I recently read a fascinating article about the population changes coming….this story could send shivers up the spines of all those that hate diversity…..plus my favorite subject, a little history, thrown in….
Demographers project that whites will become a minority in the U.S. around 2045, dropping below 50% of the population. Between 2010 and 2018, the number of white children fell by 2.8 million, or 7.1%. In contrast, nonwhite children grew by 6.1%.
In 2018, the last year for which data are currently available, the proportion of people in the U.S. under 18 years of age was just barely more white than nonwhite. However, children under 11 were more nonwhite than white.
In almost one-third of U.S. states, nonwhite children outnumber all white children under 18 in 14 states — including Nevada, Hawaii, Georgia and Maryland — plus the District of Columbia. Is it too much of a conspiracy theory to think it’s among the thousands of government sites Elon Musk and DOGE don’t want you to see?
Not enough white people isn’t a new problem in America. When Europeans supposedly discovered America, there were already more people of color than Europeans. In 1526, a group of enslaved Black people escaped their Spanish captors during the San Miguel de Gualdape Slave Rebellion. They mixed with Native Americans in what is now South Carolina and Georgia. In 1565, Spaniards (not exactly white) brought slaves to Saint Augustine. In 1619, a British ship landed in Jamestown with enslaved people.
Though the indigenous population took a hit from the diseases carried by Europeans, including smallpox, they easily outnumbered white people when America was founded. The Black population drastically increased, not only from the Transatlantic Slave Trade but by a systemic pattern of forced breeding to meet the demand for labor. When the international slave trade was ended in 1808, it was because a sufficient number of Black babies were being born to meet the needs. The means to the end often involved rape and forced pairings. Thomas Jefferson didn’t need to explain that to George Washington when he wrote to tell him that if each enslaved woman had a child every two years, he would see profits increase by 4% annually.
By the time America achieved independence from the British in 1776, several areas including some states like South Carolina had a majority Black population, mainly enslaved people. Before there were police forces, there were slave patrols to capture runaways and protect plantation owners from revolts. There was a fear of rebellion throughout American history, before and after slavery. Jefferson talked about having a “wolf by the ears.” Lincoln wished to deport the freed slaves to Liberia and Central America. Heexperimented with deportation on Cow Island near Haiti, which had disastrous results.

I think diversity is what makes this country great, well great before the magic Sharpie.
Trying to change the outcome of history is a fool’s errand…..but look who we voted into office….one of America’s biggest fools.

That is also the trend in Europe of course, driven by different cultures, religions, and child mortality rates decreasing every year. White people tend to have smaller families as a rule, it’s that simple. In Japan, the massive decline in the birthrate is sending out warning signals for the future, with predictions that there will not be enough people of working age to look after the elderly, in a country where people tend to live longer.

In China there was up until recently the idea that male babies were gold, girl babies were murdered. I do not know how they got to that, since you do need girls to make babies, but…now it turns out that the first mandate about 1 child families was not going well, and all those young boys were suddenly young men, with no girls to date or marry. Women were in the driver’s seat on this one. They finally realized that the limits had to be eliminated, or China was gong to turn into an old man’s nursing home very fast…sigh.
IMO, intermarriage, which seems to have become much more acceptable in recent years, also plays a role.

In certain circles it’s called The Great Replacement, and it’s a conspiracy theory that goes back quite a few years. It’s the belief in certain circles that someone, somewhere, somehow, is trying to make the white “race” extinct. Exactly who is doing this and why is never really fully explained, although often Jewish people (of course) are blamed for it. Or Muslims. Or the Illuminati, or, well, insert whatever bogey man you like in there, really.
The term seems to have originated with a French writer, Renaud Camus, in a book from 2011, where he called it the “grand replacement”. But the idea goes way, way, way back. The basic idea has been promoted by neo-nazi’s here in the US, and before then in the more rabid anti-communist movements in the 1950s, and before that… Well you get the idea.
If you start digging into it you quickly slide down a rabbit hole of racism, misogyny, “deep state” conspiracy theories, religious bias, homophobia and just to keep things interesting, aliens.
Yeah it seems to be about racism and feeding biases….I stand by my assertion that the US is stronger with diversity. chuq
I guess you would have to define ‘white people’. Does that also include people who are of mixed race? Im part Indian, French Canadian, Micmac Indian, German, Irish, Scots, Dutch, and British. My husband is part Indian as well, on both sides. He is also blond. I think population is what it is. Once you start digging into a family’s back story, there’s a lot of surprises.
Population has been racially morphing for as long as there has been a population to morph.
These people do not dig…if you are white with blonde hair then you are the chosen people. I am part Jicarilla Apache and Osage so I do not fall in the ‘white’ category. chuq
