Franken, a liberal Democrat from Minnesota, was presiding over the Senate as McConnell explained his opposition to President Barack Obama’s high-court nominee.

A Senate GOP aide said Franken made theatrical gestures and whispered under his breath as the Kentucky senator spoke. It was distracting enough that McConnell went up to the former comedian afterward and said, “This isn’t ‘Saturday Night Live,’ Al.”

Have you watched the Senate?  Not even SNL’s writers could come up with the crap these guys do…….

Franken later apologized to McConnell for being rude during the senators diatribe to why he could not support Kagan for SCOTUS…….and now this should be over…..of course it is NOT…there has got to be media harping on this story after all it was on a Friday and traditionally a slow news day and even slower since most of the Congress has left town for an August break…..an August break?  These dickheads get more time off than the unemployed……but I digress…

McConnell said to Franken, “This isn’t Saturday Night Live, Al”……..I think he is wrong!  It is a sketch from SNL….have you watched these comedians on CSPAN?  Have you read any of the news reports coming out of the Congress?  If you have then you have noticed the humor that is government….the political theater and the political absurdities…..Congress is a JOKE!  And a very bad joke at that!
