First You May See It And Now You Won’t

There has been a mash-up on social media and the news about Pistol Pete’s announcement that the firing squad death of the Ft. Hood attacker would be televised….personal I think it is a disgusting idea and apparently I am not alone….

Americans may be divided on how Nidal Malik Hasan should die, but they’re far more aligned on one thing: they don’t want it broadcast. A Washington Post/ABC News/Ipsos poll finds 53% back executing the Fort Hood shooter by firing squad and 42% oppose it—yet about 80% reject the Pentagon’s plan to livestream the December 3 execution. Opposition spans most political and demographic groups, including many who support the death sentence itself.

Ninety-one percent of Democrats, 64% of Republicans, and 83% of independents say “no” to a broadcast, as do about two-thirds of veterans, per the Post. Even 55% of MAGA supporters oppose the livestream; MAGA Republican men are the lone subgroup that leans toward streaming, with 57% in favor. A separate YouGov poll that asked about public execution livestreams without referencing Hasan’s case finds 69% of Americans opposed, including 87% of Democrats, 52% of Republicans, and 67% of independents.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and President Donald Trump say public viewing would underscore the consequences of such violent crimes; critics warn it could fuel extremist propaganda. One political independent polled by Ipsos also worries it would cause an international uproar, per the Post. As of Tuesday, the Pentagon said the livestream was going ahead and “details will follow,” per ABC News.

Like I said….DISGUSTING idea.

Someone was listening for I do not think it was Donny but the news came out….

President Trump just overruled his defense chief about a livestreamed execution. Trump announced on Truth Social on Thursday that the death of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan in December will not be publicly available as a livestream. Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth had previously announced plans to stream the firing squad execution, but the idea quickly ran into bipartisan opposition, which some critics calling it barbaric and others fearing it might turn Hasan into a martyr. CBS News reports that one factor is that Trump learned belatedly that Hasan was paralyzed from the waist down during the attack.

“I think streaming the execution for all to see might have been a strong deterrent for the World to witness how America deals with Terrorists and SCUM like Hasan but, many very good and well meaning people would rather not watch him die, through streaming, or through any other visual device,” wrote Trump. “He will die, as scheduled, by firing squad, but this event will not be streamed.” Family members of Hasan’s victims will be allowed to witness his death, Trump added.

That is some of the best news that has come out of Donny’s lying mouth….but now I wonder whose idea it was to cancel the fiasco….certainly was not Pistol Pete’s nor Donny’s….someone with money whispered in the ear is my thought.

Is there any anything else?

  1. Hegseth is definitely going to record it. He will not livestream it, but I am convinced he will still want it recorded. Then perhaps someone could ‘leak’ that recording.

    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. Mid-terms are 2 weeks away. I’m sure someone with an actual brain said televising this was an absolutely bad idea and would backfire in epic fashion. Cancelling the event was merely a stemming of the bleeding from the GOP that is likely to lose a lot of seats in both the house and senate. I definitely would NOT have watched it if the event was televised.

  3. even it were broadcast, I am certain that some of the networks would rather put a ballgame on instead or would refuse to broadcast it altogether or would broadcast it to the point that the rifles fire and then block and blue the rest of the image… which would not sit well with those who love violence…and even then because America has become normalized to the tragedies caused by guns, broadcasting it would achieve nothing at all. As for me, if i were to watch– which i will not — I would be put off by constant commercial breaks leading up to the event– the media could draw the who event out for several hours as the fill heir pockets with advertising revenue on this one. I do not want to watch an execution where in the final instant, the scene is hidden behind the same kind of electronic fuzz bubble that some networks use to hide naked rear ends of people who are scantily clothed or not clothed at all… like on some of those fake remote adventure things they produce and air. Besides which, if I wanted to watch people tied to stakes getting shot, there are plenty of home movies like “Inglorious Bastards” to satisfy the longings of even the most advanced sadists among us.

  4. Typically loud-mouthed Donald Trump’s silence is deafening with respect to the historic, ongoing legal case being played out in the Netherlands.

Schoolyard (Earth) bully Donald Trump and his fellow Epstein Class eugenicist mass murder criminals have a very serious problem to deal with in the Netherlands, making it clear why none of the absolute degenerates are commenting on their “problem”. In particular, the silence is deafening with regard to Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu.

The ongoing legal case there presents/provides the very real promise of stopping these hideous mass murderers, – finally, once and for all.

    The whole world is watching.

    Peace.
