Yet more from the opinionated editor of Info Ink.
The Senate wants the UAW workers to cut their pay by 1/3 to bring them more in line with the non-union workers in the factories in the South.
Maybe the Senators should lead by example. Did you know that the Congress is due for a pay raise in the new year? This to a group that has accomplished very little as far as leadership goes and they are calling for others who get taxpayers money to be fired. The decisions of the Congress has made more disastrous decisions than any CEO.
Now ask, how much in contributions did Sen. Shelby get from Nissan, Toyota and Benz? Or how much did Kentucky’s McConnell get from Nissan? Or Corker? Or….well you get the idea…and what was promised to these companies for their support? Maybe those Congress men and women that took auto industry money should be excused from making any decisions on their future.
If you do not like that suggestion, how about, the Congress should take a 10% cut in pay until the economy is healthy again. Or a 10% cut in pay annually until the economy stabilizes. They want the UAW to put some skin into the bailout, how about these do nothing idiots do the same?
May I suggest that these people finally grow a set of ‘nads and LEAD BY EXAMPLE! They are asking everyone to suffer and sacrifice except themselves. That is not leadership; it is COWARDICE!
