Why Do They Come?

There are many sides to the latest immigration debate…….some see a humanitarian need while others see uninvited people “flooding” into our pristine country……there are so many opinions that it is mind numbing……we have heard so much from so many that it is hard to fathom just what makes these children come to this country…..we can pretend that they are just looking for a hand out and the whole world knows that we are good for that, right?  (sarcasm people)……

But all that aside…..why are they coming?

Newser) – Central American child migrants at our borders travel through a “hellish gauntlet of kidnapping, extortion, murder, and rape” in Mexico, and then arrive in the US only to face “anti-children protests,” arrests, and brutal immigration policies, John Washington writes at Salon. What could prompt them to face the journey? Washington met with several people in southern Mexico who have left their homes in Central America, and they tell him their stories:

  • One migrant, who Washington calls Eduardo, is from the city with the world’s highest murder rate: San Pedro Sula, Honduras. There, gang members see those they don’t recognize as a threat, and they kill them, Eduardo says.
  • “Miguel,” 15, was raped by his stepfather in Honduras. Discomfort around adult men has driven him to avoid the train many take through Mexico. In order to gain bus fare, he has sought work as a prostitute.
  • “Josue” left San Pedro Sula at age 20 after his ex-brother-in-law threatened to kill him. With a gun to his head, he convinced the man not to shoot. But when the brother-in-law was later killed, gangs assumed Josue was responsible and pledged to take revenge on him and his family.
  • A Salvadoran egg deliveryman, “Hector,” says he’s traveling to improve life for his son, whom he can’t afford to send to school at home. Gangs regularly take money from locals, including 35% of Hector’s paycheck.

“The first step in helping these people is to stop hurting them,” Washington writes, but our politicians don’t seem to understand that. Click for his full piece.

My feelings are….I have NO quarrel with these children….I would do what I had to to make a better life….whether legal or illegal…….I would choose based on my life and the chances of making it better.  Period!

Ebola Comes To The US

One of the most dreaded diseases has arisen yet again…..that of the Ebola virus…….it is running rampant in west Africa and two Americans have contracted the disease…..these individuals were helping in the African countries that are suffering from this resurgence……and now those people have been returned to the US for treatment……a survival rate of about 10% it is not looking good for the people that have the disease….

Even the Mighty Donald has had his say….but as usual….NO one is listening.

I have seen and read a few opinion about the disease and even some are worried that the disease will get a foothold in this country…..but you know instead of worrying about these people there is another problem that should be of more concern that these people of have returned home basically to die…..the problem I am speaking of is another disease that is making its debut here in the good old US of A…….

Newser) – Antibiotic-resistant bacteria that are “just about as bad as it gets,” as one study author puts it, are spreading quickly in the Southeast, with a fivefold increase in detected cases between 2008 and 2012, a new study warns. The carbapenem-resistant enterobacteriaceae, or CRE, can defeat even last-resort antibiotics and have been dubbed “nightmare bacteria” by the CDC. The study’s authors say they are “trying to sound the alarm,” and experts say the findings are especially worrying because it appears some of the cases were not connected to a hospital setting, the Smithsonian reports.

Maryn McKenna at Wired explains another alarming note: Many cases were found at community hospitals instead of the academic medical centers where the sickest patients are, which “is a signal that it is probably moving through what medicine calls ‘the community,’ which is to say, anywhere outside health care. Or, you know, everyday life,” she writes. Experts blame overuse of antibiotics and infection control lapses for the spread of CRE. If the spread can’t be stopped, “we’ll be in a post-antibiotic era,” an infection-control activist tells USA Today. “And the danger is not going to go away unless we change the course of how we do things.” (In an ominous first, last month the CDC said antibiotic-resistant bacteria had been found in food for the first time.)

I believe this disease is a bigger problem to us here than the Ebola outbreak…..maybe instead of looking for some non-existent conspiracy our time would be better spent on this more pressing disease…….

Are You Pissed By The NSA?

Of course you are…..we all, well most of the country, was pissed to learn that the NSA maybe spying on citizens of the US.  Old farts like me were not surprised at all….we have been the subject of many spy programs from the 1960’s and 70’s……but No one remembers those days they just think that their little lives are the only ones that will be effected…..

And then there was the revelation that the US may be spying on our allies like Germany…..and that started a whole other conversation…..why should we be spying on our closest allies?  Right?

Dumb question!  That sort of thing has been going on long before the NSA tapped into Germany’s little lives…..then we ask why would we do such a thing?  Laughable at best.  It goes on all the time…..for example….the US closest ally has been spying on the US for decades……

Who?  ISRAEL, that’s who!

(Newser) – It seems that people who live in glass houses shouldn’t spy oncell phones: During the frenetic and doomed Mideast peace talks last year, John Kerry was furiously working the phones to both Israel and the Palestinians—and as der Spiegel reports in an exclusive that cites “reliable sources,” he had an audience. It seems that at the height, Kerry made some calls using unencrypted satellite phones, and Israeli intelligence—along with “at least one other intelligence service”— listened in and used the intel to their advantage.

The talks fell apart in April, but Israelis may not have liked what they heard: As Spiegel notes, relations between Benjamin Netanyahu and Kerry appear to have soured, and Kerry is taking no small amount of criticism from Israel in the current crisis. Neither the State Department nor Jerusalem would comment. But then again, it’s not that unusual, right, Mr. Secretary?

And that is just the most recent …….Ever hear of a guy named Pollock?

An American citizen that is currently in prison for espionage………he was spying on his country for Israel…….

And question what?  There is NO outrage that Israel is doing this……why does Israel seem to always get a pass on whatever it is they do?  I think the US should pick its allies more consistent with our national interests.

I have heard No one pissing and moaning about this breech of trust…..have you?  With that said, why is Israel allowed to function unchallenged?  Yes, money has a lot to do with it, but I think there is more to it than that……I just have not been able to pinpoint the reason…..as of yet.

2014 Babbling Buffoons Of Babylon #13

Lucky 13……I was beginning to think that there were some people on the Right and otherwise that were beginning to wise up and realize that their words are moronic and their thoughts idiotic……I was wrong when I thought such…….what a great country to give its citizens such a source for humor and mockery…..and I thank them from the depths of my heart…….shall we begin edition #13?

1–One of the Tea Party’s biggest dorks, Gheen, is comparing illegal immigrants to AQ……..

In an interview with the Tea Party News Network earlier this month, anti-immigrant activist William Gheen warned that undocumented immigrants are more dangerous than “anything that Al Qaeda could blow up, short of a nuclear detonation.”

Speaking with TPNN host Larry Altman on July 8, Gheen said that undocumented immigrants would “displace millions of American workers, cost untold Americans their lives, cost untold Americans their families and their homes and their mortgage payments” and warned that American children will be turned away from college “because invaders have been brought in the country and put in those seats ahead of” them.

These types of mindless dweeps make my day and make it way too easy to mock…….thanx dude.

2–I thought that the Tea Party whackos had given up on the BS of people being sent to FEMA camps for indoctrination…..I was mistaken……..I have to give them an “A” for effort………and a “F” for originality………..

Tea Party Update, a conservative “news” outlet whose mission is to “further the cause of the Tea Party, convert more people to our cause,” and elect “liberty-minded Tea Party candidates,” emailed members today with a sponsored message from CompleteSurvivalSystem.com.

As you can imagine, the email, entitled “Your Guns Will Be Seized,” was just a tad over the top, asking members what they will do “when the government barges into your home and seizes your guns TOMORROW,” or when “FEMA tries to cram you into one of their camps like sardines.”

At least they are recycling……..

3–Anything associated with Alex Jones is beyond the pail……..bordering on the totally outrageous………if these twats ever stop lying the world will end and the Maya would have been right all along……

WorldNetDaily pundit is demanding Republicans votetoimpeach President Obama. On Monday the outlet republished a commentary from blogger J.B. Williams, who claims “only impeachment can save the Republican Party or the Constitutional Republic of the United States of America at this point.”

Williams writes that GOP voters will only be motivated to turn out in the midterm elections if it’s to back pro-impeachment candidates. He marvels that “even black groups have had the decency, honor and courage to present Articles of Impeachment against this criminal cabal,” adding that “if usurping the power of the Oval Office by election fraud is not an impeachable offense, then nothing is.”

He also cited a nonscientific online poll on the Drudge Report and a survey of his own Facebook friends as proof that the vast majority of Americans want to impeach Obama: “Even in a small private poll of my Facebook friends, 93% say impeach and incarcerate the entire Obama regime. The message from pro-American voters is totally unambiguous. Impeach!”

4–Then there is one of the biggest buffoons, Todd Aiken….you may remember him from his moronic “legitimate rape” comment……well he is speaking again and he has gotten no less stupid…….

Todd Akin took his increasinglydesperate and unintentionally comicalpersecution tour today to WorldNetDaily, the conservative outlet which is publishing his new book. Sitting down with WND editor Joseph Farah, Akin said he lost his race for the U.S. Senate as the result of an Alinsky-inspired conspiracy to destroy him — and America — by making fun of him.

“Going all the way back to the old Saul Alinsky and his tactics, instead of dealing with the thought or the issue or the question at hand, instead what you do is you try to destroy their character, you make fun of them,” Akin said.

“It’s a form of very destructive politics, the attempt to destroy people’s credibility and it is used by the left very effectively to the point that Republicans cower and are afraid of it.”

Instead of cowering, Akin explained, people need to be more heroic…just like Todd Akin: “My belief is it’s time in America for heroes, for people who have the courage to stand up for what’s right, to call truth truth, for calling what they are doing a terrible tactic to destroy America and to destroy other people and just call them out on that.”

I cannot help it…….I love these types of morons…….it makes my job so much easier……..it makes mocking them just …..FUN!

5–What’s the old saying….”apples do not fall far from the tree”…….the father of right wing moron, Ted Cruz, is speaking…….

Rafael Cruz, the father of Ted Cruz and a close adviser to the Texas senator, told the radio show “Faith & Liberty” on Tuesday that President Obama is committed to emulating Joseph Stalin and Mao Zedong in seizing firearms in order to use them against the American people.

Cruz, who regularly preaches Christian Nationalist pseudo-history, said that Obama has a “worldview based upon a totalitarian view of government being all powerful,” and is bent on “destroying the exceptionalism of America” by ratifying the Law of the Seas Treaty.

After host Dave Garrison asked if “President Obama wants to take our guns as part of this worldview,” Cruz responded: “Well, of course, you have got to realize that is all about control. You look at history, Stalin took out the guns, then killed twenty million people; Mao took out the guns, then killed fifty million people. Every society where government has taken the guns away from the population, then they’ve used them against the population.”

Rafael is as tired and moronic as his son……

6–Seems that the two biggest d/bags these days are Alex Jones and Gheen……..they are using the immigrant kids for so much hate and lies it is beyond disgusting……you gotta read this I found on Right Wing watch…….

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC president William Gheen joined conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on his “Infowars” program yesterday to discuss Gheen’s pathetic nationwide rallies against Central American children fleeing to the southern border.

In just a few minutes, the two conspiracy-theory-minded activists combined their mental powers to develop a grand theory that President Obama is luring Central American kids with “Obamaphones” to recruit them to be child soldiers in a private army that will confiscate guns and crack down “in a totalitarian fashion against American citizens.”

7–I have heard of immigration reform being blamed for a lot and accused of even more…..but this gun twat has a really original line……..

Gun Owners of America head Larry Pratt has been insistent that Republicans mustopposeimmigration reform in order to save gun rights, which he claims are threatened by immigrants.

In an interview with extremist talk show host Stan Solomon that was posted online last week, Pratt alleged that immigration reform would destroy the GOP and therefore the country: “That means kiss our Second Amendment goodbye, it means, really, kiss our republic goodbye, because if you give the Democrats a lock on all of the levels of government, the country goes communist.”

“It’s just the end because they know no limit to the big government that they support,” he said. “It will be extremely dangerous, and gun owners will be early on in the sights of those Democrats that might be voted for by the newly minted voters. So the idea of amnesty is a really bad idea.”

Everything will lead to gun confiscation….the shortage of toilet paper to the banning of ingredients in hot dogs…….I wish we could ignore these twats but their stupidity prevents us from doing so.

8–One of my fave mindless goobers is Gohmert and as usual he has opened his worthless mouth and spoke CRAP!

During a conference call last week hosted by GOP politician E.W. Jackson, Rep. Louie Gohmert dismissed concerns that young migrants are fleeing Central America due to drug violence, claiming that the children aren’t telling the truth.

“Texas and the United States is [sic] being invaded and we’re in danger,” Gohmert said, before alleging that most of the unaccompanied minors are lying when they tell border patrol agents that they are escaping gang violence in Central America and have been coached to make such claims. Gohmert said minors end up telling officers that “we were told to say that we were fleeing gang violence.”

The congressmen went on to say that “the penetration of criminals and terrorists across our southern border” represents a threat to the U.S. comparable to the threat of a nuclear strike from Iran against Israel

This d/bag is a lawmaker….a lawmaker with the brains of a turnip…..should scare you.

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) said Wednesday that immigrant families were giving their daughters birth control pills before they departed on the arduous “rape path” to the U.S. border.

“A very high percentage of girls are given birth control pills before [their families] send them on their journey up the train of death on ‘The Beast’ to get to the river, and then to pay a coyote to give them a ride across, because the families expect the girl to be raped on the way,” King told CNN’s Chris Cuomo in an interview on “New Day.”

I swear I cannot understand this amount of hate or the necessity for lies when talking policy……but then I am not a politician, a conserv politician……
