What’s Going On In Palestine?

Every day the Western news media is telling us about the violence in the Occupied Territories…..most of those reports are one sided at best.  What we are told is the Palestinians are committing violence against Israelis….of course there is never any background to the violence so according to the reports the Palestinians are just prone to violence for no reason other than they hate Jews….a false belief!

Is that about what you hear and/or believe?

You know here is a thought……could there be another reason for the violence…..like Israelis are committed to eliminating the Palestinian any way they can?

You think that is a silly notion from the only “democracy” in the Middle East?

These are statement made by elected officials in Israel…..you decide…….

 

 

How would you like to be talked about in this manner?

Sadly this post will fall on deaf ears and blind eyes……but if it were me and I will be honest…..I would take it to the streets also……and so would you….even if you are too cowardly to admit it.

Why Is Israel Protected By The Media?

I have always asked this question…..the media will report every attack by a Palestinian on a Jew down to the minute detail and they overlook all the death that is caused by the IDF….why is that?

This report just yesterday is what I am talking about…..

Two Palestinian men boarded a bus in Jerusalem and began shooting and stabbing passengers, while another assailant rammed a car into a bus station before stabbing bystanders, in near-simultaneous attacks Tuesday that escalated a monthlong wave of violence. Three Israelis and an attacker were killed. The Jerusalem attacks, along with two stabbings in central Israeli city Raanana, marked the most serious outbreak of violence in the current round of tensions. More than 15 people were wounded, many seriously. The violence, coming at a time when peace prospects appear nil, have fueled a sense of panic in Israel and raised fears that the region is on the cusp of a new round of heavy violence. Police closed major highways in and out of Jerusalem, while PM Benjamin Netanyahu called an emergency meeting of his Security Cabinet.

A police rep said a number of immediate steps were under consideration, including sealing off Arab neighborhoods in east Jerusalem, where many attackers have come from, and making it easier to get gun licenses. Some government ministers have called for even more dramatic measures. The Israeli military says hundreds of Palestinian protesters in Gaza gathered Tuesday near the Israeli border and threw stones and burning tires toward Israeli positions. The army says it is using “riot dispersal means” against the crowd. Israeli security officials said Tuesday’s seemingly coordinated attacks indicated the outburst of violence was starting to take on a more organized fashion; they said Israel expects the current wave to last at least a few more weeks.

This made the headlines in the West…..but this list never made to the same “reliable” news sources…….

Since 01 October the Israelis have killed 24 from Palestine……including 8 children…..and injured 1000+ protesters……Where is the outrage and the news reports on these unfortunate people?

And then there is the price Palestinian women have paid……..

  • At least 535 women have been killed by Israeli occupying forces (IOF) since 29 September 2000.
  • Since 1967, about 10,000 women have been arrested or detained by the IOF; 25 women are currently prisoners. There are 5621 total prisoners, leaving many women to serve as head of household.
  • 48,488 structures have been demolished by Israel since 1967, displacing scores of women.
  • Women are not sheltered from the current deteriorating situation in the OPT. Since 15 September, the IOF has killed at least 4 women, injured 7 and detained 4, while extremist settlers have assaulted at least 4 women.

Why does the MSM protect Israel from criticism?  Is there something they would like to tell the American people about this protection?  I am beginning to believe part of some past accusations could be correct……

I know it is a laugh……why would Israel give up its advantage when trying to eliminate an ethnic group, right?

Speaking of cowards…….Please do not get me started on the USS Liberty incident!

Is There News The MSM Will Not Report?

The Western media makes damn sure that we know when a Palestinian man goes on the rampage a stabs an Israeli…..or when someone does berserk I rams something with a car….. there are many stories over the years like this…..violence committed against poor Israelis by “crazed” Palestinians…..

But yet are unsurprisingly silent when Israelis go on the war path to local Palestinian villagers…..

The Western media will never post anything that would put Israel in a negative light…..no matter how horrendous the acts may be……and if for some reason that happen to report on a touchy situation….it will be immediately followed by some Holocaust reference….

Israel has the protection of the US mainstream media……

And that is the truth of it all!

We Americans spend a lot of time trashing the actions of ISIS as being savage, barbaric and just plain wrong……we want them to be defeated and humiliated on the world stage for their actions…….

But most Americans do NOT realize that many of the Middle East countries that we count as friends are NO better in their governance style…….in some cases just as barbaric as ISIS…….and yet they get a free ride in the media and from the people of this country…..

That is the headline here…….ISIS is NO different in their governance style than many of our allies…….should we be siding with anyone that has a savage streak toward people under their control?

How Safe Are The Christians?

The Holy Land is pretty sacred to the 3 major religions of the world…..Muslim, Christian and Jewish……..recent there has been a wealth of Jewish extremists attacks on Palestinians as well as Christians…….to the point that a Christian church was torched….and yet US Christians will defend Israel with every ounce of the their energy.  Why?  (reason will become clear as you read).

The holiest shrine in Christianity: The Church of Holy Sepulchre -- Caliph Umar preserved it in the seventh century!

The Book?  If so then that is about as stupid a reason as I can imagine.

It is getting so bad that the Vatican has issued a warning……..

JERUSALEM (RNS) The church body authorized by the Vatican to oversee the Catholic Church’s property in Israel has asked Israel’s attorney general to indict a Jewish extremist who, it says, recently incited violence against Israel’s Christian churches.

In a letter sent to Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein on Sunday (Aug. 9), the Custody of the Holy Land said Benzi Gopstein, sometimes spelled “Gopshtein,” head of the Jewish extremist group Lehava, poses a threat to Holy Land Christians.

The letter cited comments by Gopstein, who, during an Aug. 4 panel discussion for yeshiva students, quoted the 12th-century Jewish philosopher Maimonides’ ruling that Christianity constitutes idolatry. Gopstein said that the biblical Book of Deuteronomy calls for the destruction of idol worship.

Sunday’s letter was the Christian world’s latest plea to Israeli authorities to find and prosecute the people responsible for more than 50 attacks against Christian and Muslim holy sites during the past few years. Israeli police are investigating the crimes, presumably carried out by far-right-wing Jewish extremists, according to a police spokesman.
Does anyone really believe that this protest will be taken seriously?  Before you answer keep in mind that BiBi has had to make deals with extremist political entities to remain as prime minister….the Likud is an extremist group and it is in POWER.  The Israeli government does very little to curb violence committed on Muslims……why would they care so much about Christians?
These are the people that YOU defend…….sad!
But why the fascination with Israel?  For years I could not understand the fascination Christians had for Israel……..after all it was the Jews that killed the guy in the myth.  Then I sat down and actually thought about the situation and……………Could it be that the legend says before the savior can return the destruction of Israel must begin?  So Israel must survive because without it to be destroyed the guy cannot return……now it is making sense…….they could care less about the Jews just as long as there is a place called Israel to be destroyed…….

I know that the ignorant masses that are on the Right wing will say and or whatever it is that they think will motivate the idiots that subscribe to their lunacy but there comes a time when their words are chosen to ramp up harm to the country.

It is time for the government and law enforcers to start calling these pricks on their bluff and hold them responsible for their irresponsible words.  I do believe I have the right to say what is on my mind but if I get on the TV or radio and basically call out for violent action then that goes beyond voicing an opinion and into the realm of incitement.

This a/hole is hoping that his verbiage will motivate some of the mental midgets into action so there will be a response and then they can say….”Told you so”…..

What would these toads do if a black leader told the people that they needed to rise up in armed revolt?  They would have a stroke and die sprinting to FOX to make a comment.

I believe that there are limits to the first amendment…….this is not free speech this is trying to incite violence……where should we draw the line?

Do you remember the protests in Ferguson, Missouri?  All the military hardware that the PD had at its disposal?  Then later in Baltimore…..all the nifty military stuff the police were using to try and control the situation?

After all that the media started reporting just how much military hardware was available for PDs even to college campus police…..it is a scandal at what these people are getting to use against the population.

The debate has been that something needs to be done….well sports fans the Dems are trying to do just that…..

Baltimore: The Blame Game

After a rough start the last couple of days have been relatively quiet in Baltimore……and as usual someone has got to be blamed for the violence and the destruction…….the sad part is that the people and events that take the heat are seldom the cause……but they continue to play politics with a social problem…….

And as you would expect the GOP has its bad guys…….

Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, who has officially thrown his hat into the 2016 ring, told conservative radio host Laura Ingraham on Monday that “I came through the train on Baltimore last night, I’m glad the train didn’t stop.” He also said the “lack of fathers” and a “lack of moral code in our society” should eventually be examined for the “thievery and thuggery” that has taken place in Maryland’s largest city. The GOPer added “this isn’t just a racial thing. It goes across racial boundaries.”

Paul’s excuse sounds more like a political campaign than an honest evaluation…….but he isd not alone with moronic overtones……..there will ALWAYS be Donald Trump……..

What would a crisis be without the mind numbing lip flapping of The Donald?

“Our great African American president hasn’t exactly had a positive impact on the thugs who are so happily and openly destroying Baltimore!” Trump tweeted on Tuesday, resulting in a backlash on Twitter with many accusing the billionaire businessman of being racist.

Trump called on Obama to “go to Baltimore and bring both sides together. With proper leadership, it can be done! Do it.” Trump also criticized the Baltimore police for allowing “the city to be destroyed,” and asked if U.S. taxpayers were expected to pay for the damage.

It’s Obama’s fault…….that tired old accusation……..

The media has gone so far as to make the story about the victim not about the circumstances of his death…..plus the media keeps counting down the hours and minutes to curfew with the hope that something set the crowds off……

Sad part is that NO one wants to talk about the real reasons for all this violence……..and because of this there will be more…..and more……

 

Smells Like CYA!

Baltimore is a tinder box and could re-erupt at any moment…….calm for now but all the facts are still not available……the media has had to dig hard to find something anything to keep this story going  and now they have been given the red meat they have been searching for………what purpose is a countdown to curfew the media is doing?

First, the promise of the findings of Gray’s death would be released on Friday 01 May and now not so much…..we are told that the findings will be turned over to the investigation before it is released……does this threaten the tenuous calm?

Second, there seems to be a witness to Gray’s condition as he was arrested…….

A weird twist in the Freddie Gray case: A prisoner being transported in the police van where the Baltimore man suffered a fatal spinal injury says he could hear Gray banging on the walls and thought he “was intentionally trying to injure himself,” according to a statement on a search warrant obtained by the Washington Post. But the prisoner couldn’t actually see Gray, and a lawyer for the family says they have not been told about the unidentified prisoner’s statement. “We disagree with any implication that Freddie Gray severed his own spinal cord,” the lawyer tells the Post. “We question the accuracy of the police reports we’ve seen thus far, including the police report that says Mr. Gray was arrested without force or incident.”

According to the Post‘s timeline of events, the prisoner who says he heard Gray banging on the walls was in the van for the last six blocks of the ride to the police station—after Gray, who was handcuffed and wasn’t wearing a seat belt, had already asked for medical help. Six Baltimore police officers have been suspended over the death and police plan to turn the results of their investigation over to prosecutors on Friday, NBC reports. It’s not clear how much of the report will be made public, but the mayor’s office says it hopes police will “share any additional facts and details to the public that could shine some light on this,” reports the Baltimore Sun.

Now ask…if this report is true why was it not released in the beginning for it could have help avoid the violence?  Why now?  This unnamed witness that was arrested and in the same van….does he now get some sort of deal to tell his tale?

The media will fixate on these two stories and pick it to part……will their reports help trigger more violence this weekend?  These two stories are a god send to a story that was dying a slow death……

As for the city of Baltimore……all this smells like CYA! (would make a good protest song)

Baltimore: Same Problem With No Solution

I have not commented on the situation in Baltimore until now because I wanted to see what would shake out…..and so far it is the same song and dance (from the media that is)…….the same speculation, the same hysteria and the same call to dialog…….

Then I watched the blogs…….and many points are being made…….many good points but is anyone listening?  As well as a case for the game of choosing sides.  Of course the usual line of conversation around those “outside agitators” and “thugs”

The incident is all too familiar and there has got to be something done…..but we as a people are going about it all wrong……this should not not be a game of choosing sides…..and that is exactly what we are doing…..choosing sides.

There are some great reports about this subject and then there are a bunch of speculation and hype….none of which is a solution to the problem….all it accomplishes is to force us to choose sides….one over the other.

As usual the solution to the incident that caused the situation boils down to camera cams for the cops……But is it really?

Ask yourself…..if every cop had a body cam and recorded everything the person did…..would we ever see the tape?  Who would control the distribution….the cops?  Knowing the silence of the “Blue Line” would you seriously believe we would get the whole story?

Yes, a solution MUST be found and yes, a dialog is much needed…….but I do not see any of it coming to fruition in today’s society.  Experts are not the answers…..experts know nothing of the community that they say they are speaking about…….an opinion stated by someone who lives in a Manhattan penthouse is a worthless utterance…..for a picture can be painted and may not necessarily be accurate or helpful..  How silly is it for the “Haves” to be explaining the “Have Nots”?  The view from the penthouse gives them NO special insight.

The dialog about the dialog is not helping either.  The media sensationalism is not going to help.  Name calling is not going to help.  The media needs this to continue and they will do what they must to see that there is no quick resolution.

Think I am wrong?  Then think about what it offers the people……fake drama sold as reality…….it is what the viewer wants….and they get it.  How soon before someone tries to push this as a “race riot”?

The situation that gave us the horrible events in Ferguson, Staten Island and Baltimore and countless others is far from over……NO real dialog will be possible without honesty and commitment and now all we have is talk (not a dialog) and finger pointing….none of which is helping.

For now all eyes are on Baltimore and most of the chatter is NOT helping!  The eyes are looking at the protesters and the real problem goes to the back burner….that problem is the death of Mr. Gray and the tactics of violence used against the African-American community.

Promises are being made…….promises and more talk……and while we are talking this will happen again……and again.

A cycle that we know exists but NO one is willing to find a cure!
