Let The Vendetta Begin

Now that the election has culminated with Trump being thrust into the seat of power once again….there are concerns that he will make good on some of his veiled promises to get even with those that he thinks have wronged him in some way.

For your convenience I have found a list of those opponents to watch to see what the lord of the manor will do…people like Harris, Biden, Pelosi et al…..

Donald Trump ran a campaign based on retribution. Now he is perfectly positioned to carry it out.

For years, Trump has peppered his speeches and social media posts with vengeful calls for his political opponents, his critics and members of the media to be prosecuted, locked up, deported and even executed. In the waning weeks of the 2024 campaign, he escalated those promises of retaliation to a fever pitch.

Now that he’s won, he has both a popular mandate — and the power — to begin implementing his platform of punishment.

But others — including some of Trump’s closest advisers — have warned ominously that he’s far more likely to follow through in a second term. He won’t be inhibited by the need to run for reelection. He will be emboldened by a Supreme Court ruling that grants presidents broad immunity from criminal accountability after they leave office. And he is expected to be surrounded by aides more willing to dispense with norms to carry out his wishes.

Based on Trump’s own words, here are the people who have the most to fear.

President Joe Biden

Trump has frequently called Biden corrupt and, in June, reposted a Truth Social message that said he should be “arrested for treason.” In a speech last year, Trump vowed: “I will appoint a real special prosecutor to go after the most corrupt president in the history of the United States of America, Joe Biden, and the entire Biden crime family.”

Vice President Kamala Harris

Trump has described Harris’ failure to control migration as so severe that people have been “murdered because of her action at the border.” He told a campaign rally in Pennsylvania in September that Harris “should be impeached and prosecuted” for her role in permitting what he termed an “invasion” of the U.S. by undocumented immigrants.

Former President Barack Obama

In 2020, Trump accused Obama of “treason” for what Trump describes as the FBI’s surveillance of his 2016 presidential campaign over its ties to Russia. In fact, the email snooping was aimed at a former foreign policy adviser to that campaign.

In August of this year, Trump reposted a message on Truth Social calling for “public military tribunals” for Obama.

And the list goes on….

He will try to ‘get’ all those people that have somehow wronged him…..us peons that are not too fond of him will be safe for his minions will neutralize us at every turn.

‘Revenge Can Be Justified’

It is nothing new for Trump to voice his desire to punish anyone that goes against him….these days that means mostly Dems with a sprinkling of Repubs in there.

His most recent statement should send shivers up American’s spines….

Former President Trump is threatening revenge for his fraud conviction while asserting that the country is worse off after he became the first US president convicted of a felony. Trump sat down Thursday with Dr. Phil McGraw, who suggested the presumptive Republican presidential nominee didn’t have time to “get even” with his critics, echoing Trump’s own claim from January that he’ll be too busy for retribution. “Well, revenge does take time, I will say that,” Trump replied, per the Hill. “And sometimes revenge can be justified, Phil, I have to be honest. Sometimes it can.” Trump has been making similar comments of late.

“It’s a terrible, terrible path that they’re leading us to, and it’s very possible that it’s going to have to happen to them,” Trump told Newsmax‘s Greg Kelly on Tuesday, per the New York Times. And on Wednesday, he told Fox News‘ Sean Hannity he had “every right to go after” Democrats “based on what they’ve done.” “And it’s easy, because it’s Joe Biden, and you see all the criminality, all of the money that’s going into the family and him,” he added. In another interview that aired Thursday, Trump told Phoenix TV station KNXV he was considering prosecuting his opponents. “I thought it would be a horrible thing to do to Hillary Clinton,” Trump said of the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee. But “the world is different now.”

Trump told Dr. Phil that “the country is really worse for what they’ve done.” But “the people of our country get it,” he said, claiming his campaign had pulled in about $400 million—”numbers that nobody’s ever heard of in politics before”—since his conviction. Even months before his conviction, Trump and his allies were plotting to use the federal government to target, investigate, and prosecute his critics and opponents, should he be elected to a second term as president, according to reporting by the Washington Post. “Donald Trump is so consumed with personal grievance that he does not care who he hurts so long as Donald Trump benefits,” a Biden campaign rep said Wednesday, per the Post.

Is this feasible?

If Trump wins in 2024 could he actually go after those that have ‘wronged’ him?

Should Trump win reelection in November, would he truly pursue punitive reprisals against his political foes? And if he does make good on his many longstanding threats, what would that look like?

Will he make good on his threats or is he just stroking his wanker like some crazed baboon?

Personally I think, if he wins, that he will get his DOJ to start lots of investigation and for him to ramp up the verbal attacks by his sycophants most notably FOX News.

How successful he will be will be just a waiting game for the country and in the end a waste of time….but is that not what DC does best?  Waste time and resources?

Today begins an end to the Moore thing….Trump is clueless like so many of his supporters…..

At what minute does the Fearless Leader realize what he is doing?

Does he really think he can keep it up….this government by revenge.

Yes…revengeHe spends his waking hours Tweeting his vial, disgusting thoughts about other Americans as well as international leaders…..

Others are starting to speak up as well…….

Looking back at the last tumultuous year, to me, one of the saddest aspects of the Trump candidacy and presidency is that both in part were built from one of the basest of human impulses: revenge.

We’re taught that ideally, the desire to run for office should reflect a commitment to public service. And we know that the reality is far too often otherwise, running to slake a thirst for power and money that overpowers the greater good.

Yet to seek elected office for revenge, to use it to get back at someone or inflict harm on them or anyone associated with them seems in some ways even worse; shabby, petty and immoral.

His latest Tweet is not something new….he spends his valuable time spewing hate and vile…..

That is NO way to run a country….but yet that is exactly what we have going on here in the US…….a country being run by REVENGE.

And what better tool for revenge than Twitter…..and Fearless Fosdick uses it as well as any authoritarian.

Remember when the Repubs bought into the conspiracy that the president, Obama, and the IRS were out to get conserv groups?  Oh yeah that was a meme for a long time and it was spread like so much manure on a field.  It was pure conserv bullsh*t.

Well guess what?

Looks like Fearless Leader is doing that which the Dems were accused of in the past…..

Do you remember the “IRS scandal”? Unlike the conspiracy theories supported by “crazy” Republicans, like birtherism and Sharia law spreading in the U.S., the IRS scandal is one of the conspiracy theories supported by “Establishment” Republicans, like climate-science denial and Benghaaaazi. The premise of the “IRS scandal” held that the agency, supported explicitly or implicitly by the Obama administration, targeted conservative groups for harassment. Years of investigation by Congress and the IRS Inspector General firmly proved the opposite. The IRS, trying to enforce ambiguous rules governing political activity by nonprofit groups, flagged organizations on both the right and left in roughly equal measure.

The intensity of the IRS conspiracy theory petered out, but has never surrendered its place in the right-wing imagination. (Indeed, Wall Street Journal columnist William McGurn regurgitated the fantasy again yesterday.) The “IRS Scandal” has some importance beyond its insight into conservative paranoia. It has turned out to prefigure the Republicans’ own blueprint for the use of government as an implement of partisan domination and revenge.

The 47 Republican Samurai – FPIF

Has anyone heard the story of the 47 Ronin?  It is a Japanese legend of dedication, loyalty and revenge……47 samurai lost their lord in a palace coup and they decided that they could not let this affront go…..they waited and then attacked the opposition lords castle and exacted revenge by cutting off his head……they then turned themselves in and faced their punishment……

The story made me think of another 47 people that are motivated by revenge……US Senate……

Sweet Nectar Of Revenge

My father was from Wisconsin and it is a hunting state…..but every year some d/bag mistakes a cow for a deer and is shot…..it got so bad that one farmer painted the word “COW” in huge fluorescent letters to try and save them from death……

But the story I read is the BEST report of animal revenge….EVER!

Sometimes the hunter becomes the hunted, as a 72-year-old bow hunter in Wisconsin recently found out when the doe he struck with his arrow apparently had enough. After the man injured her and attempted to track her, she turned on him. “Apparently the man was going through some thick brush and the deer leaped out and went after him,” the local sheriff tells the Fond du Lac Reporter. “The doe struck him in the leg with her head.”

The hunter was transported to a nearby hospital Friday night, where his condition was unknown. The man was hunting with family members when the emergency call came in around 7:30pm, reports the AP. “I’m guessing the deer got away,” the sheriff says

Damn!  A great illustration of the old saying….”Revenge is a dish best served cold”!

I Love This Dog!

There are times when surfing that we come across some story that makes you smile….this is just such a story.

A report filed by Reuters:

A dog in Germany shot by a drunken man with a gun took swift revenge by biting off the end of the man’s nose, authorities said on Monday.Police said the armed man was snooping at night in the yard of a house in Stadtlauringen in northern Bavaria when he shot the Bernese mountain dog from point-blank range.

Before collapsing, the dog leapt at the 39-year-old man and bit off the end of his nose, a local police spokesman said.

Bleeding profusely, the man called police and was taken for treatment in a nearby hospital. His motives for being in the yard were unclear, police said.

Doctors removed a bullet from the dog’s shoulder and discharged it from a clinic after an operation lasting several hours.

Do ya think the dog was pissed?

Taleban Exacts Revenge

Four months ago, the people of the Pakistani mountain village of Shalbandi gained national repute after a village posse hunted down and killed six Taliban fighters who had tied up and killed eight local policemen. The posse displayed the Taliban corpses like trophies for other residents to see, and the village was celebrated as a courageous sign that the Taliban could be repelled.

On Sunday morning, the Taliban struck back.

A suicide car bomber set off an explosion at a school in Shalbandi that was serving as a polling place, as voters lined up to elect a representative to the National Assembly. More than 30 people were killed and more than two dozen wounded, according to local political and security officials. Children and several policemen were among the dead.

The attack was the latest demonstration of the Taliban’s bloody encroachment eastward and deeper into Pakistan from the lawless tribal areas on the western border. Shalbandi is less than 100 miles northwest of Islamabad, the capital, and lies just south of the lush Swat Valley, a onetime ski resort known as the “Switzerland of Pakistan” that has been largely taken over by the Taliban despite large-scale army operations.

Is this a growing problem?  If so then Pakistan will have their hands full and will probably weaken the government even more than it is now.
