Too Stupid To Scare

Gyro-Copter……..Gyro-Copter……….Gyro-Copter………..if we say it often maybe it will go away!  The MSM is so absolutely worthless!

FEAR….the magical word for foreign policy.  Every day we as news consumers are given something to be afraid of at our evening meal.  Hispanics sneak across the border carrying leprosy…..or someone is coming for your guns……..or one sick person is a pandemic that will end all mankind…….or every mosque is hiding an army of terrorists…….or……crap! just watch the tube and see which one it is today.

Most of these stories are bogus…..and then there are stories that do not catch fire for some reason or another…….some of these stories could be used to generate fear or concern…..but for unknown reason they are seldom reported……like this story from last week…….

Radioactive material has been stolen off a truck in the southern Mexican state of Tabasco, and Mexico has put four neighboring states and federal agencies on alert as it seeks to recover the iridium-192, which CBS News reports is capable of causing serious lesions and death within a day if it escapes its protective casing. The IAEA classifies iridium-192 as a Category 2 substance; it has medical applications and was in a secure container. Officials urge anyone who finds it to establish a perimeter at least 90 feet away and not attempt to handle it.

The incident is at least the second such theft in recent years, though cobalt-60 that went missing in late 2013 turned out to be accidentally grabbed by thieves who didn’t know what they’d taken; several people were later treated for radiation exposure.

Material that could be used for a dirty bomb and NO fear generation….why is that?

We allow the MSM to generate the fear with bogus stories….let’s be honest…lies….and yet something like this are not a concern…….the material is just across the border from the US and could be smuggled in for a terrorist act……but it is not worthy of comment….even from the fear mongers.

Sorry if I sound like an alarmist but I believe this should be more worrisome than a 0ne patient pandemic…….you?

I have been a staunch supporter of the A-10, the Wart Hog, and opposed to the military retiring it in favor of some overpriced brick…….

The initial reports are that the A-10 replacement is too expensive and not nearly as effective as close support for our grunts…….

This report confirms what a piece of crap this plane is……I believe the grunts deserve only the best and the most effective close support ……….The F-35 are neither!

Will India Emulate Israel?

There is always something happening in  the world of international relations that the media would like to ignore……

Bet that title is confusing to some, huh?

How could India possibly emulate Israel?  A good question and I am glad you asked.

The answer is simple……….Think settlements.

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) argues that some 200,000 to 300,000 Hindus fled Kashmir during the armed revolt which began in 1989, and says they are building the settlements to encourage those Hindus to return.

Critics say the plan is effectively Israeli-style religious settlements with an eye toward bringing pro-government Hindus into a region with an active, predominantly Muslim, separatist movement.

Separatist leaders say the BJP’s move is aimed at further weakening the existing autonomy Kashmir has, and even the top Kashmiri Hindu organization accused the government of putting them at risk by singling them out into special, exclusive districts which would become a target for attack.

This is how you steal land and make it yours…..move in your supporters until there is no more room for the original inhabitants…….think West Bank settlements.

Back to those situations that the media chooses to ignore…….settlements.  The situation in the occupied West bank is getting out of hand and yet the MSM ignores the problem….and it will ignore India’s attempt to do what Israel is doing….stealing in the name of living space…….and if I am not mistaken there was a crazy little dude back in the 1930’s that used exact technique to gobble up territory.

Amusing how some things seldom change and justifications do not evolve.

Must Not Mistreat Israel

I try to stay away from these religious types that see Jesus returning for everything that happens and now that we have a black president he will make an appearance soon.  If you believe that then I have a bridge for sale.

I bring this up because everybody’s fave religious d/bag, Michelle Bachmann, is at it again……another one of those people that just cannot keep their ignorant mouth shut…….she has said that Obama’s bad attitude toward Israel will bring the second coming……

Bachmann explained that if Obama and the United States turn their back on Israel, this would bring  severe “curses” upon the United States, similar to those seen in the end of days.

“We need to be so on fire right now about the things of Christ and the things of God, that needs to occupy our time and our thoughts virtually from morning to night because we have very little time — in my opinion — left before the second return of Christ. That’s good news!” the former congresswoman said. “The world is embracing degeneracy, but what that also tells us as we look at what the world is doing that they’re going according to God’s time clock. Pastors, preach it from the pulpit!”

“If we actually turn our back on Israel as we have seen Barack Obama do today, if that happens then I think we will see a scale and a level of push back in the United States, negative consequences,” Bachmann told Understanding the Times radio host Jan Markell on Sunday. “I don’t know what they are, but I believe that the Bible is true. And believe what the Bible says is that our nation and the people of our nation will reap a whirlwind, and we could see economic disasters, natural disasters.”

YAWN!  She is so mindless…..would that be the same Israel that condemned him, Jesus, to death?  Would that be the same Israel that he attacked on all sides?

Speaking of the Jesus thing.

I struggle with the whole Jesus thing…….as a historian I cannot find evidence, other than the Bible, that such a person actually lived.

Call me a heathen but I like for historical facts confirm the stuff people try to convince has happened…….so read the below and weigh in……

Before the inevitable religious tirade start let me say…..I am not saying Jesus did not exist only that there has been no evidence in the historic record……it is possible that some will surface….until then I still question…….

Chris Christie: Our Man In Jersey

Now that the biggest theater on earth is beginning we will be bombed by all those wannabes that think they are presidential material……if we are honest then most of those running are NOT presidential material.

One name that is floating out there in the cyber sphere is New Jersey governor, Chris Christie…….he has been making news ever since he was elected…..most of the news centers around his attitude….he is a bully and all round mean guy, at least according to some……but most of the national news is about the scandals that have surrounded him…..the tunnel thing…..the Sandy recovery…..and his biggest one yet….the bridge-gate……if he survives legal challenges and the media onslaught then he will be a candidate and one that needs to be watched, according to the media, that is……..pundits love Christie.  Why?  Every time he opens his mouth he makes news……he bullys, he condescends, he rails and he is just mean.

Being a progressive I could go off on some diatribe about his politics but why?  I will leave that to those that want to generate the controversy……I want to talk about his health…….

I ask questions…..questions that most Americans do not think of when dealing with any given subject…….I guess they are too confused to ask, especially if they are letting the media yell in their ear……

The issue I will address is one that most Americans have forgotten…….that is most but not me.

We all know of Christie’s weight problem…..and after much written and talked about it he decided to try and do the right thing and lose some weight……about 2 years ago he decided to have surgery…….

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie revealed earlier this week that he had secretly undergone Lap-Band surgery in February to bring his weight under control, a top Christie aide told ABC News.

Lap-Band surgery is among the less-invasive forms of gastric band surgery. According to the company’s website, the procedure is performed laparoscopically, meaning the surgeon makes a few small incisions in the abdomen, then uses long, thin surgical instruments to encircle the stomach with a silicone and titanium band.

weight loss is much slower with Lap-Band compared to gastric bypass and gastric sleeve surgeries. Ponce said most Lap-Band patients lose one to two pounds a week, and that it can take two or more years to reach a healthy weight.

Okay….even with the low side of weight loss of 1 pound per week….he should have lost over 100 pounds in the two years…..

I am not seeing it…..how about you?

If he had the surgery….what happened?

Should he be asking for his money back?  Or was it the state’s money he used?

If he survives his legal challenges and decides that he is of presidential material….will this whole weight loss thing become a bullet aimed at his candidacy?

Some may think I am a dick for questioning his weight…..if so be it………but 2 years ago it was a big news story and he was out there everywhere telling of his decision…..so why not question the outcome?
