The News May Be Treason

Little Donny Do-Little has now thumped his chest and called for news reporting contrary to his lies as treason…..

US President Donald Trump late Sunday floated “treason” charges against media outlets that he accused of reporting false information about the Iran war as the human and economic costs of his illegal military assault continued to mount.

In a tirade posted to his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote that media outlets he accused of circulating “fake news” should “be brought up on Charges for TREASON for the dissemination of false information.” The maximum penalty for treason in the US is death.

Trump specifically called out the Rupert Murdoch-owned Wall Street Journal for reporting over the weekend that “five US Air Force refueling planes were struck and damaged on the ground at Prince Sultan air base in Saudi Arabia.” Citing two unnamed US officials, the Journal noted that “the tankers were hit during an Iranian missile strike on the Saudi base,” and that the planes were “damaged but not fully destroyed and are being repaired.”

The US president called the story “false reporting” without substantively refuting its content. Trump wrote that four of the refueling planes are “in service” and one “will soon be flying the skies”—none of which is inconsistent with the Journal’s reporting.

Trump, who regularly uses his social media platform to circulate AI-generated videos and photos, also complained about an AI video purportedly showing the USS Abraham Lincoln on fire. The president claimed the video was “distributed by Corrupt Media Outlets,” without offering any examples. AFP published a fact-check of the video last week, deeming it “fabricated footage.”

Trump’s latest attack on the US media came after his Federal Communications Commission chair, Brendan Carr, threatened Saturday to pull the broadcasting licenses of media outlets he accused of “running hoaxes and news distortions.” Carr did not provide specific examples.

The US president said Sunday that he was “thrilled to see” Carr’s threat, railing against “Corrupt and Highly Unpatriotic” news organizations.

What’s next on Donny’s stupid list to be called ‘treason’?

The most treasonous person calling some one on treason….now that is rich.

Any thoughts my good readers?

What Does It Take For A Security Clearance?

The major story a few weeks ago was the War Department leak and the arrest of a National Guardsman for that leak.

Apparently the War Department is using its clout with the MSM to have the story slowly die and be replaced with nonsense like the Correspondents Party.

Many have asked just how could this part-time soldier have access to such sensitive info and how did he get a security clearance?

I am glad you asked.

Jack Teixeira, 21, had a top-secret security clearance which gave him access to sensitive and highly classified government documents. The case has prompted questions about the clearance process and the subsequent red flags that seem to have gone unnoticed after it was granted.

In 2018, a year before he joined the Massachusetts Air National Guard, Mr Teixeira was suspended from high school after being overheard making threats and discussing weapons.

The same year, he made an application for a firearms identification card which was denied over police concerns about his remarks.

Neither incident prevented him from passing the background checks needed to get security clearance for his job as an IT specialist in an intelligence unit.

In the US, security clearances are issued by a wide array of government agencies ranging from the CIA to the Department of Energy. The vast majority are issued by the defence department, according to ClearanceJobs.com, a job portal focused on government jobs that require clearances.

Most agencies have four main levels of security clearance: confidential, secret, top-secret, and “sensitive compartmented information”, which has been called “above top secret”, and can include material from intelligence sources.

The process of obtaining a security clearance begins with a suitability check to determine eligibility for the job, and applicants then have to fill in an exhaustive form. Standard Form 86, or SF86, includes personal data such as education and employment history, details of family and associates, and foreign travel and connections. It also asks about criminal history, military service, and financial issues.

…..read on….

Personally I think there are too many ‘security consultants’ with access to sensitive info….this will not stop the abuse and as long as there are more ‘consultants’ than military it will continue to be a problem.

And the beat goes on.

Aaron Burr–VP

Time for some more early American history….Part 4

The only thing most Americans know about Aaron Burr is that he shot and killed Hamilton in a duel in New Jersey (today they know this because of some musical)…..

A new century begins, 1800 and there is trouble in the White House that eventually lead to accusations and an arrest of Burr……

Aaron Burr, a former U.S. vice president, is arrested in Alabama on charges of plotting to annex Spanish territory in Louisiana and Mexico to be used toward the establishment of an independent republic.

In November 1800, in an election conducted before presidential and vice-presidential candidates shared a single ticket, Thomas Jefferson and his running mate, Aaron Burr, defeated Federalist incumbent John Adams with 73 electoral votes each. The tie vote then went to the House to be decided, and Federalist Alexander Hamilton was instrumental in breaking the deadlock in Jefferson’s favor. Burr, because he finished second, became vice president.

During the next few years, President Jefferson grew apart from his vice president and did not support Burr’s renomination to a second term in 1804. A faction of the Federalists, who had found their fortunes drastically diminished after the ascendance of Jefferson, sought to enlist the disgruntled Burr into their party. However, Alexander Hamilton opposed such a move and was quoted by a New York newspaper saying that he “looked upon Mr. Burr to be a dangerous man, and one who ought not to be trusted with the reins of government.” The article also referred to occasions when Hamilton had expressed an even “more despicable opinion of Burr.” Burr demanded an apology, Hamilton refused, so Burr challenged his old political antagonist to a duel.

On July 11, 1804, the pair met at a remote spot in Weehawken, New Jersey. Hamilton, whose son was killed in a duel in 1801, deliberately fired into the air, but Burr fired with intent to kill. Hamilton, fatally wounded, died in New York City the next day. The questionable circumstances of Hamilton’s death effectively brought Burr’s political career to an end.

Fleeing to Virginia, he traveled to New Orleans after finishing his term as vice president and met with U.S. General James Wilkinson, who was an agent for the Spanish. The exact nature of what the two plotted is unknown, but speculation ranges from the establishment of an independent republic in the American Southwest to the seizure of territory in Spanish America for the same purpose.

In the fall of 1806, Burr led a group of well-armed colonists toward New Orleans, prompting an immediate investigation by U.S. authorities. General Wilkinson, in an effort to save himself, turned against Burr and sent dispatches to Washington accusing Burr of treason. On February 19, 1807, Burr was arrested in Alabama for alleged treason and sent to Richmond, Virginia, to be tried in a U.S. circuit court.

On September 1, 1807, he was acquitted on the grounds that, although he had conspired against the United States, he was not guilty of treason because he had not engaged in an “overt act,” a requirement of treason as specified by the U.S. Constitution. Nevertheless, public opinion condemned him as a traitor, and he spent several years in Europe before returning to New York and resuming his law practice.

Things you do not know about Aaron Burr…..

Burr, taking advantage of a recent yellow fever epidemic, asked the Federalist-controlled state legislature to give him a charter for what he called the Manhattan Company, a private organization that would provide New Yorkers with clean water. One of the most passionate supporters of Burr’s plan was Mr. Federalist himself, Alexander Hamilton—though he would soon regret coming to his rival’s aid. In 1799, the legislature gave Burr that charter, which included a clause that allowed the Manhattan Company to employ “surplus capital” in any “monied transactions or operations not inconsistent with the constitution and laws of this state or of the United States.” Using this major loophole, Burr turned the Manhattan Company into a Democratic-Republican bank. It barely delivered water at all (although to keep the charter, a bank employee would ceremoniously pump water until 1923). Hamilton, along with the entire New York legislature, had been duped into helping Burr break the Federalist monopoly on banking in the city.

The Manhattan Company has since evolved into JPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the largest banking institutions in the world. It now owns the pistols that were used in the Burr-Hamilton duel.

To this day there is still some debate on whether Burr was treasonous or not.

You decide.

Insurrection Update #13

MY continuing series on tracking the idiots that participated in the rebellion of 06 January and those traitors that are lurking in the wings waiting for their next ‘big” chance….

Think about this before I get into the idiots that got caught from their part in 06 January…..

Less than a year after a pro-Trump mob stormed the US Capitol, nearly half of Republican voters (47%) say that “a time will come when patriotic Americans have to take the law into their own hands,” per a new nationwide survey by George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs.

Only about 29% of Americans agreed with this statement on some level, the poll found, including just 9% of Democrats. And 49% said they disagree or strongly disagree.

The poll also found that a majority of Republicans (55%) say “the traditional American way of life is disappearing so fast we may have to use force to save it.” About 15% of Democrats agreed with this statement, but more Americans disagreed (46%) than agreed (34%).

(Yahoo News)

Did you think you would see this stupidity from the “America love it or leave it” crowd?

First they broke the law…they need to pay!

Now for the ‘justice’ for their treason…..

Capitol riot defendant Robert Reeder was set to appear in court Wednesday when the proceedings were called off at the last minute due to new videos that surfaced showing his actions on Jan. 6.

BuzzFeed reported that Reeder pleaded guilty in June to a misdemeanor “parading, demonstrating and picketing the Capitol” charge, which would result in a low-level punishment. He was going to argue for no jail time, the report claimed.

Then everything changed.

The Sedition Hunters, a group of online activists that have dedicated months to looking through videos and photos to identify people at the Capitol Jan. 6, found Reeder attacking Capitol Police officers in a video.

https://www.rawstory.com/new-video-capitol-insurrectionist-trial/

Now an idiot insurrectionist looks for an excuse for her stupidity…

Jenna Ryan, the infamous Dallas-area realtor who took a private plane to Washington before participating in the Capitol insurrection, has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of parading, demonstrating or picketing.

During her plea hearing on Thursday, U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper asked Ryan if she was “under the effects of any substances that would alter her ability to proceed,” according to a report from Jordan Fischer, an investigative reporter at Washington’s NBC affiliate.

“I had a single glass of wine last night,” Ryan reportedly responded.

“That doesn’t count,” Cooper replied before Ryan pleaded guilty.

https://www.rawstory.com/capitol-rioter-jenna-ryan/

Screw her!  She knew what she was doing….throw the damn book at the bitch!

Assassinate Pelosi!

Oath Keepers were calling for action against the Speaker of the House…..

NBC News reporter Scott MacFarlane, who covers the insurrectionist beat, tweeted that Friday is the day in which several people will be in court over the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Among the messages prosecutors found in the inspection of Oath Keepers’ phones was an Election Night chat that discussed a “shooting spree,” beginning with ” [Nancy] Pelosi first.”

He’s not the first one, as the New York Times documented several months ago. A Proud Boys supporter in New York was accused in Feb. 2021 of posting violent threats on the conservative social networking site Parler. A Colorado man was charged with sending a text about “putting a bullet” in Pelosi. A man living near Chicago left an alleged voicemail message about killing Democrats on Inauguration Day.

https://www.rawstory.com/oath-keeper-text-nancy-pelosi/

If this is NOT treason what the Hell is?

Some insurrectionists are still defiant even after they have been charged…like this ex-cop from Florida….

Kevin Tuck, part of a father-and-son police officer duo facing charges related to the January 6 Capitol riot, posted a new YouTube video calling for other conservatives to “rise up,” according to ABC affiliate WFTV-9 in Orlando.

Tuck is a former Windermere, FL police officer who joined his son Nathan at the riot — also a former Florida cop — and had boasted, “We stormed the Capitol, fought the police,” Kevin Tuck allegedly wrote. “… We took the flag. It’s our flag,” according to the FBI.

Here’s some of the content of Tuck’s YouTube video, as reported by WFTV-9:

“Pastor Kevin here, the patriot pastor, coming to you…(when) you look at Jan. 6, that was a day that patriots were fed up — fed up,” he said. “Patriots are being arrested left and right for trespassing. You’ve got to be kidding me.”

https://www.rawstory.com/capitol-rioter-kevin-tuck/

Another disgusting insurrectionist gets a plea deal…..

Robert Keith Packer, who was photographed wearing a “Camp Auschwitz” sweatshirt in the Capitol, was arrested in January and charged with two misdemeanors, including entering and remaining in a restricted building and violent entry and disorderly conduct in a Capitol building.

He pleaded guilty to both counts in February, but prosecutors on Tuesday said they have offered him a deal in exchange for his guilty plea, CNN reported.

While the federal government did not provide any additional details about the deal, several rioters facing similar lower-level charges in recent weeks have pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of illegally demonstrating inside the Capitol.

https://www.businessinsider.com/doj-offers-plea-deal-to-capitol-rioter-who-wore-camp-auschwitz-shirt

Why are these traitorous slugs getting off easy with plea deals?

When it comes to holding the January 6 US Capitol rioters to account, the Justice Department has plenty of tools in its prosecutorial toolbox — and plenty of critics who have questioned whether they are prosecuting defendants to the fullest extent of the law.

Some of the alleged rioters are facing felonies stacked upon felonies — an assortment of obstruction, assault and theft charges, like the Pennsylvania man who’s been accused of punching a police officer and stealing the officer’s body camera. But dozens of other alleged rioters could plead guilty to misdemeanors and walk away with a slap on the wrist.

Former prosecutors and other legal experts tell CNN that the strategy makes sense, as the department should prioritize its resources on the most dangerous of the mob participants, while securing cooperation from the more peripheral rioters to help build cases against the serious offenders.

https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/25/politics/capitol-riot-cases-charges-explainer/index.html

There should be NO slap on the wrist for their decisions and actions.  PERIOD!

The Arrest Of Aaron Burr–1807

Today is notable because in 1807 the VP of the US was arrested on the charges of treason……Aaron Burr was his name…..an event in American history that few Americans know anything about…..but I can change that.

Burr, because he finished second, became vice president

Class Dismissed!

Is It Internal Strife?

There is something for everyone……how much chaos can be generated by one op-ed?

The biggest news was not the hearings but rather the op-ed published in the WaPo about the subversion of the Trump White House….and as one might expect Our Dear Leader is raging mad and as usual taking to Twitter…..

There is a “quiet resistance” within the Trump administration that is working to curb some of the president’s “worst inclinations.” That’s according to the author of an anonymous op-ed published by the New York Times on Wednesday. The writer, identified as a senior official in the administration, counts himself or herself as a member of this resistance. But the writer notes that this is not the “popular ‘resistance’ of the Left” and goes on to praise the administration for achievements in areas such as deregulation, tax reform, and a robust military. “But these successes have come despite … the president’s leadership style, which is impetuous, adversarial, petty, and ineffective,” the writer concedes.

While seeking to assure Americans that there “adults in the room,” who are steering the administration “in the right direction until—one way or another—it’s over,” the writer also provides a behind-the-scenes glimpse into Trump’s presidency. The president is amoral and lacks guiding principles, the administration official writes. Meetings “veer off topic” as Trump rants—”his impulsiveness results in half-baked, ill-informed, and occasionally reckless decisions that have to be walked back.” But most worrisome, according to the writer, is the loss of civility that has accompanied Trump’s presidency. Read the whole piece here. The AP describes it as “a striking anonymous broadside,” and says Trump responded by calling the editorial “really a disgrace” and tweeting, “TREASON?” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders called on the “coward” author to resign.

Now would be a good time to read the op-ed in its entirety….

My readers know where I stand on this person….but now it is time for all the secrecy to end and these anonymous people to stand up and take their place in the resistance…..by the way it is NOT treason to criticize the president….however it is Treason to allow a foreign entity to invade our political process…….

Coward?  If anyone would recognize a coward it would be that Huckabee woman who takes lying to a new high.

Just a thought.

But sports fans there is so much more…..as always Trump went on his typical yada yada tour and told lie after lie…….

“TREASON?” tweeted President Trump after the New York Times published an op-ed from an anonymous administration official who described his leadership style as “impetuous” and “adversarial” and spoke of a “resistance” inside a deeply unstable administration. In a follow-up tweet, the president told the newspaper to reveals the author’s identity, if it wasn’t a “phony source,” the Guardian reports. “If the GUTLESS anonymous person does indeed exist, the Times must, for National Security purposes, turn him/her over to government at once,” Trump said, adding: “I’m draining the Swamp, and the Swamp is trying to fight back. Don’t worry, we will win!” More:

  • “I don’t like them.” Speaking at a meeting of sheriffs from around the country Wednesday afternoon, Trump described both the source and the Times as “failing,” CBS reports. “When you tell me about some anonymous source within the administration, probably who is failing and probably here for all the wrong reasons—and the New York Times is failing—if I weren’t here, I believe the New York Times probably wouldn’t even exist,” he said. They don’t like Donald Trump and I don’t like them,” he said of the Times.

People “stunned” within the Times. The Times‘ newsroom is separate from its opinion department, and sources tell Vanity Fair that people within the paper were “totally stunned” to read the “cry for help” from inside the administration. “It’s a parlor game. Everybody’s trying to figure out who it is, including the Washington bureau,” one senior journalist says. “It feels like a crazy moment.”

  • Sanders wants an apology. White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told the Times it should apologize for the ” pathetic, reckless, and selfish op-ed.” She also said the source is a “coward” who should resign. “He is not putting country first, but putting himself and his ego ahead of the will of the American people,” she said.
  • “Volcanic” anger. In the White House, the hunt for the op-ed’s author is on, insiders tell the Washington Post. The sources say Trump reacted with “volcanic” anger to the op-ed and said he suspects the official either works in the Justice Department or on national security issues. Aides are analyzing language patterns in an effort to find the author, insiders say. They say aides have been texting each other the phrase: “The sleeper cells have awoken.”
  • The guessing game. The AP looks at the “guessing game” people are playing to determine the author. Among the clues: The word “lodestar,” frequently used in Mike Pence’s speeches; could the author be someone close to him, or was it used to throw people off? The Times says the author was described as a “he” by somebody unaware of the author’s identity, meaning it isn’t necessarily a man.
  • Defending anonymity. The Times is defending the controversial and “exceedingly rare” decision to grant anonymity to the author of the op-ed. “It was clear early on that the writer wanted anonymity, but we didn’t grant anything until we read it and we were confident that they were who they said they were,” says op-ed editor James Dao. He says the author set out a “very principled position that deserved an airing.”
  • Is Trump in his element? With the op-ed, the Robert Mueller investigation, and Bob Woodward’s new book, Trump may seem embattled, but his critics should remember that he has “skirted calamity” many times in his career before and gone on to brag about surviving the crisis, writes Michael Kruse at Politico. He says Trump ally Roger Stone told him the “fearless” president makes even Richard Nixon look like a “cream puff.” “Nixon was smarter,” he quotes Stone as saying, “but Trump is tougher.”

People talk about the number of “crises” this administration has had…..maybe it would be easier to keep up with the number of days that there has been no crisis.

Top 10 Traitors

Every time a Right winger does not like something a Leftie does or says and the “T” word is trotted out……Traitor!

WE all probably have our list of traitors….of course the first prick to come to mind is Benedict Arnold…..but can you name any others?

Black’s Law Dictionary defines “treason” as” attempting to overthrow the government of the state to which one owes allegiance, either by making war against the state or by materially supporting its enemies.” Submitted here are ten people who did their level best to see that America couldn’t celebrate her official birthday. And yes, this list is “too American.”

Number 10 on this list….Jane Fonda……

During the height of the Vietnam war in 1972, film starlet Jane Fonda visited North Vietnam and shilled for the North Vietnamese government, screeching that American prisoners of war (POWs) were being treated humanely. She then went on to condemn all US soldiers as “war criminals”. On hearing that many POWs claimed to have been tortured, Fonda denounced them as “liars”. She encountered no legal or professional repercussions upon her return to the US, but claims to deeply regret her actions today. How nice for her.

Source: Top 10 Traitors in US History – Listverse

An interesting list….but to me not accurate.

For instance Aaron Burr was charged with treason but never convicted….legally he is not a traitor.

To me before one can be labeled a traitor one must be convicted of the crime.

If not then it is so much talk.

Anyone you want to add to the list?

The Treason Of Arnold

On this day, 21 September 1780…..Benedict Arnold gave up the plans to Wset point to Brit agent, John Andre…..

Most Americans know all about the treason of Benedict Arnold…one of those stories that we are taught in school from the very beginning….it is suppose to teach us a lesson about loyalty and patriotism.

Most Americans know that he, Arnold, betrayed his country but for what…..

This is where the old professor comes to the rescue with one of his now famous history lessons…..

Two years have elapsed since we left Washington at White Plains, where he encamped soon after the battle of Monmouth. During the two years little was done in the North but watch Clinton, who held the city of New York. A few minor operations, however, were not without significance. Sullivan’s raid into the Indian country we have noticed. Another exploit of this same general, occurring at an earlier date was less successful. The only part of the United States held by the British in the autumn of 1778, aside from Manhattan Island and a few western posts on the frontier, was Newport, with the island on which it stands. This was occupied by Sir Robert Pigott with a garrison of six thousand men, and Washington determined to make an effort for its recovery. He sent Sullivan with fifteen hundred picked men, who were to cooperate with a French fleet under Count d’Estaing, lately arrived in American waters. Sullivan’s army was increased to several thousand by New England volunteers, and success seemed to be in reach when a terrific storm crippled and scattered the fleet, and the project came to naught.

Pride and ego can drive men to do despicable things….and one of the most despicable is the betrayal of one’s country.

The Treason Trial Of The Century

You would think with all the drama going around Washington these days I would be writing about the possibility of a trial of Trump for treason.

You would be WRONG!  (did you trolls on the Right read that?  But if the concept of wrong eludes you let me know and I will have a 4 year old explain it to you)

You guys know how much I like history and that I am an opinionated SOB (in case the grammar police are reading…..SOB stands for son of a bitch….in case you were not sure)

The trial was the biggest scandal that has hit the US in its day……it dominated the news during the trial…..

This trial for treason is about the deal with Aaron Burr…..the man was the VP of the nation and he is the one that shot and killed Hamilton in a duel……you see he had dreams of grandeur….and he acted on those dreams…..

Never has an American trial produced such an impressive set of key players:

the defendant– Aaron Burr, founding father, Vice President, and slayer of Alexander Hamilton in their famous duel three years earlier;
the trial judge–John Marshall, Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court (and the most important justice in history);
the force behind the prosecution–Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration of Independence and  president of the United States;
defense attorneys–Edmund Randolph  and Luther Martin, both delegates to the Constitutional Convention and among the most prominent men of the day; prosecutors– Charles Lee, former Attorney General, and William Wirt, future presidential candidate.

Source: The Treason Trial of Aaron Burr

This story has more plot twists than any Guy Richie movie that you may have seen….it makes excellent reading…..that is if you like intrigue, mystery, betrayal, foreign agents and courtroom drama…..some say it was witchcraft that made Burr do it…but it was nothing more than blind ambition.

This is a tale that very few Americans know anything about…..not taught in history class before college…

Try it…you will like it!

It Is Always About The Money

Life is strange…but there is one constant…..the pursuit of money……we start wars because of it…..we run for office to gain access to it…..we write books in search of fame and fortune……and that is where I pick up with the news….

A former Navy SEAL who wrote about taking part in the mission that killed Osama bin Laden will have to pay all current and future profits from the book—and possible movie rights—to the government, the AP reports. It’s an amount already exceeding $6.6 million. In addition, Matt Bissonnette, who wrote No Easy Day under a pseudonym in 2012, will have to pay the government $1.3 million to cover its legal fees, according to ABC News. Bissonnette was in trouble for violating non-disclosure agreements he signed when he was a Navy SEAL and not clearing the book with the Defense Department before publishing it. Bissonnette signed the settlement Friday.

As part of the settlement, Bissonnette agreed to make a formal apology. “I acted on the advice of my former attorney, but I now fully recognize that his advice was wrong,” NPR quotes Bissonnette as saying. “It was a serious error that I urge others not to repeat.” In return, the government dismissed other claims against Bissonnette. It also stated what happened “does not discredit Mr. Bissonnette’s military service.” Bissonnette has four years to pay off most of the more than $6.6 million he currently owes the government. But he only has 30 days to pay the government $100,000 he made giving presentations on his experiences.

This douche broke protocol and gets a slap on the wrist……

There are some things that are done by the military that the public just does not need to know…..parts of this situation are apparently still classified…..if that is the case then this is treason and should be punished accordingly.

When I left the military I had to sign the same document….apparently it is not as important as it was in my day….for it was a mandatory jail time and a fine…….

Apparently the lure of lots of cash will make some do anything to achieve it….

I do NOT care who this person is or what he says he has done………This dick should be in prison and ALL cash confiscated.

Peroid!
