Pres. Obama has nominated Judge Sonia Sotomayor as the nomimee for the Supreme Court. In case you have not heard, she is a woman and a hispanic which if confirmed would make her an oddity in American history.
In the weeks to come you will hear all sorts of things about Sotomayor, both pro and con, as everyone tries to make a move to position themselves in the converstaion in the nomination process. Of course, the “floating fat man” Rush has already started his attacks and they will most likely get louder and nastier.
I even heard a conservative call her a liberal activist judge….thinking……why is it the liberals are the only activists; those on the right are seldom called that…why?
I am sure that everyone interested will be gagging from the exposure when her vote comes up in the Congress. We will even know her fav topping on pizza by the end of the process. Sit back and enjoy the ride…it will be sickening at best!
Hi Chuq! I love your new look! I hope you’re doing well this week. I was in the Wash DC area for Memorial Day weekend. Californians like myself are NOT used to humidity, so I was walking around drenched in sweat the whole time!!!
RE: Sotomayor, the conservs are definitely blasting her as a liberal, but it appears from her record that she’s quite moderate. But I guess we’ll find out more in the coming days/weeks…

Sotomayor ius already being blasted as not very smart….wait! Phi beta….graduate with honors from Princeton….Yale Law….Federal judge….a lame argument and now I see that they are targeting gun owners with the fear that she will steal their guns…..is not the GOP the lamest bunch of morons you have ever seen?

Yep, I was in the DC area, but mostly Maryland. This time I didn’t get to do much “stalking” in the Capitol Hill area…!
Economy’s getting better, in my opinion, only because the art business is picking up again. Good for me, because I’m getting more customers than I have in a while now… 🙂
it still ooks loke they are attacking women more heavily then men….it could just be me…but it appears they have a prob with women.
I agree- the GOP likes women when they’re HOT (or sorta’ hot) like Sarah “Bible Spice” Palin; but otherwise, it’s like they really wanna put a woman back in her place.
