Open Letter To Trump Voters

Today is Tax Day…..so I will give you something to try and take your mind off of the hurt to come.

This is an open letter by S.E. Cupp, who is a conservative commentator but a conservative with a brain (very few of those lefty)…..she wrote this letter last week when Donny threatened to destroy Iran and their civilization.

Tuesday morning, the president of the United States threatened genocide against another nation, all because he does not know how to get out of a war he started to distract Americans from his terrible economy, disastrous immigration headlines, and attempts to bury the Epstein files.

“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” he wrote on Truth Social, the social network he had to create so he can say deranged things like this without being deplatformed.

“I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will,” he continues flippantly, suggesting that he will “probably” nuke a nation that just a month ago he was insisting he wanted to liberate.

In case it needs pointing out, this threat of genocide would be a war crime, as are the many threats he’s made to strike Iranian infrastructure like water and bridges.

So as we sit on the precipice of what could be NUCLEAR WAR, my question to Trump voters is this: what more are you willing to ignore?

What more are you willing to “compartmentalize” while you tell yourself this is all an acceptable bargain to get judges and tax cuts?

What indefensible, illiberal, un-American and inhumane garbage are you willing to defend in service of MAGA’s childish obsession with “owning the libs”?

How much more chaos, b.s., gaslighting, lying, grifting, incompetence and corruption are you willing to put up with?

And how much economic pain and destruction are you willing to suffer so that he can get rich and spend your taxpayer dollars bombing other countries, suing his political enemies, and building monuments to himself?

Ten years ago, Trump told us exactly who he was, and he’s been revealing himself ever since.

He was a bad person then. During campaign rallies and his presidency, you watched as he made fun of disabled people, prisoners of war, women, and children. You ignored it.

He was a bigot then. You watched as he defended neo-Nazis, called for travel bans against Muslims, called African countries “sh­-­hole nations,” denigrated Black and Brown communities in American cities, called Mexican immigrants rapists and murderers, called himself a nationalist and welcomed white supremacists into the party. You ignored it.

He was a misogynist then. You watched as the “Access Hollywood” tape came out, as woman after woman told their stories of rape and sexual assault, as the Epstein rumors swirled for years, as porn stars revealed their affairs, as he made fun of women’s faces and biology. You ignored it.

He was a fraud then. You watched every story about the fraudulent Trump University and Trump Foundation, stories of tax fraud, licensing scams, real estate fraud, contractor non-payment, election interference, and now crypto corruption. You ignored it.

He was a terrible Christian then. You watched as he repeatedly broke nearly every Commandment, every tenet of Judeo-Christian faith, all while corrupting the religious right to sell bibles with his name on them. You ignored it.

He was a terrible conservative then. You watched as he abandoned nearly every long-held conservative principle that Republicans had stood for, from lowering the debt and deficit, to anti-protectionism, to family values. You ignored it.

And he was a terrible leader then. You watched as he turned American against American, broke the trust of our allies, propped up our enemies, sent his own supporters down dangerous.

So what now? Does he need to nuke a nation to lose your trust and respect? Does he need to shoot someone in the middle of Fifth Avenue to test your moral compass? Does he need to bankrupt our country, destroy 250 years of American exceptionalism, undo 70-year-old international treaties, and start WWIII to get you to finally object to one more second of his unhinged lunacy?

If not now, when?

Schumer Proves How Useless Dems Have Become

For years I have been saying and writing about how useless Dems have become…..their major concern is money not the people they pretend to care about.

Now the Senate minority leader has proven my point….

Progressive critics of Senate Minority Chuck Schumer had fresh reasons to speak out Sunday after the powerful New York Democrat said that “one of many of [his] jobs” in the US Senate was to fight for ongoing taxpayer-funded military and financial assistance to the Israeli government, a position that has been the focus of growing protest among rank-and-file party members and the public at large in the face of Israel’s brutal genocide against the Palestinian people of Gaza.

“I have many jobs as [Senate] leader… and one is to fight for aid to Israel — all the aid that Israel needs,” Schumer said at a gathering of Jewish leaders and community members in New York on Sunday.

“I will continue to fight for it.,” Schumer continued. “We delivered more security assistance to Israel, our ally, than ever, ever before.”

According to Jacob Kornbluh, who provided footage of the remarks while reporting for The Forward, Schumer told the audience that his support for Jewish security funding will only continue growing under his leadership, calling it his “baby.”

“As long as I’m in the Senate,” Schumer said, “this program will continue to grow from strength to strength, and we won’t let anyone attack it or undo it.”

Warning Strong Words To Follow

Seriously you asshole….your job is not fucking Israel….your goddamn job is to serve this country not some sandy shithole half a world away.

This is the problem with congressional Dems….they are owned by lobbyists and special interests and we can thank that douchebag Clinton for this situation.

Time to take Schumer out and put him to pasture with the rest of the manure.

Trying To Make sense

For year now many people have been trying to make sense of the policies and actions Donny has taken….there have been a wealth of opinions…..but I read one that will make you think….

Donny’s actions start to make sense if one considers this one thing….

It can be hard to work out what might be going through Donald Trump’s head at the best of times, but lately his actions have seemed to be increasingly bizarre and reckless.

However, all of those actions become much easier to understand with one simple perspective shift: Trump knows he is dying, he doesn’t have much time, and he won’t have to face any consequences, at least not in this life.

Trump often doesn’t seem too stressed about consequences, and that’s felt especially true since he won the 2024 election. But over those four years out of office, he came close to facing very real consequences. He was tried and found liable and guilty in both civil and criminal court. It’s not unreasonable to suggest that he was well on his way to being bankrupt, imprisoned, or both. The only thing that saved him was the presidency.

If Trump leaves the White House again, he’ll be at risk of those consequences again, along with all the other ones that he has racked up over the last few months. While Steve Bannon has become the latest supporter of Trump seeking an unconstitutional third term, and Trump still refuses to rule that out, it starts to feel more likely that Trump will avoid walking out of the White House not by changing the Constitution, but by shuffling off his mortal coil while still in residence.

Trump’s health is clearly failing. He’s been seen struggling with stairs and has even mused that Obama was better at navigating them. His cognitive health might well be in decline, and his instances of random word association in public comments appear to be getting worse.

While Trump and his cronies claim that his medical reports generally show that he is in the finest health any person has ever been in, the number of those reports recently should raise an eyebrow. In early October, he had what he called a “semi-annual physical” at the Walter Reed National Medical Center. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt claimed it was a “routine yearly checkup.” The problem is that he already had his annual physical in April.

This Is Tucker Carlson?

I remember back in the day when Tucker had a nightly show on MNBC a time when I watched there was not much that I agreed with but from time to time I thought he made a few good points.  Then MSNBC kicked him to the curd and he circled the drain for awhile before sliding down the drain into the sewer that was FOX News then there was nothing coming from his mouth that was anything but sewer sludge….then FOX also kicked him to the curb and now he is wandering around searching for that audience he once had….

In the days after the blowhard was shot there has been a wealth of rhetoric especially from Little Donny Do-Little…..he is doing everything he can to subvert any opposition to his restrictive policies….

Then out of the dark Tucker shows up and once again let his thoughts be known….

Tucker Carlson’s volatile relationship with President Trump may have just cycled back to being a critical one, this time centered on the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk and the Trump administration’s reaction to it. The former Fox News host’s main beef: the government’s targeting of anyone criticizing Kirk in the wake of his death—a targeting that Carlson says infringes on Americans’ First Amendment rights, per the Independent. “You hope that a year from now, the turmoil we’re seeing in the aftermath of his murder won’t be leveraged to bring hate speech laws to this country,” Carlson said on a Wednesday edition of his online show, calling Kirk a “free speech champion.”

And if those laws do come to pass? “If that does happen, there is never a more justified moment for civil disobedience than that, ever,” Carlson noted. “And there never will be. Because if they can tell you what to say, they’re telling you what to think.” And at that point, “there is nothing they can’t do to you, because they don’t consider you human,” Carlson added, per Newsweek. “They don’t believe you have a soul.” The Independent notes that Carlson’s diatribe seemed to target Attorney General Pam Bondi more than Trump himself, after Bondi made comments suggesting the DOJ would target hate speech in America.

Carlson added of Bondi’s remarks that maybe she “didn’t think it through and was not attempting to desecrate the memory of the person she was purporting to celebrate.” The Latin Times notes that the US “does not have a ‘hate speech’ exception to the First Amendment, meaning most forms of such expression cannot be punished by the government.”

Once again I find myself agreeing with Tucker at least on this issue….

Time for civil disobedience is now.

I read this post in Moderate Voice and wanted to share it with the IST readers….

I don’t wish death on anyone. I’ve scolded more than one friend for posting in my comments on Facebook death wishes for Donald Trump. I don’t do that, and I don’t think liberals or Democrats should do it either. Let the other side be vile. Half of the reason I don’t want political opponents dead is that I don’t wish bad things to anyone. ANYONE. The other reason is that MAGAts would martyr the hell out of it if something happened.

When someone, a Republican, shot at Trump at one of his hate rallies, it pissed me off. When a man with a gun was found waiting to shoot Trump at one of his shitty golf resorts, it pissed me off again. I was shouting at my TV, “You’re hurting us more than helping, f—ers!” Violence leads to more violence. This was followed by the murder of Democratic state legislators in Minnesota.

I don’t wish bad crap to happen to bad people, but when it does, I don’t go all thoughts-and-prayers about it. Even if I did care about those people, I know that thoughts and prayers don’t work. Even when their own are murdered by guns, the thoughts-and-prayers crowd never tries to find solutions other than suggesting stupid ideas like giving teachers guns.

Then to give another side to this story….

There are so many words and cliches condemning the killing of Charles James Kirk, and none of the refrains are unique. “We need to dial back our discourse”, “we need to be tolerant of different opinions,” and “there is no room in American politics for political violence.” Are people blind to the realities that have been swirling all around us? The language has been violent. The discord has been great. There has been a consistent invitation to dine at the table of heated racist discussion posing as legitimate political speech.

The killing of Charlie Kirk fits within this arena of speech that is racist and hate-filled, but is designed to pose as rational and logical political speech. In his rhetoric and so-called debate style this 31-year-old evangelical firebrand of the right has stated that Black pilots were incompetent, Gays should be stoned, ironically he was opposed to gun control, abortion, LGBTQ rights, criticized the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Martin Luther King Jr., promoted Christian nationalism, advanced COVID-19 misinformation, made false claims of electoral fraud in 2020, and is a proponent of the Great Replacement conspiracy theory.

Words have consequences….while I do not condone this type of political expression I do see how we got to this spot in our history.

There is only so much hate that can be passed around before someone takes some sort of misguided action.

I will mourn but not for this guy…..I mourn for what has become of my country that use to be called ‘the beacon of freedom’.

Is A Collapse Imminent?

***This is just an FYI post I do not necessarily agree and is only one person’s opinion/prediction***

Social media has been alight with comments flying back and forth on Dear Donny’s health issues and/or his mental health…..and this is Alex Jones’ prediction…..

Famed conspiracy theorist Alex Jones commented on the “crisis” Donald Trump faces as his health continues to visibly decline.

On Wednesday, August 20, Jones spoke about the president on his “Infowars” podcast, where he suggested Trump could face deadly consequences if he “doesn’t take his foot off the gas pedal” and get much-needed rest.

He insisted that “at the current trajectory” of Trump’s health, the president “is going to have some sort of collapse within the next 12 months.”

As Trump’s swollen ankles and bruised hand continue to raise concern, Jones compared the 79-year-old to a “light bulb starting to go out.”

“I’ve seen a lot of signs of Trump declining,” he said. “And so he’s on a lot of the time, but like a light bulb is starting to go out. It gets brighter, it gets dim; it goes in and out.”

Jones commented on Trump’s notorious late nights, suggesting that if he took the necessary rest, he would be in better health.

“He’s hyper-competitive and hyper-aggressive. So, you talk about in the zone, folks. It’s fair to say that Trump is unconscious, basically, for periods of the day now,” he stated. “Because there are times where I’m exhausted and working entirely on adrenaline, up for two days, and I make pretty good decisions — sometimes better than when I’m conscious — but I think back and I don’t remember what I did.”

FUBAR!

A familiar term for anyone that served in the military.

There is so much happening in America these days and most of us are trying to work through the silliness and the out right hatred for so many of our institutions….

I read an article that I found interesting and thought provoking and decided that I would share and see what people think….

As a retired U.S. Air Force officer, I firmly believe in civilian control of our military. This country should be a nation of laws — not of special interests, oligarchs, or kings. Before committing our forces to battle, Congress should always declare war in the name of the people. Our military should indeed be a citizen-soldier force, not an isolated caste driven by a warrior ethos. And above all, the United States should be a republic ruled by law and shaped by sound moral values, not a greed-driven empire fueled by militarism.

Yet when I express such views, I feel like I’m clinging to a belief in the tooth fairy, the Easter Bunny, and Santa Claus. It feels idealistic, naïve, even painful to think that way. Yes, I served this country in uniform for 20 years, and now, in the age of Donald Trump, it has, as far as I can tell, thoroughly lost its way. The unraveling began so long ago — most obviously with the disastrous Vietnam War of the 1960s and 1970s, though in truth this country’s imperial desires predated even the Spanish-American War of 1898, stretching back to the wanton suppression of indigenous peoples as part of its founding and expansion.

A glance at U.S. history reveals major atrocities: the displacement and murder of Native Americans, slavery, and all too many imperial misadventures abroad. I knew of such realities when I joined the military in 1985, near the end of the Cold War. Despite its flaws, I believed then that this country was more committed to freedom than the Soviet Union. We could still claim some moral authority as the leader of what we then referred to as “the free world,” however compromised or imperfect our actions were.

That moral authority, however, is now gone. U.S. leaders fully support and unapologetically serve an ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza. They sell weapons to nearly every regime imaginable, irrespective of human rights violations. They wage war without Congressional approval — the recent 12-day assault on Iran being just the latest example. (The second Trump administration has, in fact, launched almost as many air strikes, especially in Yemen and Somalia, in its first five months as the Biden administration did in four years.) Those same leaders have been doing a bang-up job dismantling the America I thought I was serving when I took that oath and put on second lieutenant’s bars four decades ago. That America — assuming it ever existed — may now be gone forever.

Conflict Of Interests

I have been writing about the antics of Donny and his merry band of goons and it amazes me to see how many people either are fucking ignorant or just do not care as long as he, Donny, is not a Democrat that they would allow these offenses to go unchallenged.

Before I get some lame ass comments about the antics of Dems in the past, which I am sure someone will just have to show their hatred for the party…..let me say address the subject of this post if they cannot fucking do that then please go back top sitting around in your MAGA hat drinking cheap beer and hating everything that is not Trumpian.

Since January Donny has been doing nothing that does not personally benefit him or the Trump Organization which is shit….for until dipshit showed up and conned the idiot voters his personal finances were put into blind trust until he left office….which in my opinion is one fucking good idea.  Donny is in pursuit of personal enrichment at the expense of the rest of us poor fucking peons.

But that fucking said let’s look at the conflict of interests that this ‘person’ is doing almost daily.

This list was compiled by the magazine the Week….and please no one in their right fucki8njg mind could accuse this publicat6ioon of being Leftist….if you do then you are illustrating your goddamn ignorance.

President Donald Trump has been at the center of ethics concerns going all the way back to his 2016 candidacy, largely as a result of his strong business ties that critics say could represent significant conflicts of interest. These conflicts, many of which have to do with his Middle East dealings, have continued to cast a shadow over his presidency amid his second term in the White House.

Not to worry the unit that investigates corruption and breach of ethics has been disbanded thus making these self centered assholes free to self enrich at the cost of the nation as a whole.

To pick a single topic or issue to place your vote on is once the fucking stupidest thing I have ever seen in my many years.  You are placing the future of this country in jeopardy because you hate immigrants or gays or women or whatever single issue invades your tiny mind….in other words as long as your chosen leader feeds your biases then the rest of the country can go fuck itself.

Was That The Last ‘Super Bowl’?

This is just something to think about while you go along in your cloud.

In case you were under a rock, which where I wish I had been, then you know the Eagles won the Super Bowl by a bunch…..after more than a month of force feeding the public everything football it mercifully came to a close and is in the history books…..but is it possible that it could be the last ‘Super Bowl’?

No I am not going on about getting rid of America’s favorite game….I am talking about a change in title….after all Trump seems to be on a roll renaming stuff like the Gulf of Mexico then why not the Super Bowl?

This is an op-ed that I read in USAToday…..

Well, I hope everybody enjoyed America’s last-ever Super Bowl. Come this time next year, I imagine the NFL’s signature event will be a thing of the past, replaced by something President Donald Trump deems more … him.

Surely the Philadelphia Eagles shellacking of the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans on Sunday night was a turnoff for the new president. It featured the team from the more liberal city winning while Trump’s preferred team lost. (Perhaps he can get the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Philly’s victory.)

More important, the Super Bowl featured people paying attention to things that are not Trump. And that, based on the early actions of this president’s regime, is not acceptable.

Taking all of this into account, tell me you’d be surprised if Trump decided do away with what he’d undoubtedly call the “woke, Marxist, lame Super Bowl” and replace it with “The Donald Trump MAGA-America Bowl, brought to you by The Trump Organization.”

The guy has already declared that the Gulf of Mexico is going to be renamed “Gulf of America.” How could the hijacking of an American sports tradition be any less likey.

The Trump MAGA-America Bowl would be held at a Trump-owned property and feature NFL teams from whichever two cities purchased the most $Trump cryptocurrency coin.
