The run for the Democratic nomination is officially over……and the person that was saying all the right stuff for us peasants has just sold out…
Bernie has made it official….he will support Hillary…..
With Hillary Clinton enthusiastically nodding and clapping by his side, Bernie Sanders appeared Tuesday at a high school in Portsmouth, NH, and finally offered what many Democrats have been waiting for: an endorsement, USA Today reports. “Secretary Clinton … will be the Democratic nominee for president and I intend to do everything I can to make certain she will be the next president of the United States,” he asserted, going on to “make it as clear as possible as to why I am endorsing Hillary Clinton and why she must become our next president.” He detailed some of those bullet points (also on his website), including that Clinton is the best candidate to take on an “economy … that is rigged”; appoint Supreme Court justices who will fight for women, minorities, and the LGBT community; address mental health treatment and climate change; and work toward universal health care, among others.
Sanders also blasted Donald Trump for his vocal opposition to raising the minimum wage, his eagerness to “abolish the Affordable Care Act,” and his decision to “reject science” on climate issues. He also addressed Trump’s insults against “Mexicans, Muslims, women, African-Americans, and veterans,” noting that Clinton “understands that our diversity is one of our greatest strengths.” “Hillary Clinton will make an outstanding president and I am proud to stand with her today,” he concluded, hugging Clinton before she took the podium to speak. Trump, meanwhile, wasn’t as impressed with the endorsement, tweeting Tuesday that he was “surprised that Bernie Sanders was not true to himself and his supporters ” and that Sanders, “who has lost most of his leverage, has totally sold out to Crooked Hillary Clinton.”
Bernie has stabbed all the true progressives in the back…..his message was still a good one….but when he cops out and plays the game he has lost my respect….he will be marginalized now…just what Clinton was hoping for….she can run amok now with NO interference.
A truly sad day.

Bernie sold out to protect his spot in the Senate
While it’s certainly sad and premature…
1) Unlike all those Republican idiots & pussies who just handed Trump the victory, Bernie ran right to the end of the Primaries. This despite being continuously hounded to drop out by almost everybody.
2) Bernie NEVER had ANY actual chance of beating the Hillary-Tron 2016. This race was essentially over when she left the State Department to ensure there would be no race for the 2016 nomination. This was over long before you could even legally declare you were in.
And Bernie knew it. He went through all this shit for no other reason than to advance the democratic socialist cause. And he did. Why else would you bern one of the last years left in your perpetually miserable life on a hopeless run? Dude probably shortened his life by at least 5 years! He might even be dead by election day.
But why would he endorse the Hillary-Tron 2016?
1) Timing aside, this was ALWAYS going to happen. He’s a Democrat and you’re kinda expected to endorse the party’s candidate, if you want to stay in the party. And at his age, consolidating his moral victory means sticking around to nurture Lefty candidates who advanced in the party by riding Bernie’s Primary coattails. I don’t know how many left-leaning Democrats beat out right-leaning ones for “down ticket” nominations, but I’m pretty damn sure quite a few did that never would’ve without Bernie. And I’m sure moving the party leftward was Bernie’s main goal all along…creating a socialist version of the Teabaggers that would take over the party.
Not endorsing Hillary would leave them swinging in the wind. Endorsing the Hillary-Tron 2016 may piss off many Lefties, but it will mean more Lefties will get into voting booths in the fall than would otherwise. Some will vote Green. Others will vote Hillary. Either way, “down ticket” lefty Democrats will stand a better chance. Just having more Democrats in Congress increases the odds of something positive happening in Washington (or anything happening at all!)
2) President Trump. Who wants to be forever known as the guy who made that possible? Because he and his movement would unquestionably be blamed and would be thoroughly purged.
3) He’s trying to avoid “payback” in the form of getting Primaried, getting NSA-ed, or getting hit by a drone. And don’t laugh! Payback is a bitch and Hillary-Tron is one vengeful bitch! Just wait till she’s sworn in. Bernie made her look incredibly weak and very beatable, the worst sin of all. So he’s got to do the bare minimum and drop to one, crippled, arthritic, knee in front of her….or else!
He is just protecting his place in the Senate…hate to lose all that senority…he copped-out
While I mentioned that in the “Payback” section above, I totally disagree with the “just” part. Yeah, it’s a sweet gig. And going by his taxes, it’s an income Bernie needs to keep. (Shit, the dude can’t even afford a comb!) And it’s also the last paying job he’ll ever have. Because unlike every other politico, there ain’t NO corporate board in his future! So even if it’s his #1 reason, you can only judge him (or anyone else in modern America) so harshly for trying to keep his job.
After all, Bernie could have easily held that Senate seat for the rest of his life (which would be at least 5 years longer than it’s going to be now) by copping out and just not running for the nomination at all, thus allowing the Hillary-Tron 2016 to follow the coronation script to the letter….and pull more corporate Democrats along with her. If Bernie actually wanted to “sell out”, he’d have spent the last year doing speeches for Gold Mansacks. If he starts doing that, I’ll agree with you.
Remember, even if he miraculously won, Bernie was NEVER going to be allowed to win this thing. Even if it required a “lone crazed gunman”. So he was ALWAYS going back to his Senate seat. Bernie’s not a delusional idiot like Little Marco, who actually thought he was going to win. This time next year, “President Marco” will be living in his mom’s basement and making ends meet by turning tricks in alleys behind Miami gaybars. (First Lady Marco?)
Let’s not negate the unbelievable “moral victory” achieved against the unstoppable Hillary-Tron 2016.. Yes, his timing was off and it hurts him. But unless you wanted him to literally (or is that figuratively?) eat his gun in an act of Revolutionary Suicide during his convention speech ….. this was always how it was going to end.
“Stabbing progressives in the back”, while understandable, is unnecessarily harsh. Especially as it’s the standard operating procedure for post-Raygun Democrats.
I saw that Bernie supporters are looking hard at Dr. Stein of the Green Party….we will see…
