President Trump opened a meeting with his Cabinet at the White House on Thursday by speaking about the ceasefire deal and his plans to travel to the Middle East. Trump said that he will be going to Egypt for a signing ceremony and that he has been invited to speak before the Knesset, the Israeli parliament, during the trip, the AP reports. “If they would like me to, I will do it,” Trump said. He said it is a complicated process for the hostages to be released from Gaza, but it will be happening Monday or Tuesday. Trump’s eighth Cabinet meeting lasted around an hour, much shorter than other recent meetings. More:
Autism. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. reiterated the unproven link between Tylenol and autism at the meeting. He claimed children who are circumcised early have double the rate of autism, which is because they’re given Tylenol afterward. Kennedy also shared what the Independent calls a “bizarre story” about seeing a video of a woman “saying ‘F Trump’ and gobbling Tylenol.” Trump said vaccines could also play a role in autism, saying, “Obviously, there’s something, there’s something that’s artificially, I think, induced, something, whether it’s the vaccines, in terms of these massive vaccines,” per NBC News, which notes that the theory of a link has been debunked.
Chicago, Portland buildings for ICE. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said her department is buying buildings in Chicago and Portland for use in immigration enforcement operations, NBC reports. “We’re purchasing more buildings in Chicago to operate out of. We’re going to not back off,” she said. “In fact, we’re doubling down, and we’re going to be in more parts of Chicago in response to the people there.”
Shutdown cuts. Trump said only “Democrat programs” would be cut in response to the government shutdown, the Guardian reports. “We will be making cuts that are permanent and we’re only going to cut Democrat programs, I hate to tell you,” he said. “We’ll be cutting some very popular Democrat programs that aren’t popular with Republicans, frankly, that’s the way it works.”
A notable absence. One person who was not present at the president’s Cabinet meeting on Thursday was Mike Waltz, the newly confirmed US ambassador to the United Nations. That’s because the White House has decided that the job will not be a Cabinet-rank position, as it was during the Biden administration, the AP reports, citing two congressional officials familiar with the matter.

An Arizona Republican state representative who has expressed support for January 6 insurrectionists on Wednesday called for a Democratic congresswoman to be executed, as a response to a video clip.
The comment on X by state representative John Gillette of Kingman, Arizona, first reported by the Arizona Mirror, was a reaction to a short clip drawn from a YouTube video in March by US representative Pramila Jayapal, a longtime Democratic congresswoman representing Washington state, entitled “The Resistance Lab.” In the video, Jayapal discusses preparations for street protests against the Trump administration.
“Until people like this, that advocate for the overthrow of the American government are tried, convicted and hanged … it will continue,” he posted.
Nothing in either the clip or the longer video actually suggests Jayapal is advocating for the overthrow of the US government. The video carries explicit calls for non-violent protest and discussed with alarm a rise in political violence in the US.
Gillette’s comment is a continuation of a string of inflammatory far-right online invective by the Mohave county Republican and retired army reserve command sergeant major. Gillette has defended January 6 protesters, who were intent on violently overturning Trump’s defeat by Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election, as “political prisoners” and described Muslims as “terrorists”.

Up first to address the military leaders was the idiot in charge of the War Department….
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth addressed a rare assembly of the top US generals and admirals on Tuesday, though his speech didn’t reveal any major surprises. Hegseth reiterated points he has previously made: He wants a less “woke” (a word that idiots use because it is easy to remember than one of those 50 cent words that educated people employ) fighting force and a warrior mentality. Highlights from his speech in Quantico, Virginia, via NBC, the AP, the New York Times, and the Washington Post:
Ethos: “The era of politically correct, overly sensitive don’t-hurt-anyone’s-feelings leadership ends right now at every level,” he said. Specifically, “no more climate change worship, no more division, distraction, or gender delusions.”
Watchdog: He said the Pentagon’s internal watchdog has been politicized and will be overhauled to discourage anonymous and “frivolous” complaints. It’s the “no more walking on eggshells” policy, he said of the inspector general’s office. “Of course, being a racist has been illegal in our formations since 1948. The same goes for sexual harassment. Both are wrong and illegal.”
Non-toxic: He also promised to push back harder against complaints of “toxic” leadership within the military. “We’re undertaking a full review of the department’s definitions of so-called toxic leadership, bullying and hazing, to empower leaders to enforce standards without fear of retribution or second-guessing.”
Fitness: “Frankly, it’s tiring to look out at combat formations, or really any formation, and see fat troops,” he said. “Likewise, it’s completely unacceptable to see fat generals and admirals in the halls of the Pentagon. … Whether you’re an Airborne Ranger or a chairborne ranger, a brand new private or a four star general, you need to meet the height and weight standards.” He said all members of the military, at every rank, will now have to pass a fitness test twice a year.
Women: He said a new combat field test would require troops to meet the highest male standard, with no separate standard for women. “I don’t want my son serving alongside troops who are out of shape, or in combat units with females who can’t meet the same combat arms physical standards as men,” he said. “This job is life and death. Standards must be met.”
Facial hair: “No more beards, long hair, superficial individual expression,” Hegseth said. “We don’t have a military full of Nordic pagans.”

Name change: Trump said he expected more pushback from Democrats over the decision to rename the Department of Defense the Department of War. He suggested he’d worn out his critics.

He said the idea of a carbon footprint is “a hoax made up by people … with evil intentions.”
Immigration: Trump told the world body to end the “failed experiment of open borders,” accusing the UN of facilitating an “invasion” of the US and other Western nations. He said Europe in particular is in “serious trouble” because of immigration.
Flexing: But even while depicting himself as a peacemaker, Trump boasted of ordering strikes on Iran and on alleged drug smugglers from Venezuela. “We will blow you out of existence,” Trump warned future smugglers.
Biden: Trump went after his predecessor a number of times, referring to the “Sleepy Joe Biden administration” as one of the most “corrupt” and “incompetent.” He again blamed the Russia-Ukraine war partly on Biden.
UN slam: “What is the purpose of the United Nations?” Trump asked. “I’ve always said (the UN) has such tremendous, tremendous potential, but it’s not even coming close to living up to that potential.” Trump said he has resolved multiple global conflicts in contrast to the UN. “Empty words don’t solve wars.”

Vice President JD Vance hosted an episode of The Charlie Kirk Show from the White House on Monday, and his guests included White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, who said the killing of the show’s namesake will lead to a crackdown on leftist groups that he described as a domestic terror movement. “With God as my witness, we are going to use every resource we have at the Department of Justice, Homeland Security and throughout this government to identify, disrupt, dismantle and destroy these networks and make America safe again for the American people,” Miller said. Vance said the White House would “work to dismantle the institutions that promote violence and terrorism in our own country.”
“The organized doxxing campaigns, the organized riots, the organized street violence, the organized campaigns of dehumanization, vilification, posting people’s addresses, combining that with messaging that’s designed to trigger and incite violence and the actual organized cells that carry out and facilitate the violence,” Miller said. “It is a vast domestic terror movement.” He said the crackdown would happen “in Charlie’s name.”
Vance opened the show by saying he was “filling in for somebody who cannot be filled in for, but I’ll do my best,” the AP reports. He said Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, told him the 31-year-old was never “cross or mean-spirited” to her. “I took from that moment that I needed to be a better husband and I needed to be a better father,” Vance said. “That is the way I’m going to honor my friend.”
Later in the show, Vance said that he was “desperate” for national unity, but that there can be “no unity with the people who celebrate Charlie Kirk’s assassination.” “When you see someone celebrating Charlie’s murder, call them out,” he said, per NBC News. “And, hell, call their employer. We don’t believe in political violence, but we do believe in civility, and there is no civility in the celebration of political assassination.”
“This is not a both-sides problem,” Vance said. “While our side of the aisle certainly has its crazies, it is a statistical fact that most of the lunatics in American politics today are proud members of the far left.”
Vance’s other guests included Tucker Carlson, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, and White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. Kennedy described Kirk as a “spiritual soulmate” who “orchestrated” his endorsement of Trump last year at an Arizona rally organized by Kirk’s Turning Point USA group, the Guardian reports.

Asked, “Do you plan on designating Antifa finally a domestic terror organization?” the president responded, “Well, it’s something I would do, yeah. If I have support from the people back here– I think we’d start with Pam, I think. But I would– if you give me– I would do that 100%, and others also, by the way. But Antifa is terrible.”
Trump then added that there were “other groups” he would also consider designating as domestic terror organizations, remarking, “They have some pretty radical groups and they got away with murder.”
“Also, I’ve been speaking to the attorney general about bringing RICO against some of the people that you’ve been reading about that have been putting up millions and millions of dollars for agitation,” he concluded. “These aren’t protests, these are crimes what they’re doing.”
Trump received renewed calls to go after Antifa – which has a lengthy history of engaging in violence – following the assassination of Kirk at Utah Valley University last week.

Speaking again on Tuesday, days after the killing, Trump said that “most of the violence is on the left.”
But the data tells a different story. In the last five years, 81 people have been killed by political violence in the United States. Right-wing terrorists account for over half of those murders, some 54%, according to research by the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank. Islamists account for 21%, and left-wingers for 22%.
The same study looked at data as far back as 1975 and found that terrorists inspired by Islamist ideology account for some 87% of all deaths (3122) from political violence, due to the mass casualties of the 9/11 attacks.
Excluding the 9/11 attacks, over the same period, terrorists inspired by right-wing ideology are responsible for 63% of deaths from political violence during that time, compared to 10% for left-wing attacks. Since 1975, there have been 391 deaths caused by right-wing terror attacks in the United States, and 65 deaths from left-wing terror attacks.

But Kirk was no hero. The record is clear. If Kirk was a victim of a pernicious culture of violence in America, it must also be acknowledged that he was an author of that culture.
His primary accomplishment in life was to foment hatred and division across the United States. He blamed all of America’s ills on the left, and cheered violent attacks on Democrats. He fought against equal rights for many Americans; some of his last words were condemning women’s reproductive freedoms. He promoted America’s gun pathology (Ironic isn’t it), and asserted the death of innocents was an acceptable cost for that culture.
Charlie was not what I would call a compassionate person….he proved it every time he opened his mouth….
One of Charlie Kirk’s most controversial statements comes from a Turning Point USA Faith event Q&A (starting around the 1:13:00 mark) in April 2023 where he was fielding a question about gun rights:
“It’s worth it to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year, so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights… That is a prudent deal. It is rational.”
On the October 12, 2022, episode of his podcast (around 36:40), Charlie Kirk stated:
“I can’t stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, new age term that does a lot of damage.”
During a TPUSA Faith event on March 21, 2025, Charlie Kirk criticized birth control (around 36:50), stating:
“…birth control really screws up female brains, by the way. Every single one of you needs to make sure that your loved ones are not on birth control. It increases depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. Birth control is the number one prescribed medication for young ladies under the age of 25. They will give young ladies birth control for pimples, for acne, to control their moods, and their period. It is awful, it’s terrible, and it creates very angry and bitter young ladies and young women.”

Imagine that President Donald Trump actively wanted to encourage radical right-wing groups and “lone wolf” individuals to wage open violent warfare on anyone they deem a leftist anywhere in America. If Trump wanted to send that precise message, he could hardly do much better than the words he actually did deliver on Fox and Friends on Friday morning.
For years those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis. This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we’re seeing in our country and must stop right now. My administration will find each and every one of those who contributed to this atrocity and to other political violence, including the organizations that fund it and support it, as well as those who go after our judges and law enforcement officials.
As Jonathan Chait notes, here Trump treats political violence as if it only exists on one side of the spectrum. I’d add something else: I’m unaware of any other recent president explicitly vowing to unleash the power of the American state on a vast, inchoate ideological group in quite this way.
Trump’s wording in this prewritten speech is deliberate: He says his administration will target everyone it can find who contributed to the assassination of Kirk. The clear message is that anyone who can be blamed for Kirk’s death even speciously and pretextually is now subject to retribution by the full force of the government and Trump’s security services. Note that this includes liberal-left “organizations” as well.
“The radicals on the left are the problem,” he continued, “and they’re vicious and they’re horrible and they’re politically savvy.”

There has been a wealth of bills flying around to ban experiments in controlling the weather…..there is no experiments to control the weather…..but that does not stop the GOP from using it as a tool for crowd control.
Republicans across the country are working hard to pass bills banning something that the fringe corners of the internet told them to be afraid of: weather modification.
Weather modification refers to geoengineering processes such as solar radiation modification and cloud-seeding that are used to counter the effects of global warming and drought, respectively. These processes have been woven into right-wing conspiracy theories that the government is able to control the weather, and MAGA lawmakers—fearful that the Democrats could rule the heavens and summon a deluge to wipe them out—have started to take action.
Republican lawmakers in nearly 20 states have introduced legislation to prevent weather modification. Some of the laws allude to “chemtrails,” a conspiracy theory that planes aren’t leaving “contrails” of condensation in the atmosphere but are spreading chemicals on an unsuspecting public. In two states, Florida and Tennessee, those bills have passed and been signed into law.
In July, right-wing concerns about weather modification reached a new fever pitch.
Earlier this month, Environmental Protection Agency head Lee Zeldin announced an effort to “compile everything we know about contrails and geoengineering” and release it to the public.
Days later, Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene and Tim Burchett introduced the Clear Skies Act, a bill that would levy steep penalties for anyone who “knowingly conducts weather modification,” including geoengineering, cloud seeding, solar radiation modification, and the release of aerosol to “influence temperature, precipitation, or the intensity of sunlight.”
After Hurricane Helene struck the southeast United States in October, Greene boosted the right-wing conspiracy theory that the Biden administration had used weather manipulation to target Republican areas ahead of the U.S. general election. “Yes they can control the weather,” Greene wrote in a post on X at the time. “It’s ridiculous for anyone to lie and say it can’t be done.”
WE all know what the acronym stands for, Make America Great Again, that is just a bunch of letters thrown together to sell a con on the voter….but what do those idiots really see when they see the MAGA?
MAGA is also closely related among Republicans with an “America First” policy. This is partly about having a strong military – a common theme among Republican respondents – and “making America the superpower” again, one respondent wrote.
Republicans also wrote that putting America first means emphasizing strict enforcement of immigration laws against “illegals” and cutting off foreign aid. For example, one Republican respondent said that MAGA meant “stopping illegals at the border, ending freebies for illegals, adding more police and building a strong military.”
Finally, Republicans see the slogan as calling for a return to “traditional” values. They expressed a strong desire to reverse cultural shifts that Republican respondents perceive as a threat.
As one Republican put it, MAGA “means going back to where men would join the military, women were home raising healthy minded children and it was easy to be successful, the crime rate was extremely low and it used to be safe for kids to hang out on the streets with other kids and even walk themselves places.”
In other words step back into the 1950s….
What about Democrats?
Democrats have a very different understanding of the MAGA slogan. Many Democrats view MAGA as a white supremacist movement designed to protect the status of white people and undermine the civil rights of marginalized groups.
One Democrat argued that “‘Make America Great Again’ is a standard borne by people who’ve seen a decrease in the potency of their privilege (see: cisgendered white men) and wish to see their privilege restored or strengthened. In essence, it’s a chant for all racist, fascist and otherwise bigoted actors to unite under.”
Another Democrat wrote that MAGA was a call to “take us backwards as a society in regards to women’s, minority’s, and LGBTQ people’s rights … It would take us to a time when only White men ruled.”
Democrats also view MAGA as a form of nostalgia for a heavily mythologized past. Many Democratic respondents described the past longed for by Republicans as a “myth” or “fairytale.” Others argued that this mythologized past, though appealing on the surface, was repressive for many Americans.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday his administration was considering taking over governance of Washington, D.C., and suggested he could take similar action in New York because of his distaste for the leading candidate for mayor there.
Trump has made a similar threat regarding Washington before, but has not followed through even as he criticized crime rates and bashed other institutions there.
The president, speaking during a cabinet meeting at the White House, said his chief of staff, Susie Wiles, was in close touch with Mayor Muriel Bowser, who favors making the city a U.S. state.
“We have tremendous power at the White House to run places when we have to. We could run D.C. I mean, we’re … looking at D.C.,” Trump said. “Susie Wiles is working very closely with the mayor.”
Bowser’s office declined to comment.
The District of Columbia was established in 1790 with land from neighboring Virginia and Maryland. Congress has control of its budget, but voters elect a mayor and city council, thanks to a law known as the Home Rule Act. For Trump to take over the city, Congress likely would have to pass a law revoking that act, which Trump would have to sign.
I want to hear some semi-literate d/bag defend this proposal and please leave the stupidity of ‘sanctuary’ cities out of the defense if you have one.

In a post on Truth Social on Saturday morning, the president threatened to revoke her citizenship, though he doesn’t have the authority to take away the citizenship of somebody born in the US, Deadline reports.
“Because of the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship,” Trump wrote. “She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her.”
“US citizens can relinquish their citizenship voluntarily, and federal courts can strip naturalized citizens of their citizenship if there is proven fraud or misrepresentation or other major cause,” said Julia Gelatt of the Migration Policy Institute, per the New York Times. “But US-born citizens cannot have their citizenship taken away.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene announced this week that she plans to introduce a bill that would make weather modification a felony offense.
The Georgia Republican wants to ban “the injection, release, or dispersion of chemicals or substances into the atmosphere for the express purpose of altering weather, temperature, climate, or sunlight intensity.” Greene said anyone who does this would face serious criminal charges.
Greene has not been shy about her views on weather modification in the past. She has suggested that certain political groups might be using technology to control the weather. Her new bill appears to be a response to these long-held beliefs about government weather programs.
This is a absolutely worthless waste of time and just adds to thye stupidity of conspiracy theories.

President Donald Trump‘s Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins spoke today with GOP governors including Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders about how the administration plans to “protect U.S. agriculture from foreign threats.”
As seen below, Rollins addressed the deportation of undocumented farm laborers. She said: “There will be no amnesty. The mass deportations continue, but in a strategic way. And we move the workforce towards automation and 100% American participation, which again with 34 million people, able-bodied adults on Medicaid, we should be able to do that fairly quickly.”
Some GOPers are pouting because of the smoke from raging wildfires in Canada….
Six Republican members of Congress from Wisconsin and Minnesota have sent a letter to Canada’s ambassador, complaining that smoke from Canadian wildfires is drifting south and spoiling outdoor summer activities for their constituents. The lawmakers, including House Majority Whip Tom Emmer of Minnesota, say residents are dealing with “suffocating” smoke and dangerous air quality, limiting their ability to spend time outdoors, per the BBC. The letter—also signed by Minnesota Reps. Brad Finstad, Pete Stauber, and Michelle Fischbach, and Wisconsin Reps. Tom Tiffany and Glenn Grothman—asks the Canadian government what steps it plans to take to mitigate wildfires and the resulting smoke.
The lawmakers also criticize what they see as Canada’s “lack of active forest management.” “With all the technology that we have at our disposal, both in preventing and fighting wildfires, this worrisome trend can be reversed if proper action is taken,” the letter states, per Global News.

An “anti-government militia” called ‘Veterans on Patrol’ told News 9 on Tuesday that it is “targeting” Oklahoma weather radars, days after an individual vandalized News 9’s weather radar.
The group, which the Southern Poverty Law Center called an “anti-government militia,” shared with News 9 that they believe weather radars control the weather.
In an interview, News 9 asked Michael Lewis Arthur Meyer, the founder of Veterans On Patrol:
“Is it true that Veterans On Patrol [is] targeting Oklahoma Weather Radars?”
“Absolutely,” Meyers responded.
News 9 confirmed that a sign posted near an Oklahoma weather radar warns that Doppler radars are being targeted.

A “deranged” cannibal immigrant allegedly began eating his own arms during a deportation flight, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem claimed on Tuesday. The disturbing incident was recounted during her visit with President Donald Trump to the newly constructed “Alligator Alcatraz” deportation facility deep in the Florida Everglades.
“The other day I was talking to some [US] Marshals that had been partnering with ICE,” Noem said. “They were they said that they had detained a cannibal and put him on a plane to take him home and while they had him in his seat, he started to eat himself, and they had to get him off and get him medical attention.”
Noem initially shared this last week during an interview with Fox News host Jesse Watters. Describing a conversation with a US Marshal, Noem said she was told, “off-handedly,” that there was a cannibal on a “planeload of illegals.” When she asked what was meant by “cannibal,” the marshal allegedly replied, “He started to eat his own arms.”

On June 3, the agency signed a pair of definitive contracts with Associates Golf Car Service of Poughkeepsie, New York, and Restroom Resources LLC of Wrightstown, New Jersey, federal records show.
The agreement with Associates Golf Car Service Inc., for ‘Golf Car Rental and Transportation Services,” is worth a potential $550,930 and runs through June 2, 2026. Restroom Resources’s work order for “portable restroom rentals and services” is worth up to $80,385, runs through May 31, 2026, and comes with a three-year renewal option, for a potential total of $333,801. Taxpayers, as is customary, will be footing both bills.

A rep for President Trump’s legal team is calling it “another win for the American people” in the realm of “fake news”: Paramount late Tuesday announced that it will pay $16 million to settle Trump’s lawsuit over the editing of an October 60 Minutes interview with then-presidential rival Kamala Harris. The payment will cover Trump’s legal fees, with the remainder earmarked for his future presidential library. CBS said in a statement that the money would not be paid to Trump “directly or indirectly,” reports Reuters. “The settlement does not include a statement of apology or regret,” the company added. As part of the deal, Paramount will release written transcripts of future 60 Minutes interviews with presidential candidates.
CBS originally described the suit as “completely without merit,” and legal experts widely thought CBS would win an eventual court battle. News organizations have broad discretion in editing, and CBS did not report anything factually inaccurate. The Times calls the settlement “an extraordinary concession to a sitting president by a major media organization.”

A Tennessee congressman is calling for President Trump’s face to be added to Mount Rushmore, urging federal officials to study the possibility of expanding the iconic monument to reflect what he calls a new chapter in American history. GOP Rep. Andy Ogles has penned a letter asking Interior Secretary Doug Burgum to conduct a feasibility study that would examine the technical, legal, and cultural implications of such an addition.
Ogles posted on X that Mount Rushmore “must evolve to reflect the full arc of American history” and argued that Trump would be a fitting addition. “Given the scale and scope of [his] recent achievements—especially the impending enactment of the Big Beautiful Bill, the historic act that will ignite America’s Golden Age—it is essential that we immortalize President Trump’s likeness on Mount Rushmore,” Ogles wrote Thursday.
