Sir Mix-a-lot singing in my head…………
My weekend continues and I am having a relaxing two days….doing some gardening, some running around and some just plain laziness….It is wonderful!
I am always amazed at the lengths people will go to to feed their vanity…boob jobs, tummy tucks, face lifts, Botox, …..are we so worthless because our self-esteemed is tied to our looks?
I was in a gym a few years back to pick up my father who was rehabbing from a stroke….while I waited I watched a guy bench press a small VW….when finished he yelled and look at me and asked…..I can do 310 what about you? I looked at him and replied….”READ A BOOK”.
Any way I digress….I read something the other day that made me just chuckle…even though it was tragic …..I could not help myself……
A New Jersey woman has been charged with second-degree manslaughter and first-degree assault after administering a fatal silicone injection. Tamira Mobley, 28, who says she is a beautician, injected silicone into the buttocks of college student Tamara Blaine, 22, in a pay-by-the-hour New York hotel room. The July procedure was the fourth in a year, the New York Times reports. This time, the silicone entered Blaine’s bloodstream, an autopsy found, resulting in embolisms and asphyxiation. She had a seizure and died in the hospital. Blaine was charged yesterday, and a criminal complaint says she injected “numerous other women, over the course of two years,” with help from Internet advertising. It’s the latest in a string of similar cases that often see industrial silicone—”the stuff you are taking to grease your garage door with,” says a plastic surgeon—injected into the buttocks. In another sad note, after a month of searching, Blaine’s mother apparently only discovered her daughter’s death from the hospital bill, DNAinfo reports. “When I lost her, nobody helped me,” says Lola Blaine.
A sad report….but you know it does not surprise me in the least……and that is the truly sad part….I expect stupid in the name of vanity.
“are we so worthless because our self-esteemed is tied to our looks?”
It is the job of cosmetic marketers to make you believe this is so. What a really sad way to die.
Yep….people are not allowed to be themselves….they must look like someone else…thruly sad.
Love the title. All I can say is, “Me too”.
The best title I could think of for butt injections….LOL
