From the VOMITORIUM
For years I have bitched and bitched about the work ethic of our so called “representatives”……..they have Monday and Friday as travel days….so they work 3 days a week…..do not forget all the holidays and such in between…….
But the new Congress has surpassed the do nothings of the past…..check out their work schedule for this year…….house.gov/house/House_Ca……
They work 2 weeks and have one week off…….now there is a sweet gig by any stretch of the imagination……..how m,any Americans would love to have that schedule and get the same pay and benfits as these slackers?
Does it not seem like that the problems the country is facing that these lazy a/holes should be working a little harder to find solutions….after all that is what we pay them for…..not to lounge around the house and collect cash from their sponsors……
American people need to wake and smell the steaming pile of crap that they elect…….time after time!
Actually, I think many difficulties might disappear if the devious bastards stayed away altogether – in my experience, politicians tend to create more problems than they solve.
But then we might look a lot like Egypt…….
Right – but without Mubarak. So, what’s your problem with that?
A better question would be ” just why are we paying for “….is this taxation without representation?
More like representation without taxation…NO way to pay for programs….
I quite agree – why indeed… Chuq believes in the system (with major modification), whereas I believe it is unfixable and barely worth discussing in the longer term.
Did you see the schedule? Hell of a work sched, huh?
Yes, but you and I would probably do the same if we could – I’ve said many times – don’t blame the people, blame the broken system…
But this is the schedule that the new Repub Congress set up for themselves…..
Of course it is – THAT is your system!
Since they work for us, shouldnt we write the schedule?
Or better yet…..piece work…they get paid by the bill that they pass……just think of the cash we would have saved over the years……
You don’t want to encourage them to pass MORE bills for crissake!
Actually I do….maybe they would get around to the ones that really matter instead of playing parliamentary games….
No they wouldn’t…
Sadly, you are most likely correct…..
@Phillip YES!
