Sanders Outlines Middle East Policy

It is common knowledge that my international interests fall in the Middle East….after working in the region years ago I became very interested in the events that transpire with different country’s foreign policy concerning the region.

It is an election, the 2016 election, and with all that is happening in the world the Middle East is more important than many want to admit.

This is a speech that Bernie did not give to AIPAC but he wanted to outline his position as a counter to the pandering BS that all the other candidates will do…..I do not much care for his Middle East policies but they appear to be more honest than the ones offered up by Clinton, Trump and Cruz.  Their speeches were total pandering….they spread the crap like a child would spread peanut butter.

I was surprised that Bernie was critical of Israeli policies…..but would he be so if he is elected to the high office of president?

I hoping that it is not pandering but he is a politician and that is what they do to get votes from the bedazzled throngs.

Study: The Trans-Pacific Partnership Will Cost US a Half Million Jobs

One of Obama’s signature policies will be the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).  A piece of CRAP!

There are some that think this deal which was conceived and passed in secret will not be the end all for the economic problems of the US.  To me it smells like just another NAFTA which cost millions of jobs and our manufacturing base, but Clintonites still cling to this failed policy as if it were the second coming.

The TPP has promised to revitalize our economy with jobs and trade…..but is it the benefit that the admin boyz are selling?

One study says that its is NOT the benefit that is being promised.

A group of economists studying the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) have concluded that the sweeping trade agreement will have a net negative impact on the US economy.

Economic researchers with Tufts University’s Global Development and Environment Institute said Monday that widely cited projections claiming the TPP will boost economic activity in the US are “based on unrealistic assumptions.”

Instead, the economists noted, the 12-nation Pacific Rim trade deal will likely lead to the loss of 448,000 jobs from the US workforce, while lowering GDP by more than a half-percentage point over the next decade.

Interaction Between State Dept. And The Clinton Foundation

Say it ain’t so!

I have not trusted the Clintons since 1994 when they shoved NAFTA down the American public’s throat and then there was the imaginative repealing of Glass-Steagall, which help cause the 2008 crash…..

And now this….but I am not surprised…..are you?

Judicial Watch released a trove of documents obtained through a lawsuit.

“Secretary of State Hillary Clinton worked hand in glove with the Clinton Foundation on fundraising and foreign policy,” said Tom Fitton, president of the conservative legal watchdog, in a statement.

“Despite the law and her promises to the contrary, Hillary Clinton turned the State Department into the D.C. office of the Clinton Foundation,” he added of the current Democratic presidential front-runner.

US-NATO intervention was allegedly undertaken on humanitarian grounds, after reports of mass atrocities; but human rights organizations questioned the claims after finding a lack of evidence. So Ended Another “Tuesday”

Another round of delegate selection is done……and we are moving closer to the conventions and the rhetoric has become a blistering pace…..

Let’s start with the Dems for yesterday….who won what and who got what……

Hillary Clinton kept her delegate lead in the Democratic race intact Tuesday night with a big win in Arizona despite losing heavily to Bernie Sanders in two other states. With around 70% of votes in Arizona counted, she has 60% to 37% for Bernie Sanders, reports the Washington Post, which notes that there were long lines, delays, and voting glitches in parts of the state. The state’s 75 delegates are awarded proportionately. Sanders, meanwhile, is the projected winner of the Utah caucuses with a whopping 75% of the vote, which will give him most of the state’s 33 delegates, reports the Hill. He won by an an even bigger margin in the Idaho caucuses, with 78% of the vote giving him 17 delegates, leaving Hillary Clinton with six from the state.

“When we began this campaign, we were considered a fringe candidacy,” Sanders told supporters in California, per Politico. “Well, 10 months later we have now won 10 primaries and caucuses and unless I’m very mistaken, we’re gonna win a couple more tonight.”

Now how did the Repubs do last night?

Donald Trump inched closer to the GOP nomination with a massive victory in Arizona Tuesday night. With more than 80% of results in, he has 47% of the vote to 23% for Ted Cruz and 10% for John Kasich, according to Politico. Marco Rubio was still on the ballot and has 14.6% of the vote, leaving Kasich in fourth place in a three-man race. The state is winner-take-all, and its 58 delegates give Trump a total of 739, with 1,237 needed to win the nomination. But a long battle lies ahead: With most precincts in Utah reporting, Ted Cruz is the projected winner with 70% of the vote, well over the 50% needed to take all 40 delegates, the Washington Post reports. Kasich is second with around 17% and Trump is third with 14%.

This voting thing is getting boring…..no drama other than the stuff generated during the stump speeches….

Europe’s Vulnerable Trains

We know that after the attack today that it is only a matter of time before there is another……airports seem to be a popular target but there are other targets, soft targets, that would be a better prize for the terrorists to approach.

After the attack at the Brussels airport I got to think about other possible attacks sites……I started my research looking for the spot where it is likely that another attack could occur…..and after reading for about an hour I came across a paper written in World Affairs Journal…..no need to continue to research….it is a perfect piece….

Trains are the perfect venue for terrorists as the attack on the Metro in Brussels illustrated…….The BBC reports the bombing at the Maelbeek metro station came one hour after twin airport blasts. The bomb went off in the middle car of a three-car train as it was moving along the station platform.

Last September the Islamic State threatened the West, but the EU still needs to improve security for trains and stations, where security is far more lax and the public more vulnerable.

It has been tried….unsuccessfully I might add…..but that will not deter the terrorists from trying again…..trains in Europe cross many borders and would be the biggest bang for the buck, so to speak…..

This is far from over and the more the governments tighten their grip the more dangerous this will become…….one hand washes the other…..

Death To North Korea?

In the past N. Korea has done a few things that have made the news…..and now with an election they are once again in the talking points…..thanx to some missile tests recently….

The question is asked but seldom answered….what should we, the US, do about North Korea?

Now that the prez has ventured into the heart of the beast, Cuba, the rhetoric there has started to heat up.

Now what should we, the US, do about N. Korea and/or Cuba?
