Finally! A Repub With Cajones!

For two years we have bombarded with the “birther” crap….is Obama really an American citizen?  The Right has been fanning this divisive pile of bovine fecal matter for a long time and it just keeps getting more and more outrageous…..some politicians will not say that it is crap…they beat around the bush and refuse to call these whack jobs out for wasting time and energy on total crap….

I have said there is one way to make this whole “birther” thing disappear……(pause for effect)…..the only way this will go away is if Obama wakes up tomorrow morning white!  It is that simple…this is only a cover for racist bullsh*t…..

But now, a Repub candidate has come out of the wood pile and started acting like an adult….Mitt Romney….NO!  I am not supporting him in any way…just giving a man his props for doing the right thing….

Mitt Romney tackled the “birther” issue in his first interview since announcing that he is exploring a White House run. “I think the citizenship test has been passed. I believe the president was born in the United States,” Romney told CNBC, suggesting that his fellow Republicans should focus on more substantive issues. “The man needs to be taken out of office, but his citizenship isn’t the reason why.”

While this is a noble gesture….there is a history in his family along these lines…..

……in the ’60s when his father, George Romney, was seeking the Republican nomination. The Michigan governor was born to American parents in a Mormon colony in Chihuahua, Mexico. Romney’s opponents labeled him “Chihuahua George” but his eligibility for the presidency was never seriously challenged.

Like I said…..the only reason this is an issue is because we have an African-American as the president…..and some just cannot deal with that……

Debt Ceiling–It’s All A Game

Let us be honest……Actually…..ALL politics is a game….a game of spin, of stats, of people……we just finished one game….that being the deadline game of the 2011 budget…..both sides pushed that issue to the limits and then miraculously a deal was struck…and then both sides could claim victory and the peasants back home….danced…..

That was round one and now we will move on to round two…..and that would be the raising of the debt limit….the spin machine has been working overtime and the media has been doing the tango with the politicians to keep it in the news (always look for what they are trying to suppress…it is called a misdirection)…..any way we will be bombarded continuously with this news story…..but go to the local town square and ask people what they think about the national debt….you will be surprised how many do not CARE….most want to see the economy grow and to find a descent job…..but the major story will be the catnip for the media…..the debate on whether to raise the debt ceiling or not……

I know that many of my conservs friends think that I am a bit too sarcastic or pessimistic….but if it is NOT a game then what the Hell would you call it?

Republicans are growing increasingly concerned about the impact a bruising fight over raising the nation’s $14.29 trillion debt ceiling could have on U.S. financial markets.House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) has had conversations with top Wall Street executives, asking how close Congress could push to the debt limit deadline without sending interests rates soaring and causing stock prices to go lower, people familiar with the matter.

Republicans and even some fiscally conservative Democrats want to use the debt limit fight as leverage to wring more significant spending cuts out of the White House. Politicians of all stripes are worried about how independents will react to a vote — or multiple stop-gap votes — to raise the debt ceiling. Many executives on Wall Street believe Washington is playing an enormously dangerous game with what is typically a non-controversial vote.

A game is a game….and this debate on the Debt ceiling is a massive game and in the long run the Middle Class will get bit in the ass by the players…..keep playing this game…..holding the US credit rating hostage and you help create another economic meltdown……To the voter….you voted for these cowards….how is that working out for you?

We have heard all the political rhetoric about the decline of American trade and how we are losing the race to the Chinese and the Indians….the Dems blame the lack of education and innovation…the Repubs blame it on the debt…they blame everything on the debt…..but are they just bumping their gums or is there truly a decline?

According to the prestigious firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers:

According to the report by PwC, the coming years will see global trade undergo “fundamental change” as emerging economies such as China and India begin to “dominate the top sea and air freight routes”.PwC’s findings are in line with the World Bank’s prediction that China’s economy will eclipse the US by 2030, if it can sustain its growth.

Its chief economist Justin Lin said on Wednesday that, if China continued to grow at an annual rate of 8%, it would be twice the size of the US economy in 20 years.

It is official……if we continue to do NOTHING we will become a second class trader in the world economy…..but what can we do is build a fire under the lame ass pigs in Washington that have created this situation…them and their special interest handlers…….thanx to such dynamite things as free trade agreements and banks that do nothing more than move money around and paper work…..they, banks, no longer invest in America and that is where we have gone terribly wrong, by allowing these people to do this and get away with killing an industry…….

What we need are politicians with courage and that is a dying breed……we need people that care about their country and NOT the next campaign…and as long as we allow this situation to continue the quicker we can kiss a prosperous country good-bye!
