Providing Cover Again

Many Americans and especially some of the toads in Donny’s Merry Band of Thugs give as much cover as possible for the genocide and other atrocities that Israel commits almost daily.

Little Donny has once again puked up a lie to get people to stop talking about the food crisis in Gaza.

“I have a plan”

Earlier this week, President Trump said “there is real starvation in Gaza,” contradicting remarks from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. On Friday, Trump told Axios that he’s planning to do more about it. “We want to help people. We want to help them live. We want to get people fed. It is something that should have happened a long time ago,” he said. The leading international authority on food crises said Tuesday that the “worst-case scenario of famine is currently playing out” in Gaza.

  • Steve Witkoff, Trump’s Middle East envoy, visited a controversial aid distribution site in Gaza on Friday, the BBC reports. In a post on X, he said he visited the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation site at Trump’s direction to give the president “a clear understanding of the humanitarian situation and help craft a plan to deliver food and medical aid to the people of Gaza.”
  • Sites run by the US and Israeli-backed GHF replaced United Nations sites in May, but the UN and health officials say hundreds of people have been killed by Israeli fire while heading to the sites, the AP reports. On Friday, Human Rights Watch said the GHF was the central part of a “flawed, militarized aid distribution system that has turned aid distributions into regular bloodbaths.”
  • Witkoff was joined by Mike Huckabee, the US ambassador to Israel, who said the GHF sites were delivering more than a million meals a day in an “incredible feat.”
  • It’s not clear whether Trump’s plan will involve more backing for the GHF or a different aid delivery system. He told Axios that while he is concerned about starvation, he blames Hamas for stealing aid. In a post on Truth Social Thursday, he said, “The fastest way to end the Humanitarian Crises in Gaza is for Hamas to SURRENDER AND RELEASE THE HOSTAGES!!!”
  • Sources tell the Atlantic that Trump is starting to believe “what many in Washington have thought for months: Netanyahu is looking to prolong the conflict in Gaza, in open defiance of Trump’s wish for the war to end.” The sources say Trump and some of his aides believe Israel accomplished its military goals in Gaza some time ago and Netanyahu is seeking “to maintain his own political power.”

Ambassador Huckabee goes to Gaza and reports back that everything is A-ok…..

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee met with the U.S.-backed aid organization that’s been setting death traps for starving Palestinians.

Huckabee said Friday morning that he and special envoy Steve Witkoff visited Gaza to “learn the truth” about the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, or GHF, whose aid sites have become the locus of mass casualty events on a near-daily basis

The United Nations reported Thursday that at least 859 Palestinians have been killed while attempting to receive aid at GHF sites between May 27 and July 31, mostly by the Israeli military.

Huckabee seemed pleased after receiving a briefing from the Israeli military and meeting with GHF workers on the ground. “GHF delivers more than one million meals a day, an incredible feat!” Huckabee wrote in a post on X.

But GHF has now been implicated in hundreds of Palestinians deaths, as the widespread famine in Gaza worsens.

Why would anyone listen to this fake Christian asshole?

Anyone nay everyone can see that everything is NOT okay in Gaza….people are starving….this douche bag gives Christians a bad name.

For instance the lack of food distribution by an US and Israeli backed group, GHF…..the one the Huckabutt says if doing a good job…

Lt. Col. Anthony Aguilar, a retired US Army Green Beret who worked in Gaza at aid distribution sites run by the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), has blown the whistle on the operation and is speaking out about war crimes he witnessed the IDF commit.

Today, Tucker Carlson published an interview with Aguilar and he also appeared on Breaking Points with Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti.

For coming forward, Aguilar is being smeared by the GHF as a liar, and he addresses those claims in the Breaking Points interview. Carlson said he would have the former Green Beret back on his show next week for an in depth response to the allegations.

Huckabutt is a goddamn disgrace to his religion and to all of humanity…..someone help this ‘person’ (and I use the term lightly) retire and soon.

Americans working for a little known U.S.-based private military contractor have begun to come forward to media and members of Congress with charges that their work has involved using live ammunition for crowd control and other abusive measures against unarmed civilians seeking food at controversial food distribution sites run by the Global Humanitarian Fund (GHF) in Gaza.

UG Solutions was hired by the GHF to secure and deliver food into Gaza. The GHF, with the help of the PMCs claims to have provided nearly 100 million meals to Gaza. Israel put GHF in control of what used to be the UN-led aid mission.

The UN, however, has called the new model an “abomination” which “provides nothing but starvation and gunfire to the people of Gaza,” referring to the 1000 Gazans who have been killed near or at the GHF centers since May. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have been accused of shooting and shelling unarmed civilians. The American contractors say they have witnessed it and have been told to use live ammunition in their own crowd control efforts.

Another White House Ambush

If you will recall one of the first leaders to come to DC and meet with Donny for talks was Ukraine’s Zelenskyy….and Donny turned it into ambush on ZMan for the cameras.

Well sports fans he made sure the cameras were rolling when the leader of South Africa came calling…..,and the stage was set for another ambush of an international leader.

“They say there’s a lot of bad things going on in Africa. And that’s what we’re going to be discussing today,” President Trump said at the start of his Oval Office meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on Wednesday. Trump went on to claim that “genocide” was being committed in South Africa, with white farmers “executed” after having their land taken away. “I’d like to know where that is, because this I’ve never seen,” Ramaphosa said after Trump had the lights dimmed to show a video he said backed up the allegations, the Guardian reports. Trump also held up printouts of news stories, saying, “Death, death.” The BBC describes the playing of the video as an “ambush.”

According to the New York Times, members of the South African delegation, including golfer Ernie Els, “appeared flabbergasted as the video played.” The video showed the utterances, including “Kill the Boer,” of opposition politician Julius Malema, who has pushed for land expropriation. It also showed what Trump said were crosses marking the graves of thousands of white farmers. Ramaphosa calmly pushed back against the allegations, saying his minister of agriculture is white and “has joined my government at my invitation to address this very issue that you just raised.” South Africa has a high murder rate, but statistics show that white South Africans are not being killed at a higher rate than others.

The Times reports that Trump “appeared to calm down” after white South African billionaire Johann Rupert said “too many” people were being killed but “it’s not only white farmers” and US technology could help South Africa deal with the issue. Elon Musk was also present, but Trump said he didn’t want to get him involved. The BBC reports that the meeting—which some officials feared could have been an “unmitigated disaster”—was reminiscent of the Oval Office meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky in February, but unlike the Ukrainian leader, Ramaphosa “did not lose his composure.” Ramaphosa repeatedly tried to steer the conversation toward trade. At one point, he quipped, “I’m sorry I don’t have a plane to give you.” Trump replied, “I wish you did, I’d take it,” per the Hill.

It has been billed by the Trump group as “white genocide”.

Why lie, when you know the lie will be exposed as soon as you tell it? Because the lie is the point. The more blatant the lie, the more likely it will be repeated every time it is refuted. Repeat it enough times and the libel, no matter how vile, will stick with the audience you want to appease.

This explains the spectacle that unfolded in the White House this week, when Trump ambushed South African President Cyril Ramaphosa with a barrage of fake news stories and a manufactured video meant to advance the outrageous lie that black South African’s, with the connivance of the Republic of South Africa’s government, is engaged in a “white genocide” of Afrikaner farmers.

In his effort to humiliate South Africa’s president and portray himself as the champion of allegedly oppressed whites around the world, Trump went so far as to show photos of the burial site of black women who were raped and burned alive in the Congo and claimed it depicted the “burial site” of white farmers in South Africa.

It was all Elmo’s fault.

When the meeting inevitably blew up in Trump’s face, he tried to pin the entire White Genocide scam on Musk, who was standing at the back of the room: “Elon is from South Africa. I don’t want to get Elon involved. That’s all I have to do—get him into another thing. This is what Elon wanted.”

Like so much of Donny’s stuff it was a constructed lie….a lie about ‘white genocide’ and yet not a word about actual genocide going on under his watch….but I guess since they are brown people they are not nearly as important as fake whites.

This whole administration just keeps getting more and more phony.

The Armenian Genocide?

One hundred and six years Armenians have been waiting.

During the night of 23–24 April 1915, at the orders of Talat Pasha, hundreds of Armenian political activists, intellectuals, and community leaders—including many of Talat’s former political allies—were rounded up in Constantinople and across the empire. This order, intended to eliminate the Armenian leadership and anyone capable of organizing resistance, resulted in the torture and eventually murder of most of those arrested, who were forced to confess to a nonexistent Armenian conspiracy against the empire.

And so it began!

And some say 1.5 million Armenians died on this  removal.

Since the end of World War One the Armenians have been trying to get acknowledgement of the atrocities that were committed against the Armenian people…

For a hundred years American presidents have given the situation lip service….appears the Pres. Biden is about to change from lip service to action…..

As a candidate, Barack Obama promised to declare the slaughter of more than a million Armenians in the final years of the Ottoman Empire a genocide but failed to do so as president. President Biden made the same promise on the campaign trail, and sources tell the New York Times and CNN that he plans to keep it. The Times‘ sources say Biden plans to make the announcement on Saturday, when Armenians worldwide will mark the 106th anniversary of the beginning of a series of massacres and forced marches that killed an estimated 1.5 million Armenians, mostly in what is now Turkey. Measures recognizing the 1915-1923 killings as genocide passed the Senate unanimously and the House by a 405-11 vote in 2019.

If Biden does use the word genocide, it will be certain to anger Turkey, which maintains that the killings were not genocide and estimates the number of deaths at 300,000. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said this week that “if the United States wants to worsen ties, the decision is theirs.” Insiders say that while Biden might still change his mind before Saturday’s declaration, he has apparently decided that demonstrating America’s commitment to human rights is worth potentially damaging ties with Turkey. Dozens of other countries, most of them in Europe, have already declared that what happened was genocide.

Turkey will get all butt hurt over this decision by Biden…..and how will that effect the situation in the Middle East….is the next question.

Biden wants to show that the US stands up for human rights….well except in Israel….I say stand up for human rights for all or sit the Hell down and shut up.

But will this acknowledgement by the US be enough?

Where The Hell Is Armenia?

There has been a mash up against Turkey and its invasion of Syria.

For decades there has been a bill on the books condemning Turkey for the genocide of the Armenian people (1915-1926) and for many decades the US has refused to recognize the operation as a genocide…..but those days are falling by the wayside.

But before I go any further there needs to be a history lesson since there are very few survivors left alive…..

On the eve of World War I, there were two million Armenians in the declining Ottoman Empire. By 1922, there were fewer than 400,000. In all, 1.5 million Armenians were killed and another half million found shelter abroad after what is now considered the Armenian Genocide.

While WWI raged, the Young Turk government implemented a policy of Pan Turkism in order to save the remains of the weakened Ottoman Empire. Pan Turkism envisioned the establishment of a mega-Turkish Empire including all Turkic-speaking populations of the Caucasus and Central Asia extending to China. It also intended to Turkify all ethnic minorities of the empire. The Armenians were the main obstacle standing in the way of Pan Turkism. Although the elimination of Armenians from Western Armenia, or what is now Eastern Turkey, was planned as early as 1911, the Young Turk government found WWI to be the most suitable opportunity for implementation.

In the wake of two votes last week in the US House and Senate to recognise the massacres as genocide – a long-awaited symbolic victory for Armenians – Turkey’s authoritarian president Recip Tayyip Erdogan threatened to shut down Incirlik air base, which is based in Turkey and hosts US nuclear warheads..

Turkey is butt hurt and has gone to their favorite American, Trump, to stop this recognition from happening…..and like a dutiful puppy he did all, he could to make the master happy….

The Trump administration has said it does not consider the mass killings of Armenians in 1915 to be a genocide, contradicting a unanimous vote by the US Senate.

The historic vote last week incensed Turkey, which has always denied that the killings amounted to a genocide.

Turkey’s foreign ministry on Friday summoned the US ambassador to express its anger over the vote, accusing the US of “politicising history”.

Armenia says 1.5 million were killed in an effort to wipe out the ethnic group.

The killings took place in the waning days of the Ottoman Empire, the forerunner of modern-day Turkey.

Just like there are deniers of the Holocaust….we will always have those that will turn a blind eye to the systematic killing of a ethnic group……pathetic and cowardly to look the other way in the facfe of evidence.

Closing Thought–29Oct18

It seems that there is always a movie or show or book or documentary or……about the Holocaust.  Before I get some well meaning d/bag….the Holocaust happened and the world should not forget it and should make sure that something like that NEVER happens again.

Really?  Never again?

The problem is that it is happening again and the country committing the crimes is the every country that does not want the world to forget what happened to them.

Israel has policies against the Palestinian people similar to those that they ran away from in Europe.

But beyond their policies “back home”….they are supporting a country that is doing all they can to eliminate a ethnic group from their country….the country is Myanmar (Burma) and its deadly policies directed to the Muslim minority, the Rohingyas…..

Israel does not owe its existence to the genocide of the Jews during the Second World War but, without a doubt, the Holocaust played a significant role in speeding up the creation of the Zionist State. If nothing else, that happened in order to salve the world’s conscience for, whether we like to admit it or not, the rest of the world had a rough idea of what Adolf Hitler had planned for the Jews of Europe when he rose to power in 1933. Admittedly, few imagined that he would actually exterminate six million people, although the fact that European Jews were fleeing from their homes throughout that decade was an indicator of their very real and justified fears.

The Central British Fund for German Jewry was established in the 1930s to try and help those Jews living in Germany and Austria. It was through the Fund’s network that around 10,000 Jewish children arrived safely in Britain via the Kindertransport programme and were saved from the Nazis, unlike the parents they left behind, most of whom did not survive the Holocaust.

I have said on numerous occasions that Israel is acting no better than the pigs that persecuted them in the 1930’s and 40’s.

Plus the West, US and its allies, are acting as enablers of the deadly policies of Israel……timed for that to end.  Israel needs to stand on its own….if it cannot then it is NO problem of the US or its Allies.

After word…..one of the victims in the Pittsburgh shooting was a 90+ year old woman who was a Holocaust survivor……that is just not right.

Plus stop saying “thoughts and prayers”…that is disingenuous and insulting!

Rwanda: The Genocide

I am pleased to say that I am getting regular followers and readers from all over the world and recently I have had a loyal visitor from the East African country of Rwanda.

As my tradition I try to write posts from the country of my visitor as an appreciation for their loyal and their time.

An author has written a children’s book about those dark days of the genocide…….

One day in a Rwandan village, a girl called Mahoro became a close friend with a boy called Ntwali without knowing that their parents had an issue between them.

It is a fictional story told by Patrick Gihana, a Rwandan artiste and author in his new illustrative book, “Humura Mwana”, written specifically for children.

Mahoro, who fell in love with Ntwali whom they studied together in primary school, didn’t understand why their parents opposed this relationship which was not harmful at all.

Gihana’s book is written in simple language, using mostly cartoons than words. He narrates to children Rwandan history since the arrival of the colonialists until the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

This is a good thing for the best way to see that this type of genocide does not happen again is to educate children on the results.

Hopefully is small attempt will go a long way to preventing a occurrence of violence again.

Horrific American Roots

History is such a great teacher that I try to inject as much as I can into my blog, In Saner Thought…….we Americans having given the world many things since World War One…..many things and some are not so appealing.

Anyone with half a brain knows of the horrific situations within the Nazi concentration camps…..Ever thought about asking their eugenics programs were barbaric but where did such ideas coming from?

Hitler and his henchmen victimized an entire continent and exterminated millions in his quest for a co-called “Master Race.”

But the concept of a white, blond-haired, blue-eyed master Nordic race didn’t originate with Hitler. The idea was created in the United States, and cultivated in California, decades before Hitler came to power. California eugenicists played an important, although little known, role in the American eugenics movement’s campaign for ethnic cleansing.

Eugenics was the racist pseudoscience determined to wipe away all human beings deemed “unfit,” preserving only those who conformed to a Nordic stereotype. Elements of the philosophy were enshrined as national policy by forced sterilization and segregation laws, as well as marriage restrictions, enacted in twenty-seven states. In 1909, California became the third state to adopt such laws. Ultimately, eugenics practitioners coercively sterilized some 60,000 Americans, barred the marriage of thousands, forcibly segregated thousands in “colonies,” and persecuted untold numbers in ways we are just learning. Before World War II, nearly half of coercive sterilizations were done in California, and even after the war, the state accounted for a third of all such surgeries.

We Americans are experts at removing anything that we do not like to remember from our history.  This is something that needs to be remembered so that we would NEVER do it again.

Rwanda–24 Years Later

24 years ago the world turned its back on the African nation of Rwanda and the humanitarian crisis that ensued…..

I relive this event because of something that has happened in Rwanda…..

Mass graves that authorities say could contain more than 2,000 bodies have been discovered in Rwanda nearly a quarter-century after the country’s genocide, and further graves are being sought nearby. The new discovery is being called the most significant in a long time in this East African nation that is still recovering from the 1994 killings of more than 800,000 ethnic Tutsi and moderate ethnic Hutus. Some Rwandans are shocked and dismayed that residents of the community outside the capital, Kigali, where the mass graves were found kept quiet about them for so many years. Between 2,000 and 3,000 people are thought to be buried in the graves based on the number of area residents who went missing during the genocide, Rashid Rwigamba, an official with the genocide survivors’ organization Ibuka, tells the AP.

The information leading to the discovery came from a local landlord who at first refused to answer questions about the suspected mass graves until threatened with arrest, Rwigamba says. The landlord was later arrested, suspected of taking part in the killings and accused of knowing where people had been buried all along, he adds. Houses and toilets that had been built on top of the graves have been destroyed to make way for the search. “The exercise is ongoing and we have identified another house we suspect was built on a piece of land where victims were buried,” Rwigamba says. Bodies found so far include those of babies, based on the clothing that has been found. During the genocide, a roadblock manned by Hutu militias was established meters away from the sites of the mass graves, survivors tell the AP.

This is a chapter of American foreign policy that we had rather forget but some of us do not want us to forget the death of thousands that we could have helped and possibly prevented.

America talks a good game about human suffering but we do as little as possible to alleviate it….this is typical American foreign policy and it is about to get worse.

It demonstrates how the monstrosity of a crime a century old still divides and scorches the world. And it’s one more example of how digital technology is changing geopolitics at every level, from interfering with other nation’s elections to the current wave of ransomware cyberattacks and even the release of motion pictures.

Another beautiful Saturday and a day to kick back and enjoy some mental relief……

Movies.  What I will write about is the historical context of a new movie, The Promise….personally I NO longer make the trip to see movies in theaters…..I have a problem with the price and then there is the highway robbery from the “snack bar”…..These days I either rent or buy the movies I would like to watch……

I will probably get this movie simply because of the historic context……
