Why Vote For Her?

From the VOMITORIUM

Let me see if I have this about right?  Some of the candidates on this election (2010) want the government out of our lives altogether….right?  But do they really?

Neweser is reporting:

The Delaware Senate candidate opposed to masturbation who first looked like a joke has become Sarah Palin’s latest fair-haired girl. Palin has officially endorsed Christine O’Donnell in her primary race against long-time GOP congressman Mike Castle, Slate reports. Palin met with O’Donnell last month after critics viciously attacked the candidate on her lack of experience and positions, highlighting her opposition to masturbation because the Bible thumper believes “lusting in your heart” during masturbation is the same as adultery.
Democrats are more than a little gleeful that GOP and right-wing infighting may be splitting the vote on their side of the aisle, giving the Dems a boost in the general election. Castel responded to Palin’s endorsement by emphasizing the primary will be decided by “grassroots Republican voters here in Delaware, not out-of-state interest groups who are working to control the outcome.” The Castle campaign has filed an FEC complaint against O’Donnell, charging an “illegal scheme” to coordinate donations with the Tea Party Express.

I have spent decades trying to understand why people vote as they do……it is disheartening….there is little logic or for that matter rationale in the voting habits of Americans.

The type of person in the story above is one of those people that I find amusing…..they hate government involvement into our lives yet they want to involve government in our personal lives….where is the logic in that?

I stand by my belief that whatever I do to myself and that it does not harm anyone else then it is NONE of anybody’s business…if these types of people want the government out of their lives then I say get them ALL the way out….STOP trying to legislate morality!

  1. Of course. Morals are entirely personal. For instance, I would call the position of people like O’Donnell and Sarah Palin both UNCHRISTIAN and IMMORAL – it’s just a point of view and would be no one’s business but their own if they want to live a stupid little outdated and pathetic fairyland of their own – EXCEPT that THEY are public figures running for office and THAT makes it EVERYONE’S business – even non-Americans like me!

Who would you prefer, Clinton with a box of Havanas and a bit of totty on the side, or Palin and O’Donnell trying to devise a test for masturbation. God help us all (if only he, she, or it existed)?!

    👿

    1. Personally….I want to here how these twits plan to fix the country’s economy and that has NOTHING to do with “who flogs their jolly”…….

  2. Damn right masturbation is a problem! Any gal that rather play with herself, than have fun with a hobo is making life worse for us hobo types. I like a gal, that rather have sex the old fashioned way, with a guy!

  3. How is she trying to legislate morality? She believes something is immoral, but it doesn’t look like she’s trying to draft up a bill to criminalize your relationship with Ms. Rosy Palmer.

    1. My point? NONE OF HER F*CKING BUSINESS who does what to herself/himself and NONE of my business what she thinks. ….she should keep her preferences to herself…l.she may think what she wants….if it does not pertain to the running of the country then she needs to find an issue…..

      1. Perhaps so….but still NONE of her business! Just like it is NONE of my business her fav sex position, if she has one, that is….

    1. Yes I agree….I think more Americans should die from lack of adequate health care…..(sarcasm…in case one misses it)……I will admit that the Obama reform of healthcvare needs to be repealed…WHY? Did NOT go far enough!

      1. People don’t die in this country from “lack of adequate health care.”

No ER in the country will turn you away if you are dying. We don’t have people dying en masse in the streets or people being denied care because they are poor.

We have a situation where health care costs have inflated exponentially (thanks to government meddling in the insurance market decades ago and programs like Medicaid and Medicare), and rather than do something to incentivize the lowering of prices, the government behemoth levies fines, creates mandates, raises taxes, and regulates the living hell out of the insurance market.

      2. So it is the government that drives up health costs…..what you work for an insurance com…..I do not think that anyone believes that for real….only during an election……so NO one has died because their insurance company has said NO to a treatment? Okay I am glad that you think that our system is so perfect…..but I do not agree….sorry….

      3. Lobo,

Have insurance companies committed breaches of contract and deaths have resulted because care patients would have gotten was denied because they couldn’t pay for it?

        Sure.

But insurance is not 100% guaranteed to pay for everything. You can’t wreck your car and then go out and purchase car insurance and then expect the insurance company to pay for the repairs. Except, now it appears that Obama is mandating just that. It is sheer insanity.

That’s why reading the fine print is so important, and why sometimes it is just as important to make wise financial decisions so that should some unforeseen health crisis pop up, you have access to credit, a savings account, equity, something to help finance the medical care.

Because ultimately, health care is not a right.
