Bernie-crats–A Do Over?

It is all but official that one Hillary Clinton will become the nominee for the Democratic Party (to the chagrin of many)…..we are only waiting for the convention for the official tally.

The big story is that there is some concern that many of the Bernie-crats will not support the Dems nominee…..plus the media is waiting for official word that Bernie will endorse Clinton…..but what if he does not choose to do so…..is there another possibility that could unfold?

You bet your ass there is…….

Bernie Sanders has been invited to continue his underdog bid for the White House by the Green party’s probable presidential candidate, who has offered to step aside to let him run.

Jill Stein, who is expected to be endorsed at the party’s August convention in Houston, told Guardian US that “overwhelming” numbers of Sanders supporters are flocking to the Greens rather than Hillary Clinton.

Stein insisted that her presidential bid has a viable “near term goal” of reaching 15% in national polling, which would enable her to stand alongside presumptive nominees Clinton and Donald Trump in televised election debates.

I will offer my take on this……I think that Bernie will turn down the invitation….he wants to protect the democrats as best he can…..he may not like the system but he is a cog in that system.

Anyone else like to comment on the possibility?

  1. Bernie promised that he AND his wifie would back Hill. Bastard, he could run green but actually there is a pretty good candidate…not gonna do it but hell, not bad, i await more posts.

    Bernie could run as a progressive with a write-in campaign but evidently he is not going to. So for my minuscule protest, I’m either writing him in….or myself!

    NOW, there is a really scary prospect. VOTE FOR dru, SHE IS COMPLETELY UNSUITED AND THEREFORE MIGHT MAKE SOME ASSHOLE SORT OF DIFFERENCE~ ~~me~~

    If nominated, I will run….if elected, I will serve. Chuq foreign adviser, Penn is my domestic everything…we’ll figure out the citizenship thing later. Dubi is my VP, Wanderer is in charge of media, I think “HE who will not obey” should have some sore to diplomatic post….preferable somewhere that keeps him for at least a few weeks….blah blah blah and lets me visit and drink gin……Jon Steward will have some very important position as well as Craig Ferguson….David Letterman ditto but not that person from the tonight show with hair that is begining to look like Trump’s. Oh and I almost forgot. Who is that WWII guy that hates me??? WC or something…he will be inc harge of ally the Pentagon. Better the enemy known and sometimes (read often) I even agree with him.

    GAWD, there is months of this to come………sigh……the sad kind not the snarky Irish Kind. ~~dru~~

  4. I’m with saywhatumean2say. I’m writing Bernie in, and voting down ticket progressive, liberal dems. Or, maybe Jill Stein. I’m still researching whether I can vote Green in my state. I like Dr. Stein, and I admire her for trying to open her ticket to Bernie. But, nah, Bernie won’t do it. He’s obligated to fight for the dems now. Too bad he didn’t run as an Indie, eh?

    2. HI yah Lis, it…as you well know….is sister dru. I’m kinda mad at our Bern. He can go to the convention, make ’em do a real count, work on the platform but then switch hit. He is Progressive not really a Demo and he is disappointing me. Hell that screwball Trump would be a bigger change than Hill. And as I’ve said before….there is always suicide! Love you as always and August is coming so about time to get into CyAnts mode.

      Hey did you every finish that Sestina? I’d like a look see if you did make it all the way through. I never did but it turns out I’m kind of a dab hand at the old haiku. Doesn’t take much intelligence that and no real form either; 5, 7, 5…i mean who can’t do that.
