Now is the time for the pathetic parasites in Congress to go on a much needed rest after the grueling 3 weeks since their return from their month long 4th of July break….it is time for them to go back home a drop to their knees for the donors and to pretend that they are a caring bunch to the voters…….
To say this Congress is a do nothing Congress would be an understatement……these people have passed exactly 22 bills since it went into session….and that my friends is the least amount of work ANY Congress has ever done to date……
All this makes me think that Plato was onto something……when after the death of his teacher and mentor, Socrates he wrote in his work The Republic that democracy was as a mutinous crew…..”the ship’s captain is locked up, the navigator ignored and the crew has ears only for the foolish words of the their demagogue leader who just promises them what they want.” Basically saying…..”is leadership by the stupid, who make unrealizable promises to the ignorant……” sounds pretty accurate if you read some of the crap published as fact.
Like I said this institution is becoming more of a joke than anything and before they run home to massage the genitalia of the donors they had to have one more vote……
Instead of passing a jobs plan or doing something else even mildly useful, Republicans the House of Representatives spent today on another pointless vote to repeal Obamacare — the 40th such vote to deny the security of quality, affordable health coverage to millions of Americans. This dead-end effort has cost taxpayers more than $50 MILLION and wasted countless hours of time that could’ve been spent focusing on creating jobs or helping the middle class.
Did you see the cost? $50 million?
By now the clowns are home and performing for the masses (the ignorant)……..sad that there is not more people challenging these parasites on their lies……Speaker of the House of Representatives, Boehner, recently said….”that success is not measured by the bills passed but rather by the bills repealed”…..few bills passed and nothing repealed….so no matter how you look at it these people are losers and fools……..
Voltaire has one of my favorite quotes…..”anyone that has the power to make you believe absurdities has the power to make you commit injustices”………..

I like your writing … it’s definitely more “saner” than most left-leaning folks I’ve encountered. Be not mistaken though. The Republicans in the House have no intentions of repealing Obama-care. The 40 (and counting) votes to repeal are nothing but a show; an opportunity for those Republicans to be able say they voted to repeal Obama-care, “but alas”, to no avail. If they were serious about stopping it they easily could simply block funding for it, which all spending bills must originate in the House.
I know, I know, “that might shut down the government!” but be not deceived, that does not shut down essential segments of the government. Social Security checks still go out, food stamps, the military still gets paid, law enforcement etc.
Anyway, I do agree this Congress is about as lame and corrupt as ever, and John Boehner is a joke. Sadly a joke on conservatives.

Thanx for the kind words….I would stop messing with the Repubs if they would do anything that was at least an attempt to help the country recover. What the Congress is doing is not governing but rather something close to embezzlement of taxpayer’s funds….
