Hate Groups Decline

One problem with our society was the growth of hate groups like KKK, neo-Nazis, Proud Boys, etc during Donny’s first term and his mash-up to his second term….but since his re-election there seems to be a decline in the hate groups…..that could be good news but I do not believe that it is all that good.

Why?

The number of white nationalist, hate, and anti-government groups around the US dropped slightly in 2024—not due to shrinking influence, but rather the opposite. In its annual “Year in Hate and Extremism” report, released Thursday, the Southern Poverty Law Center said it counted 1,371 hate and extremist groups, a 5% decline from the previous year, per the AP. In 2023, “record numbers” of white nationalist and anti-LGBTQ groups were found.

  • Hate groups: Last year, there were 533 active hate groups in the US. These include groups who express views that are anti-LBGTQ+, anti-immigrant, antisemitic, and anti-Muslim. This number has been steadily declining since reaching a historic high of 1,021 in 2018.
  • Anti-government groups: Last year, they totaled 838, an increase from recent years, according to the law center based in Montgomery, Alabama. These groups see the federal government as “tyrannical” and include militias and self-described sovereign citizens.
  • A rising influence: Male supremacy continues to gain influence as well. The SPLC documented seven new male supremacist hate groups, making the total 16. Their rhetoric espouses misogyny and strict gender roles. “I’m not sure it’s a direct result of the candidacy of Kamala Harris,” says Rachel Carroll Rivas, interim director of the SPLC’s Intelligence Project. However, SPLC researchers went into white supremacist chatrooms during the election and found “intense vilification, the claiming of demonization of Harris, as well as just the pushing of the idea falsely that women would not be qualified” to run for president.
  • ‘White Christian’ angle: Some people on the far right have also pushed a belief that white Christian culture is being threatened by a “demographic crisis,” including fewer births.
  • Why the downtick? The SPLC attributes the decline in the number of hate groups to a lesser sense of urgency to organize, as the groups’ beliefs have infiltrated politics, education, and society in general. Some of the ways they’ve achieved this are through pushing for bans on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and book bans, the report says.

No need to join if your biases and hatreds are being addressed by the leader of the not so free world.

  1. When a party makes gender and race ID the axis of its political base and claims victimization , hate group blossom. These political action groups also demonize the groups they wish to cancel. It’s called the “otherization” process. Diversity ? They preach it but don’t celebrate it. Or respect such. Now let’s see. Who is behind gender and race ID politics ? The “Kill the Jews movement” for starters and BLM and Antifa…

    1. Why is gender so hated? Who do they hurt? Blaming Dems for any hatred is silly and the typical move by a hate group. chuq

      1. Hillary was a master of generating hate and gender and race ID. 70 million are decreed as simple minded “deplorables” and prominant dems and media still preach it. Trump hate syndrome is the dramatic proof. As soon as Biden was inaugurated they dismissed dozens and dozens of policies with no consideration of efficacy. If Trump made the policy and MAGAS supported that was reason enough to end policies regardless of all common sense. Hate is the dynamic of all Dem political thinking. They are also the primer haters of America and family values. They were so full of hate they were willing and supportive of having a vegetable for president and nominated giggles no answer the question Kamoooola to keep the folly florishing.

      2. Hillary was a politicians it is what they ALL do. And Donny is retaliating now isn’t he and installing even worse policies….but that somehow is okay as long as he keeps feeding the hatred for immigrants. chuq

  2. I am in favor of all the hate groups we can get …I am also in favor of all the Love groups we can get … because in a country as diversified as our, there has to be room for every shade and tint of opinion.

  3. In my opinion, historical and biological differences justify maintaining traditional gender roles, with men as leaders and protectors and women as nurturers, to ensure societal stability

  4. LOBOTERO There is no hate for immigrants policy. Why does that lie persist ? Hate and deport all criminal, terrorist, and pro Hamas and Chinese college pre invasion spies OK with me 100 %. Hate and deport all wierdos from Mars too.

    1. CARL what would you call deporting people of legal status simply because of their name or nationality? Not everyone being deported is in the categories you cite. You want to deport people start with the present day government….that would go a long way of preserving our way of life. chuq

      1. Deporting non criminal legal immigrants would be a horrible error and just plain sinful. Wouldn’t wanted to have Mother’s people from Sicily and Father’s people from Rome (all legal at Ellis Island) in pre WW I era deported. All first generaion sons served army, navy, marines WW II. .

      2. There is even a Marine that was deported basically because of his ethnicity…..that is disgusting chuq

  5. In the UK and parts of Europe, organised hate groups are in the increase. Most are white nationalist/racist, but many are anti-women, anti-feminist, anti-trans, anti-gay, and driven by incels.
    Best wishes, Pete.
