A Return Of The Huck And Chuck Show ?

My brain is barely calm after the many candidates announcements yesterday…….then BAM!  The Huck-A-Buck had to throw his hat in the ring……

It is official we now have one more GOP candidate running for the GOP nomination….the Right Reverend Mike Huckabee.

Mike Huckabee is throwing his hat in the ring—again. The former governor of Arkansas today announced “I am a candidate for president of the United States of America” at the University of Arkansas Community College, in his hometown of Hope—which also happens to be the birthplace of Bill Clinton, USA Today reports. “Every day in my life in politics was a fight,” Huckabee says in a video set to introduce him. “But any drunken redneck can walk into a bar and start a fight. A leader only starts a fight that he’s prepared to finish.” The video also notes Huckabee’s ability to rise above “Bill Clinton’s Arkansas,” includes visuals of both Bill and Hillary Clinton, and describes his plan for a “maximum wage” for workers, per the AP. How his entrance is being framed:

  • RealClearPolitics has Huckabee currently sitting sixth out of 14 current and potential GOP presidential candidates.
  • Writing for the Washington Post, Karen Tumulty notes a few things in Huckabee’s favor (he’s a “gifted communicator” with solid name recognition), but sees the path as challenging. Though he won the 2008 Iowa caucuses, his funds soon petered out, and this time he’ll face “credible” opponents, some of whom “are challenging him for the financial and political support of conservative Christians.”
  • At the New York Times, Trip Gabriel frames 2008 as the easier race. “The biggest question in voters’ minds about Mr. Huckabee … may be why he has returned to the fray. Although American politics is full of stories of the ultimate triumph of also-rans, from Richard M. Nixon to Ronald Reagan, Mr. Huckabee would seem to face greater obstacles than during his first presidential campaign, when he battled only a couple of rivals for the party’s conservative base.”
  • How an NPR headline puts it: “Can Huckabee Overcome The ‘New Car Smell’ Of Other Candidates?”

We will get all the love and concern of a Bible thumper…….Huckabee’s folksy charm may not sway many gay rights supporters, as the former Arkansas governor has called for themandatory quarantining of people with HIV/AIDS, defended ex-gay therapy and pledged to restore Don’t Ask Don’t Tell if elected president. Such remarks aren’t surprising, as Huckabee has also compared gays to Nazi propagandists, alcoholics and people who have sex with sheep. Most recently, he linked the purported danger of gay rights in the U.S. to the threat posed by the terrorist group ISIS. He has warned that same-sex marriage is a “perversion” that will lead to divine punishment and the end of America.

But I hope he brings his shadow from the 2008 campaigns….Chuck Norris…..so I can once again use……”The Huck And Chuck Show”………

Do you realize that there is a chance of 18 or more GOP candidates in this election……gonna be a crazy election……cannot wait.

I normally stay out of the abortion debate……for one I think it is a diversion and second that decision is none of anyone’s business but the person having to make it.  It is a silly argument where some little minded d/bags force their antiquated ideas on the rest of society.

I could not resist when I read this article the other day……the more they talk the more Texas politicians look batcrap crazy!

The Day Before Today

In case you are confused that would be yesterday.  The media did what it always does….it chooses what will be news……no secret that I think very little of the MSM to me they are just a group of worthless propagandists.

Fir instance yesterday…..they reported on a shooting in Texas and the name of a new baby in the Royal family (I will not mention that fake report by FOX News that the rest of the MSM jumped on as fact)…….but let’s talk about these two news reports……..

First, the shooting at an anti-Muslim cartoon fest in Garland, Texas.  Nobody should have been surprised!  The group sponsoring the festival is a “hate for profit” group that pulls down about $3 million a year.  For years they have been spouting hate and the dangers of Islam…….they got the reaction they had hoped for….it provoked someone to talk action and thus their many years of prophecy arrives and they are now validated and the profits will rise.  Yep, this was news….but for the wrong reason……the MSM gets several days of milking this story for everything and the bitch in charge of the group gets a couple of days of massive bookings to help spread her message nationwide…….for the 2 groups it is a win-win scenario you are always hearing about…….

Second, the name of the Royal baby….why?  Most most intelligent people could care less….it is NOT news for anyone but the Queen.  About 200 years ago we fought a revolution so we do not have to care what happens to the royals.  No where in journalism, true journalism, should this have been a lead story…….it the grand scheme of things it is NOTHING!

The reason that I bring this up is that while the American MSM was focused on “reality” TV real situations were occurring……

First, the Saudis war with Yemen……..it has taken a turn that the US could well be drawn into and NOT in a good way….

Weeks of Saudi airstrikes against Yemeni cities have extended into the first deployment of ground troops over the weekend, with witnesses confirming Saudi special forces on the ground in Aden, backed by helicopter gunships.

Not making much progress that way, the Saudis seem to be bringing in the first of their ground troops. With massive numbers of troops massed around the northern border, this may just be the first of a full-scale war.

Since the US is a major ally to the Saudis….who will get called when things go South?

The second major story…..and one that you will most likely NEVER hear on any of the MSM outlets………

Israel has repeatedly denied reports of deliberate targeting of civilians during its wars in the Gaza Strip,  those claims were once again proven false today with the release of a new report by Israeli veterans NGO Breaking the Silence.

The report features testimony from more than 60 Israeli soldiers who confirmed that not only did they deliberately target civilians during the most recent invasion, but that they were explicitly ordered to do so.

“Whoever you see there, you kill,” is how one soldier summed up the orders. He said soldiers were told the civilians “knew they’re not supposed to be there” and therefore they were to kill anyone who wasn’t an Israeli soldier on sight.

Western media will do all they can to make sure that this story never sees the light of day for they are always covering up any story that paints Israel in a negative light.

The Media makes me sick!  We NO longer have what they all say they are about….”fair and balanced” reporting….that is only a slogan that does not represent the truth in any form!

With Congress It Never Ends!

I always find it amazing when this Congress decides to do something they consider constructive……most times it is not constructive at all.  When they take on ways to cut spending it is always someone who is their bread and butter voter and they almost always get away with it.

Take for instance our military…..back when I was a soldier the re-enlistment talk was about how if you lasted until retirement that you would have all the benefits that you had in the military…..total medical, dental and a good pension and the big one, an education, for when you retired at an early age…..I never fell for the BS and now the Congress wants to stick it to the military once again……..

McClatchy is reporting……..

Congress is considering changing, for the first time in decades, the way service members get retirement pay.

Military retirement now carries an all-or-nothing pension plan that requires a minimum of 20 years of service. The new plan would cut those pensions to 40 percent of pay from 50 percent, and create a matched 401(k)-style plan open to all service members.

The new retirement rules would affect all troops enlisting after the new plan is put in place in October 2017, Military Times reported. Troops already in the ranks could opt into the new plan or stick with the current “cliff vesting” system, it said.

It is bad enough that Congress spends its time figuring ways to screw the veterans but now they are messing with the active military…..their educational benefits have fallen way short of the promises and now Congress, who does very little work and has their pay exempt is going to f*ck the soldiers and the families…….

This month we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Untied Nations…….I know most Americans hate the UN because they are somehow the “New World Order” that has been predicted to scare the crap out of morons……

Actually they have had some successes and some failures like any other organization…….personally, I think it is a good idea the problem is they need to make some changes for the better……the first one would be eliminate the domination of the Security Council by 3 or 4 countries that have the power to say NO to any idea that is not political expedient……
