War, Peace, and Bernie Sanders

I will admit it…I am an unashamed “peace-nik” and the person I vote for must have an agenda that includes the possibility for peace and prosperity…..so far most of the candidates show me nothing more than arms of the M-IC…..and that includes both parties……

As it is today….there is NO one in the GOP that would make me more optimistic that our involvement in foreign conflicts would be diminished……….

Recently the vice chair of the DNC, Tulsi Gabbard, has resigned her position with the DNC and endorsed Bernie Sanders…..I like her….she is a war vet and has an excellent head on her shoulders…..she resigned from the DNC because her chairperson is a die-hard Clinton supporter and has done nothing for the other candidates in her party…..

I will be watching her because she has a real problem with the M-IC and its influence on politic and internationally…..I like that!  Someone has got to take on the “fat cats” in the M-IC…..someone has got to let the public know what all the profiteering is doing to the fabric of this country……I am pleased to see that a woman has stepped up and accepted the challenge.

Her endorsement has come to Bernie at the time when he needs for others to stand up to the M-IC and to help get the message out to the voting public……recently an article in the LA Progressive had an excellent piece on this situation…..

She made an excellent point when she said…….

“War is a very real thing,” she said. “If the Syrian war continues, we won’t have the resources to fund important social programs. This isn’t a question of the past — it’s a question of today. Regime-change wars do nothing to strengthen our national security, but they do strengthen our enemies.”

AMEN!  And now the American people need to see what all this interventionism is doing to the world and this country……

Plus Rep. Gabbard is the perfect example of a strong woman to be mentioned during Women’s History month….

  1. I agree that The U.S. should stop all the interventionism crap because it accomplishes absolutely nothing except lending more force to the idea that America could bankrupt Herself with continous war. (Take a look at ancient Greece and Rome for examples.). Expansive interventionism costs a s**t-load of money …. money that we don’t really have. But an era of “Peace?” — Not at all possible unless we also become Isolationists.
