I don’t think he’s going to last much longer than that first year.”

The Irish Star contacted both the Pentagon and the White House for comment. Daily Beast political reporter Sarah Ewall-Wice said that the one-year strategy might be part of a broader plan.

If this report is true I say bye bye and good riddance.

Then I ask who will be the next incompetent toad to get the call to be Lord of War for our Little Donny?

Maybe the next guy will not be so fixated on the bodies of our soldiers (wink wink)

Any thoughts to share?

Oops We Are Doing It Again

The news is not so good surrounding the events unfolding in Venezuela….Donny has ordered the nuking of another boat….you know those small boats that are loaded to the stacks with drugs?

Our Lord High magistrate has also ordered the CIA into action in Venezuela…..(that sound all too familiar)….

The Trump administration has authorized the CIA to take covert action inside Venezuela, including lethal operations, The New York Times reported on Wednesday, as the administration’s push toward regime change heats up.

President Trump later confirmed that he authorized the covert action and said the US was considering attacks on Venezuelan territory. “We are certainly looking at land now, because we’ve got the sea very well under control,” he said.

US officials told the Times that the authority allows the CIA to take action against Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro or his government, either unilaterally or in conjunction with the US military. The report said it is not known whether the CIA is currently planning operations inside Venezuela or if the authority will be used for future plans.

The US military has been drawing up plans to launch strikes on Venezuelan territory and potentially capture strategic ports and airfields, actions that would almost certainly lead to a full-blown war. The US military campaign in the region has so far involved a buildup of warships and about 10,000 US troops in the Caribbean and strikes on five boats that the US has claimed, without providing evidence, were running drugs.

While combating drug trafficking is the pretext for the US military operations, US officials have made clear that the real goal is regime change. Officials are hoping that Maduro steps down voluntarily or that someone in his inner circle turns on him due to the $50 million US bounty on his head, and the deluge of leaks and reports about potential US military action is likely part of the pressure.

This did not work so well in Southeast Asia….but what the Hell let’s give it a go again.

As an added incentive to instill fear in Venezuela…..the butt in control has ordered B-52 flights…..

In less than a week, President Donald Trump has threatened to attack Venezuela using ground troops, confirmed ongoing covert operations inside the country, and ordered bombers capable of dropping nuclear weapons to fly in circles off its coast in what appears to be an unprecedented show of force intended to pressure the Venezuelan president to step down.

On Thursday, the U.S. launched what appears to be the sixth lethal boat strike against an alleged drug boat in the Caribbean Sea this year. A U.S. official, who confirmed the account first reported by Reuters, said there were survivors among the crew.

The White House has defended the extraordinary military operations as necessary to stem the tide of illicit drugs coming to the U.S.

“President Trump believes that Nicholas Maduro is an illegitimate president, leading an illegitimate regime that has been trapped in drugs,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Thursday.

Ah bullies and their toys.

After Donny’s and Hogsbreath’s little strut upon the stage in front of our generals one has shown so spine and packed it in….

The head of the US Southern Command, whose job includes overseeing military operations in the area where the Pentagon has been carrying out fatal strikes on what the Trump administration describes as drug-running boats, announced Thursday that he’s leaving the position. Adm. Alvin Holsey has been in the job, which usually is a three-year assignment, less than a year. Neither he nor Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth mentioned any disagreements, but the New York Times reports that Holsey had raised concerns about the attacks near Venezuela and the US military buildup in the region.

In a statement on social media, Hegseth thanked Holsey “for his more than 37 years of distinguished service to our nation as he plans to retire.” The admiral posted on the command’s Facebook page it’s “been an honor to serve our nation, the American people and support and defend our Constitution for over 37 years,” per the AP. His retirement takes effect on Dec. 12, per the Hill. Southcom oversees all US military operations in Central America and South America. A Pentagon official said Thursday that about a force of about 10,000 is supporting the counternarcotics operations in the Caribbean.

Legal experts and members of Congress have questioned the administration’s authority to use lethal force against suspected drug traffickers without congressional authorization. The four-star admiral’s departure is another in a series of high-profile firings or resignations of senior military leaders, many of them women or people of color, during Hegseth’s tenure. Congressional Democrats were critical after the latest announcement. “Prior to Trump, I can’t think of a combatant commander who left his or her post early, ever,” said Rep. Adam Smith, the top Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee.

Bully for him for showing some guts and cajones.

This whole Venezuela debacle is going to come back and bite us in the ass.

And all the we as citizens can do is sit and watch this preening peacock of a leader strut around and thump his chest like some oversexed primate.

Is this our fate for now?
