A new year and a new batch of self-absorbed a/holes serving the public…..and Alabama has a new governor and a new look at religion……
Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley told a church crowd just moments into his new administration that those who have not accepted Jesus as their saviour are not his brothers and sisters, shocking some critics who questioned whether he can be fair to non-Christians.
“Anybody here today who has not accepted Jesus Christ as their saviour, I’m telling you, you’re not my brother and you’re not my sister, and I want to be your brother,” Bentley said Monday, his inauguration day, according to The Birmingham News.
Since I live in the South…..I can say that this is a popular stand on religion…..bet some of the other religions that voted for this dickhead are really proud of themselves at this point…….
I didnt know there were any other religions in alabama.
I really hate when politics and religion cross paths…

Before a crowd of reporters and Jewish leaders Wednesday afternoon, Governor Robert Bentley apologized for comments that many considered offensive towards non-Christians.
“I did not mean to offend anyone with my comments there,” Bentley said the group of religious leaders and reporters in his State Capitol office.
The governor said when he made the comments to the church audience he assumed he was speaking as a private citizen and not as the Governor of Alabama.
The man is an idiot…it is Alabama after all…..
Yeah, well, American bible belt and all that… what do you expect, intelligence?
To be honest…Yep…a little intelligence never hurt anyone….
Maybe it never hurt, but searching for such a rarity amongst that group seems like a bit of a fool’s errand to me. 😆
