2014 Babbling Buffoons Of Babylon #2

My second edition of BBB for 2014……they just do not know when to shut the Hell up…..someone has to point out their moronic words….and that is……….. WHY I AM HERE!

1–My first one is because I am a Native American….my family is Jicarilla Apache…..so anytime an asshole sez something offensive about Native Americans….I take offense…I take it personally…..this one is from some screaming douche bag from Michigan…….

In an interview with the New Yorker, Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson said this: “I made a prediction a long time ago, and it’s come to pass. I said, ‘What we’re gonna do is turn Detroit into an Indian reservation, where we herd all the Indians into the city, build a fence around it, and then throw in the blankets and the corn.'” He also called stopping for gas in the city an invitation to car-jacking, reports Raw Story, and he said that “anytime I talk about Detroit, it will not be positive. Therefore, I’m called a Detroit basher. The truth hurts, you know? Tough s—.'” Patterson, who apparently has a long history of controversial statements, is now crying foul about the interviewer having an “agenda,” as civil rights leaders, the mayor, and other lawmakers in Detroit call for an apology, reports the Detroit Free Press.

2–More from the idiots that want to cite some form of “Biblical Authority” …….damn these religious types get stupider by the year……

Perhaps looking to strengthen his issue portfolio as he runs to be governor of Massachusetts, anti-gay activist Scott Lively has posted a list on his website of the “top seven reasons I am pro-life.” Although the first few are standard fare (e.g. “abortion is just another name for murder”), Lively strays off the pro-life movement’s messaging when he goes into the reasons why a woman’s right to choose undermines men’s “biblical authority.”

“Legalized abortion robs fathers of their fundamental rights as parents, and their Biblical authority as heads of their households,” Lively contends. In the case of rape, he adds, “a child must never be required to pay for the sins of his father.” But among all this, he concludes, it is women who are “degraded” by the right to choose.

3–There seems to be a wealth of the “religious” that just cannot say anything but something moronic or anal…….like this televangelist…..

Bill Keller, a right-wing televangelist who frequently goes on rants against Mormonismandhomosexuality, told a caller on his “Live Prayer” show to commit suicide.

Keller, who has worked with conservative activists including Janet Porter and Rick Wiles, told the viewer that he should think about suicide and that “it might help the world.”

And people listen to this moron…this douche bag…..he is NO religious person in my humble opinion…..

4–It use to be Glen Beck that had an anal statement a month….well usually more but I was a bit kind to him….why?  I feel sorry for morons.  But now he is replaced by the Motor City Moron as the biggest loser with a big mouth…..all he knows how to do is lie and rant…he NO longer has any musical ability….so why not?  Who is this masked man?  One Ted “the dip shit” Nugent!

5–Leave it to FOX News to come up the biggest pieces of bullshit…..their newest is…….

Fox News found a different point of concern. Brian Kilmeade, co-host of Fox and Friends, honed in on the connection between pot and food stamps, otherwise known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP.

“Can people collecting food stamps in Colorado add marijuana to their shopping list?” Kilmeade asked. “Right now, the answer is yes. Because there’s nothing blocking using government benefit cards in pot shop ATMs.”

Total crap…….Federal and Colorado law says that food stamps must be used for food (hat tip here to Media Matters). The U.S. Department of Agriculture says “SNAP benefits can never be withdrawn as cash.”  Sorry, but that eliminates an ATM…..hopefully these twats know how an ATM works….maybe not….it does take a modicum of intelligence to work one.

6–Not all the stupid is uttered by the American brand of morons….it is universal…..this one from a French member of parliament…

A French MP was fined 3,000 euros on Thursday for a racist outburst in which he said “maybe Hitler hadn’t killed enough gypsies” during the Second World War.

I realize that Europeans as a whole are not real thrilled with the Roma, aka gypsies…..but that racist remark was just uncalled for……Roma communities refer to the Holocaust as the “Porajmos”, and while the figures are uncertain – many of those killed were murdered indiscriminately – between 220,000 and 1.5 million were killed by death squads and in concentration camps between 1939 and 1945.

7–Ever hear of CNN’s Nancy Grace….my fondest memory of her was watching her have a meltdown when that woman who was accused of killing her child walked…..I thought she was gonna have a stroke on air….anyway she is an idiot!  This is what she had to say about pot legalization……

“The reason I’m against legalization of pot is that I’ve seen too many felonies, and I don’t mean pot sales or growing pot,” she said. “I mean people on pot that shoot each other, that stab each other, strangle each other, drive under the influence, kill families — wipe out a whole family.”

My guess this loud mouth person has never smoked pot or known anyone that has….her BS is wrong!  People who smoke pot want three things….some wine….some munchies….and to get laid.  Period!  Grace is a moron that needs to shut up…..she is a self-righteous toad……period!

8–I remember my radical days…….I protested and even considered the possibility of a revolution…..the problem is that the government put me into the COINTLPRO program and I was dogged everywhere I went…..I tell you this because of something I read recently……

Speaking to a Tea Party group late last year, retired Army general and Fox News pundit Paul Vallely insisted that he doesn’t want to see a revolution take place…but if a revolution does happen then he will be happy to lead it.

Vallely reminisced about how he once discussed plans to “surround the White House and surround the Capitol building” with 250,000 marines, adding that “it’s going to take physical presence” to make elected officials heed their demands.

“I’m not inciting a revolution but we’ve got to get more physical and stand up and protest,” Vallely insisted. “I don’t want to be criticized for starting a revolution, but I’d certainly head it if we had to. We all love a good fight if it’s worth it, right?”

Why is it that people just say this guy is a batshit crazy and I was was spied upon constantly….what makes this guy immune from scrutiny?  He is a revolutionist,, so was I…..but because he has a high paying gig he is above reproach….funny how that works, eh?

9–Nowadys there seems to be a ground swell of support and opposition to the gay marriage wave that is sweeping the country…….and seems one dude has an idea on how to stop the gay marriages from occurring…..

A Republican lawmaker in Oklahoma has hit upon what he considers a “realistic” way to ban gay marriage in the state while staying on the right side of the US Constitution: Banning all marriage. Rep. Mike Turner has filed a bill that would end state recognition of any marriage and says he has the support of other conservatives. Asked by News 9 whether it would be “realistic for the State of Oklahoma to say, ‘We’re not going to do marriage period,'” Turner responded, “That would definitely be a realistic opportunity, and it’s something that would be part of the discussion.”

My only question for this pinhead…..what about the sanctity of marriage that all you types like to sloganize (Is that a word)?

Immigration–GOP Style

This little issue has been hanging around of the fringes of political debate for decades….and in those days there have been many ideas on how to handle the influx of ‘illegal’ aliens into the country……I recall a few…..first there was the virtual fance armed with cameras, senors, all kinds of electronic stuff…the problem when finished it did not work and millions were flushed down the toilet…again.  Then there were some creative ones like a moat filled with alligators or a huge electrified fence or the 30 foot fence topped with broken glass and razor wire…and during all this time the same question kept popping up….what is the GOP gonna do about immigration?

And that question was answered yesterday….the GOP has a plan…….

House Republican leaders issued a set of principles today on immigration reform, and the consensus seems to be that they offer enough wiggle room to get a deal done this year. Some highlights:

  • Legal status: Many of the 11 million undocumented immigrants now in the country would be able to attain legal status, though not citizenship.
  • No ‘special path’: They would attain that legal status not through a “special path”—Republicans say that would be unfair to those who have followed the rules—but only after they “admit their culpability, pass rigorous background checks, pay significant fines and back taxes, develop proficiency in English and American civics, and be able to support themselves and their families (without access to public benefits).”
  • Citizenship for ‘dreamers’: Kids brought here illegally by their parents—often referred to collectively as the “dreamers”—would get a path to citizenship.
  • Border security: None of the above takes place until enforcement is beefed up.

There you have the ‘plan’….but wait!  Their original plan is still a priority…..border security……….NOTHING on how to achieve it.  So there is really nothing new…….

Now that they have a ‘plan’….how is it viewed?

  • Washington Post: It’s a big deal because this is “first the first time that (House GOP leaders) would be open to allowing the nation’s 11 million undocumented immigrants to live and work legally in the United States.”
  • The Hill: “The endorsement of a path to legal status for many of the nation’s estimated 11 million illegal immigrants is a significant step toward comprehensive immigration reform for a party that has long resisted policies that some deride as amnesty.”
  • Politico: It sees the move as a “modest change” for the GOP leaders themselves, but “for a Republican Party that advocated ‘self-deportation’ as recently as 2012, it’s a massive shift.”
  • New York Times: “The Republican proposal seeks to walk a fine line: offering legal status—but not citizenship, and not through a special path—to undocumented immigrants who meet certain conditions.”
  • President Obama: “I actually think we have a good chance of getting immigration reform,” President Obama told CNN.
  • Chuck Schumer: “While these standards are certainly not everything we would agree with, they leave a real possibility that Democrats and Republicans … can in some way come together and pass immigration reform.”
  • John Boehner: In releasing the plan, he sought to emphasize what the GOP won’t do. “These standards are as far as we are willing to go. Nancy Pelosi said yesterday that for her caucus, it is a special path to citizenship or nothing. If Democrats insist on that, then we are not going to get anywhere this year.”

I suggest that you read the full text of the proposal before you make your decision…….after that….I want to hear from my readers on this issue…..

Is The Ceiling Falling?

Why don’t we talk economics and politics in the same breath?

What’s that sound?  Is that everyone’s butt slamming shut?

I know economics is about as exciting as watching paint dry…..but unfortunately it is everywhere…there is NO way to avoid it.

Next month there will be a huge deal in the media about the debt ceiling…..the questions will be asked if the GOP will play the usual game?  Will the economy be held hostage to ideology?  That will be the common thread in the media and we know what that means…….politico after politico will dash out to the nearest camera and have their say…a say that will have been scripted during the meetings being held the last week of January.

Will an act of sabotage be perpetrated?  Economic sabotage that is……..

But who will be the point people?  My guess is that Cruz and Paul will be the most vocal in the beginning…..and then a bunch from the House will chime in….people like Lee, Stockman and some of those retiring soon……the rhetoric will be that it is the prez that is at fault….of course it will…he is ALWAYS at fault……there will be a concerted effort along these lines as to put the idea into the heads of the people that it is somehow the Dems fault for the failure……and as I look at the building storm…it could be effective….remember there is an election this year and any help that can be gleamed out of the debt ceiling debate will be lagnappe…..(something extra for those that do not speak Cajun)……..

All in all, the debt ceiling will be messy and chaotic……can hardly wait!
