The alarm finally went off and it is time for Hillary to come alive………she has done what all of America has been waiting for her to do……announce!

First of all…..was there ever any doubt?

Hillary Clinton is now, officially, at long last, Ready for Hillary. She jumped back into presidential politics today as a top adviser announced her much-awaited second campaign for the White House. The adviser, John Podesta, told alumni of her first presidential campaign in an email: “It’s official: Hillary’s running for president.” Clinton followed with a video released on YouTube that depicts people going through life challenges like moving, job-hunting, and starting a family, the New York Times reports. “I’m getting ready to do something too,” Clinton says, appearing a minute-and-a-half in. “I’m running for president. … Everyday Americans need a champion. And I want to be that champion.”

Clinton is expected to face pressure from progressives to adopt a more populist economic message focused on income inequality. The GOP, meanwhile, has already started attacking her, jumping on Clinton’s use of a personal email account and server while secretary of state. Clinton is the first Democrat to get into the race and is not expected to be seriously challenged, the Times notes, but there are some lower-profile Democrats who may toss a hat in the ring, including former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb, and former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee. If elected, Clinton would become the first woman to serve in the Oval Office.

It is official and all the mind numbing speculation can cease and all the twaddle can begin!

And the twaddle began with others sounding off about her candidacy………

• Rand Paul: “I think Benghazi was a 3am phone call that she never picked up. She didn’t provide the security—not just that day, for nine months. Dozens and dozens of requests for more security, all completely ignored by Hillary Clinton. … I do think that there is sort of a history of the Clintons sort of feeling like they’re above the law. “

• Would-be rival Lincoln Chafee: “What kind of accomplishments did you have? There were precious few (as secretary of state).” Further, Clinton blew it by voting to go to war in Iraq. “There was an age of lasting peace ahead of us if we made good decisions, particularly after Sept. 11. She didn’t do her homework, and we live with the ramifications today. If you show lack of judgment, lack of doing your homework then, what can we expect in the future? It’s a big motivator for why I’m running.”
• John Kerry: “Secretary of State Clinton did a terrific job of rebuilding alliances that had been shredded over the course of the prior years,” including “the beginning of the effort with Iran. I wish her well in this race and I look forward to being able to stay well away from it.”
• Mitt Romney: “You’ve seen in polls and discussions across the country the feeling that Hillary Clinton just isn’t trustworthy. That’s made people remember that with the Clintons it’s always something. She’s a creature of Washington. She’s been there a long time … I think people want to see change. They want to see something new, and Hillary Clinton just is not that person.”
