Where does Bernie Sanders stand on the issues?

Tomorrow voters go to the polls in Michigan and elsewhere….and it appears that Clinton is extending her lead…….and that will be a real shame…..she is NOT what this country needs at this time….if ever…..

Time for me to get involved…….Bernie is the best man for the job at hand…..and most people know very little about him…..why?  The media is trying to keep Clinton in the drivers seat…..so let me help you out.

If you are truly looking for a candidate that has an answer to this country;s problems then maybe you should spend a little time and get to know Bernie and his issues……

Get out and VOTE!  Do not let this election go the way of the do-do.  This country needs some level head thought and Bernie, in my opinion, is that person…..but do not take my word for it…..

Educate yourself…..for the sake of the nation…..educate yourself!

  1. I couldn’t agree more with this piece. Bernie Sanders is the right candidate if only the mainstream media would actually report on the news instead of turning their programs into sensationalized entertainment, but I doubt that we will ever go back to real reporting. Great post.

    1. Thanx….the MSM is worthless as a source for information……their reporting is truly Clinton-centric….I appreciate the kind words….chuq

  2. Without commenting on the futility of the entire process, allow me to first say, hooray for the last lines! That’s the key, right there…but, few will do so…

I’ll also observe this: wherever Bernie stands on the issues, I can only hope it’s far from where I hang out, so I am not subjected to having to listen to any more lies from another politician, or wannabe presidential candidate.

I can’t, at the moment, find the author, but, someone once noted, “Jesus only told half the story. The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.” I’ll refer you to the article you posted earlier, from Salon, regarding Jefferson’s legacy, and how it has been ignored.

    Good post for the educationally-minded….

    See ya

    1. Thanx…the problem is the media is sure to make Sanders look pathetic….and they are doing a marvelous job….chuq

  3. Even with every single trace of candidate bias put aside, policy issues are absolutely the VERY LAST thing the media wants to talk about. They will only mention policy issues within the context of the horse-race coverage. “Experts say Candidate X is surging based upon his policy to…” or “Candidate Y choked on his own policy during the last debate and his support is collapsing”.

    Why?

    1) A proper policy discussion requires effort. It requires the media doing their motherfucking jobs, which is something these assholes collectively avoid at all costs. They’d much rather send a camera crew to chase a van around the parking lot of a fast food joint because there was a rumour a candidate was inside it….and then they’ll spend an hour or two talking about this “newsworthy” incident.

    2) Ratings. People just do NOT want to be forced to “make thinkie in muh hed stuffins .” They would MUCH rather watch pundits analyse the toppings Hillary put on her burrito than what she’s going to do as President. They’d much rather watch anchors read Tweets from Boogereater397 than the details of what a candidate proposes to do about anything while in office.

With this in mind, Trump is the ultimate Media Friendly candidate. Just point a camera at him and every day he will say something that people, love it or hate it, will tune in to watch. And he keeps it so simple, even a chimp with a brain injury can master it. Jesus Christ, half of last week’s coverage was spent talking about the size of Trump’s dick!

While I’m sure there’s “pressure from above” to limit time on Bernie’s policies, the media already doesn’t want to talk about a serious guy’s serious policies to address America’s most serious problems because it’s “Too negative & too boring”. They don’t want to do it and viewers don’t want to watch it.

    1. Good points and you are right…..the media has their faves Clinton and Trump and all coverage will be around those two all others are just something they feel they have to mention to keep up the appearance of news….personally policies are the only thing I look at before voting…I do not acre if they are married or what damn church they attend and damn sure do not care about their children…slogans turn me off…so I am always turned off because that is what is reported…the slogans.

      1. Me too. I admit, I absolutely LOVE the cantankerous, old, curmudgeon vibe he gives off. But the media does not want to go beyond that imagery because they know the drooling public would quickly find it “too boring”. In a way, they’re almost doing Bernie a favour by limiting him to snipits and letting Hillary prattle on.

But I personally wouldn’t care if “boring” Bernie had an unstoppable stutter and had 3 way sex with 2 goats every night (as long as the goats consented.) He’s got the best policies and that’s who I’d vote for. It’s all I care about. Shit, I wouldn’t even care if he just got a cancer diagnosis that gives him 3 years to live. (That’s all Presidents are relevant for anyway. See: Obama)

Unfortunately, the general public has the complete opposite opinion. And just like Trump, the media caters to their audience.

      2. Yes, it is so sad that the public cannot go beyond the regurgitation of the media to find an adequate candidate…..

    1. That is wrong….if you think so then Trump is a half step away from a Fascist….I expect for more politicos to start using that argument more and more….

      1. When the people’s benefit is put first and foremost then one is called a socialist……personally I do not care…the American people deserve so much more than they are getting now….

      2. Hell, even the lazy, stupid, violent, brain dead, American public deserves better than what they have now!

Bernie is a step away from being European. Trump is just a goose step away from being Mussolini 2: Electric Boogaloo. And both would be very happy with that description…at least in private.
