AS the season for voting we are witnessing more and more candidates dropping out of the running…..most recently it was Williamson…that is until today……one of the media’s favorites in the beginning Corey Booker is calling quits….

The Democratic field got smaller again on Monday: Cory Booker is out. The New Jersey senator, who has struggled in the polls and with fundraising, told supporters that he’s suspending his campaign, reports Politico. Booker said his campaign just didn’t have the money to “scale up and continue building a campaign that can win,” per the Washington Post. Booker’s exit means the Democratic field has lost another person of color. Tuesday’s debate in Iowa, for example, will feature six candidates, all of them white.

“I believed to my core that the answer to the common pain Americans are feeling right now, the answer to Donald Trump’s hatred and division, is to reignite our spirit of common purpose to take on our biggest challenges and build a more just and fair country for everyone,” Booker wrote in his email to supporters. “I still believe that,” he added. “I will carry this fight forward—I just won’t be doing it as a candidate for president this year.”

The closer we get to the start of the voting the whiter the candidate field becomes…..

As the tradition of IST we walk Booker to the campaign exit with the music of Queen…..

Still a big field waiting in the shadows….just people of color seem to be running for the hills.
