Before the primates come out with their chest thumping let me say here…..I am pleased that our sailors were returned in about 24 hours……and if you think that my questions are somehow those of an “apologist”….please hold that thought (it may be difficult but I have faith you can do it) I am apologizing for nothing……as an analysis I am always looking for what Paul Harvey called “the rest of the story”……you look at the evidence that you have and look for small things that could shed some light on the task at hand…….and as I have already said….”I have questions”…….
The stories that came out after the incident were the boat had engine malfunction….both of them? Then it was a possibility of running out of gas….again….both? Finally they telling us it was a navigational problem…..one more time….both?
If it was only one that had a problem then why did not the 2nd boat come to their aid? What prevented the other boat from offering assistance?
Finally, the video and pics of the crew…….what caught my eye was the female sailor…..why was she semi-segregated from the others? She appeared as if she was not part of the crew….or there was a problem with her crew members…..or she could be just terrified at the situation…..but she looks like she is not part of the crew…..in my opinion……
I read an op-ed….keep in mind it is NOT mine…..but it is asking some of the same questions as I am……

So far all the ramblings have been of an emotional nature……BS along ideological lines…..few will step back and take a look at the big picture…..instead they want to babble on about things that cannot or will not try to understand…..
Sports fans….there is more to this situation than we are told….granted we may never know the real story….but that should not preclude asking questions…..unless of course there is a paradigm that you must part on to the rest of us……

Whole thing was a set up by the Americans, hoping that Iranians would be stupid enough to riot on the streets and not release the sailors. Americans are determined to have the Nuclear agreement put on hold.

The whole affair was a staged provocation. The Iranians could have just thrown the sailors a rope and towed them to other waters without all the dramatics for the cameras. An obvious and overt provocation from the greatest purveyors of The Religion of Peace on the planet.

The first boat experienced mechanical difficulties thus putting craft and crew at the mercy and will of wind and waves. They were literally out of control which is what I think they mean’t by “Navigational” problems.
The first boat obviously couldn’t help drifting into enemy waters.
I am assuming the second boat had to stand back because if they had entered enemy waters they would have done so willingly and that could very well be considered by the enemy as an act of war.
I think the second boat had no other choice but to stand by and in such a situation they could not have crossed the line to assist the craft in distress without a direct permission from their commander — another act that could have created a firey international incident and could have been considered by the enemy to be an act of war.
When I was in uniform we knew very well that you do not … repeat: do not open your bomb bay doors over a target or a potential target or a possible target unless you damned well intend to deliver the payload. Opening the bomb bay doors is an act of war. Everybody knows that and accepts that.
The enemy wanted to use the situation to parade themselves before the adoring public and show how they “Humiliated” the Great Satan. It was a provocation pure, plain and simple.
It accomplished absolutely nothing for their propaganda machine however because the fact remains that if The United States wanted to it could reduce the entire enemy fleet to a burned out cinder — in seconds if need be.
What happened to “leave no man behind”….so sez the news with their heads up their “dark spots”…..not everything is a provocation regardless of what your news sez….

Religion had nothing to do with just like most occurrences….I disagree with the use of vids and pics…but ask yourself what would the US had done if a foreign armed boat entered our waters?

Religion is and always has been the basis for all warlike encounters regardless of the nation, the race or the historical period. Take religion out of the picture and wars end.
