Palestinians Support The People Of Ferguson

With all the trouble in Ferguson after the death of Mike Brown….Palestinians took to Twitter to help protesters deal with tear gas….instructing them on what to do when gassed…..and now the people of Palestine have sent a statement to the people of Ferguson in support…….the statement reads…….

We the undersigned Palestinian individuals and groups express our solidarity with the family of Michael Brown, a young unarmed black man gunned down by police on August 9th in Ferguson, Missouri. We wish to express our support and solidarity with the people of Ferguson who have taken their struggle to the street, facing a militarized police occupation.

From all factions and sectors of our dislocated society, we send you our commitment to stand with you in your hour of pain and time of struggle against the oppression that continues to target our black brothers and sisters in nearly every aspect of their lives.

We understand your moral outrage. We empathize with your hurt and anger. We understand the impulse to rebel against the infrastructure of a racist capitalist system that systematically pushes you to the margins of humanity.

And we stand with you.

We recognize the disregard and disrespect for black bodies and black life endemic to the supremacist system that rules the land with wanton brutality. Your struggles through the ages have been an inspiration to us as we fight our own battles for basic human dignities. We continue to find inspiration and strength from your struggles through the ages and your revolutionary leaders, like Malcolm X, Huey Newton, Kwame Ture, Angela Davis, Fred Hampton, Bobby Seale and others.

We honor the life of Michael Brown, cut short less than a week before he was due to begin university.  And we honor the far too many more killed in similar circumstances, motivated by racism and contempt for black life: Ezell Ford, John Crawford, Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin, Tarika Wilson, Malcolm Ferguson, Renisha McBride, Amadou Diallo, Yvette Smith, Oscar Grant, Sean Bell, Kathryn Johnston, Rekia Boyd and too many others to count.

With a Black Power fist in the air, we salute the people of Ferguson and join in your demands for justice.

The protesters in Ferguson have sent the trouble with the police international……social media has helped so many and will keep that spot light on the situation……eventually the dinosaurs that rule this country will realize that social media is instantaneous…..the world is watching!

America Helped Make the Islamic State | VICE United States

There has been much discussion on who did what, when and why……some of it is good discourse and some of it is manure wrapped in news reporting…..there have been oh so many people that have an opinion on what we should have done and when….but so far not one of those has been any where near the fighting….so their opinion is worthless.

I read this piece yesterday and think my readers that are interested in the rise of ISIS might find interesting……nothing is as cut and dry as the MSM wants us to believe……

Iraq’s Rescue Con Job

Thoughts from an empty room……

For weeks we have heard about the thousands upon thousands of people trapped on the top of the mountains in Iraq…..we have been dropping humanitarian supplies to them like water, MREs and such……..and these people were used to get the US to return to Iraq in a military way…..and then………

The only good news coming out of Iraq, so far, is that there are way less people trapped in the Sinjar Mountains by IS….the US was considering sending in the special forces to help these people be rescued and now that is been scrapped because the need is just not there.

The news say that people made their way off the mountain in darkness so there are far fewer than had been reported.  The question that has not been asked is….if they were trapped and made their way off the mountain….where did they go?  There has been no reports of more Yazidis showing up….so where did they go?  Or while distributing supplies NO one noticed the lack of massive amounts of refugees?  Or why there has been no reports of an influx of Yazidi refugees…seems that would have been a story that needed filing.

Now if they are not there is it possible that there were NEVER as many as 20,000 people trapped on the mountain?  If they were never there where did this story originate?  The Kurds seem to be the biggest beneficiaries of the aid to the region….could they have blown this out to gain even more?

The situation with IS has the world on edge and the Kurds are looking like the saviors of the region….makes a great narrative for what they really want….succession.

Now I have other questions….is the US being played by the Kurds?  Or is the US just looking for a fight?  What will the next “crisis” be that the US will be needed to solve?

This country is being played or it is possible that we want to return to Iraq and are just manufacturing crises to justify that return?

The prez has called our efforts to help the besieged people on the mountain a success……he is taking credit for all the ‘success’……he has stated that NO further operation will be needed………sounds like propaganda to me.

So I ask again….was this a fabricated humanitarian crisis?  If so, by whom?

To me it sounds like a con job……a con job like so many others….think Gulf of Tonkin and WMDs……..

Any opinions?

The Silence Of The Sand

Inkwell Institute

Middle East Desk

I have noticed that the Arab League is suspiciously silent on the Gaza violence….and I got to thinking why would they be so passive?

You would think that Arabs would stick together in this time of conflict….but not this time….what could be so toxic that the League would basically look the other way while Israel destroys so many lives, both physically and materially?

Then I ran across a piece that tries to explain this muteness……

(Newser) – As Palestinian bodies pile up in Gaza, where is the outrage from Arab leaders? Unlike during previous Israeli offensives, countries including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan have failed to condemn Israel and push for an end to the fighting, and fear of the political Islam that Hamas represents appears to be the reason why, the New York Times reports. “The Arab states’ loathing and fear of political Islam is so strong that it outweighs their allergy to” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, says former Middle East negotiator Aaron David Miller.

“I have never seen a situation like it, where you have so many Arab states acquiescing in the death and destruction in Gaza and the pummeling of Hamas,” Miller says. “The silence is deafening.” Egypt has continued to blame Hamas for Palestinian deaths, and it and other Arab states now find themselves on Israel’s side not just against political Islamic movements, but against Iran, analysts note. Meanwhile, the commissioner-general of the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees calls the Israeli shelling of a UN school yesterday a “serious violation of international law,” the Guardian reports. “Children killed in their sleep—this is an affront to all of us, a source of universal shame,” he says. “Today the world stands disgraced.”

Basically, the League will forgo so many decades to struggle of the Palestinian people because they are worried about their own little power base.  Apparently change is not on the agenda of countries like Jordan, Saudi and others.  When they do break their silence and condemn the atrocities they seldom name the perpetrator.

The rise of radical Islam has driven these regimes into the arms of the West and most notably Israel……..for the fear of losing their stranglehold on power has made them make a decision that will ultimately be their downfall…….
