Looking back at the last tumultuous year, to me, one of the saddest aspects of the Trump candidacy and presidency is that both in part were built from one of the basest of human impulses: revenge.

We’re taught that ideally, the desire to run for office should reflect a commitment to public service. And we know that the reality is far too often otherwise, running to slake a thirst for power and money that overpowers the greater good.

Yet to seek elected office for revenge, to use it to get back at someone or inflict harm on them or anyone associated with them seems in some ways even worse; shabby, petty and immoral.

That is NO way to run a country….but yet that is exactly what we have going on here in the US…….a country being run by REVENGE.

And what better tool for revenge than Twitter…..and Fearless Fosdick uses it as well as any authoritarian.

Clueless In DC

I try to stay away from hard news on weekends….I try to set those few days side for me and my better half to do whatever she wants….

Sad to say that news got through my filter and sent me into a laughing spree that lasted about 15 minutes….hard core laughing…tears in eyes and hard to catch me breath….side hurting laughter.

It appears that Fearless Leader has his panties in a twist because Li’l Kim called him “old”…….

President Trump was on Twitter Sunday morning from Hanoi, taunting Kim Jong Un. After North Korea on Saturday referred to Trump’s speech last week in South Korea as “reckless remarks by an old lunatic,” Trump responded with his tweet, the AP reports: “Why would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me ‘old,’ when I would NEVER call him ‘short and fat?’ Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend – and maybe someday that will happen!” Trump partially echoed those comments when asked at a news conference with Vietnam’s president Sunday if he might ever really become friends with Kim. “I think anything’s a possibility,” he said. “Strange things happen in life.” He added that it would be “very, very nice” if a friendship evolved.

This this person joking?  After all he has said in his Twitter account about Li’l Kim and he thinks that one day they could be friends….please tell me this man is joking and not delusional!

Is he so ignorant that he does not think that anything he has said would be taken as an insult…..I am beginning to think that Fearless Leader is suffering from some sort of mental illness.

You Think Politics Is Silly Now….Just You Wait!

A couple of decades ago I got chuckle out of the fact the Sonny Bono had been elected to Congress from the San Diego area…..I couldn’t see “I Got You babe” as a Congressman.

Then last year another chuckle was produced when I watched this country vote Donald Trump into the office of the presidency.

I though then the our politics would become one game show after another…and so far I have not been disappointed.

I even asked myself if it was possible for our politics to get more silly then it is now……

I just had to ask that question….and by god I got my answer…..yes it can get sillier and even worse than it is today…..

Why would I say that?

Then came the news……

Kid Rock has announced on Twitter that he’ll be throwing his fedora in the ring for Michigan’s 2018 senate seat. While some find his bid to be “pimp of the nation” humorous, Democrats are not discounting the rocker. CNN reports that Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer contacted supporters in an effort to raise money that would be split with Debbie Stabenow, the Michigan senator up for reelection. “I’ll be honest,” Sen. Schumer wrote, “we don’t know if this is real, a joke, or a bizarre publicity stunt. But I’ll tell you this: I don’t find it funny.” Schumer added that in the Trump era, “We can’t afford to take this tweet as a joke.” Warren also warned against dismissing Kid Rock’s potential bid.

“We all thought Donald Trump was joking when he rode down the escalator at Trump Tower and announced his campaign, too,” she wrote. Per Michigan Radio, Stabenow’s campaign also referenced Trump in an email to supporters, saying that after his “surprising” win, “we need to act fast.” The senator, who plays guitar, tweeted an article about Kid Rock’s bid with the words, “I know we both share a love of music. I concede he’s better at playing guitar and I’ll keep doing what I do best: fighting for Michigan.” Kid Rock’s response? “I concede she is better at playing politics than I am so I’ll keep doing what I do best, which is being a voice for tax paying, hardworking AMERICANS and letting politicians like her know that We the People are sick and tired of their bulls***!” The musician hasn’t yet filed paperwork with the FEC to run, but says he will.

Even before I could stop laughing at the moronic idea of this toad being a candidate….more silly news arrived…..

From Bruce Jenner to Caitlyn Jenner to … Senator Jenner? The transgender activist said during an interview on New York’s AM 970 over the weekend that she’s considering a run for the Senate in California, reports the Hill. The former Olympian is a lifelong Republican and supporter of President Trump, which the Los Angeles Times notes won’t necessarily help her cause in blue California. But she also has publicly disagreed with Trump over transgender policy.

“I have considered it,” Jenner, 67, said in the interview. She added that she likes politics but is debating whether she can be more productive as an insider or an outsider, noting, “I gotta find out where I can do a better job.” The next Senate election in the state is 2018, when Democrat Dianne Feinstein’s seat will be up for grabs. Feinstein, 84, has not said whether she’ll seek re-election, and no big-name Republican has stepped up so far.

Oh my god….American politics has become one long reality TV show……they will not win but even that they are considered as serious candidates is too much stupidity in one place.

“One Good Man With A Gun….”

I recall back after one of the gun violence events…there have been so many it is hard to recall the exact time it was said…..I believe it was after Newtown massacre when there was lots of talk about some sort of way to control who gets access to guns…..any way that twat LaPierre o0f the NRA made his best statement yet…..

“The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.”

I am sure that everyone remembers his babbling…..so the elaborate on his statement a little further…..

Want your fellow Americans armed to the teeth? OK, but consider this: A bystander witnessing a carjacking in Houston Saturday night opened fire and missed the assailants but shot the victim in the head, police say. KHOU reports that a guy was being attacked by two men at a Valero gas station in north Houston when the bystander drew his weapon and fired. The bystander then snatched up his shell casings and fled, and police found the victim’s Chevrolet pickup truck about a mile down the road with the attackers long gone. Ever read an article that was too good to pass up or to try and ignore?

All the Right Wing clap-trap about same sex marriage has gone over the top many times……but the best one I read yesterday and just had to pass it on………..

Anti-gay activist Peter LaBarbera appeared on recent episode of “America’s Survival,” where he and co-host Jerry Kenney made their case against homosexuality by likening it to rape, eating feces, eating children, murder, incest, and drinking poison.

After Kenney boldly declared that “I don’t believe in gay people” on the grounds that nobody can prove to him “scientifically” that there is any genetic cause of homosexuality, he asserted that claiming that gay people are just “born that way” is like saying that a rapist ought to be free to rape because he was “just born a rapist.”

Kenney then went on to say that there is nothing “natural” about homosexuality because whenever it occurs in nature “it doesn’t occur for very long.” This led him to assert that homosexuality can’t be genetic because, if it was, “it [would] have died with the very first person that had the gene mutation.”

Even if one does accept the claim that homosexuality is natural, Kenney continued, that still doesn’t justify it because “there are a lot of things that are natural that aren’t necessarily good.”

“In nature, animals rape one another,” he said. “So should rape be okay? Some animals eat their own waste, is that okay? Animals eat their young. Is our new standard now, in this society that we’ve brought down and as long as we’re at the animal level then it’s okay?”

“Wouldn’t murder be natural?” asked LaBarbera. “Wouldn’t incest be natural?”

“Poison is natural,” responded Kenney. “Let’s all drink a cup of poison”:

Do these people ever listen to what they say…..or maybe listen to that small voice in their head that tells them to just keep quiet?

There Is Ignorant Then There Is Stupid

One of my fave quotes is….”Stupidity Is The Deliberate Cultivation Of Ignorance”……and it is proved every damn day.

In the country right now there is a debate, if you will, on the possibility of raising the minimum wage to a level that would allow people to exist without having to ask for help from the government.  lots of yeas and nays…..some states have taking it on themselves to for go the mindless debate and raise the wages for people within their borders.  Minnesota is one of these states that has done the right thing….and one guy decided to make a political statement in opposition to the raise……

But first let me tell you something about the restaurant business…..the success of an established cafe or bistro is the clientele…..without their patronage you gots NOTHING!  So anytime you change things it needs to be done without much hoopla that way your public will continue to visit eat and spend their hard earned money…..

With that said an operator of a cafe in Minnesota was so pissed about having to pay a higher minimum wage that he took it out on his customers…….

A new “minimum wage fee” tacked on to receipts at a Minnesota restaurant is proving hard for customers to stomach.

Facebook users are bombarding Oasis Café, an eatery in Stillwater, Minnesota, with negative reviews, many vowing to never eat there again, after the owners began adding a 35-cent surcharge below the tax on bills this week.

“If you need to raise prices, so be it,” Ryan Stegeman, a University of Minnesota student, wrote in a one-star review hidden by the administrator of the Oasis Café Facebook page. “But to blame it on a fair minimum wage law is petty.”

They Gave A Revolution And No One Came!

As a life long student of political history I was intrigued by the idea of a 2nd American Revolution…..and yesterday, 19 November 2013, was the day set by a right winger named Klayman.  He called for a demonstration and the beginnings of the revolution to commence in Lafayette Park, across from the White House……his words…….

Beginning at 10 a.m., Nov. 19, in the park just across from the White House, Lafayette Park (it is befitting of this French general who helped us whip Britain to gain our independence) that We the People, armed with courage and moral rectitude, as well as the divine grace of our Creator, will begin to fight back against government tyranny. We will not only serve notice that we will no longer endure tyranny from the corrupt leaders who have driven the nation to near destruction, by reading our renewed declaration of independence, but we will speak the truth about what needs to be done to right the ship of state for ourselves, our loved ones and to preserve the freedoms our Founding Fathers and their patriotic hordes fought and died for.

Like I said…I was interested to see just how this would go……

As of 1430 hrs on 19 Nov there is nothing in the news about the revolution…I even checked with WND.com……if there was ever going to be something that would embarrass the prez it would be there….know what I found?  NOTHING!

And so far on this day there is NOTHING on FOX News about the inevitable 2nd American Revolution……..

Now the day after the start of the 2nd American Revolution……….finally on 20 November there is word of the 2nd Revolution…..WDN.com had a passing report……(sorry, they will not let me post a short synopsis..)…go to their website and read it for yourself……looks like about 200 people showed up…my guess would be that they were from the numerous whack-a-doodles and the organizations they represent……lots of tough talk but not one person with guts…as usual!  And another thought….if you have ever been to DC and the Park in question you will know that during daylight hours on any given day there are 100-200 people in the area…..posing for pics, vids, etc….so my next question will be….were the nearly 200 people at the rally…really at the rally or were they the tourist that would normally be in the area?

Klayman organized a rally Tuesday at Lafayette Park, across from the White House, by the “The Reclaim America Now” coalition.

That coalition is composed of about three-dozen conservative groups, including 2 Million Bikers to D.C., Jihad Watch, Freedom Watch, Gun Owners of America, Accuracy in Media, Tea Party Patriots and the Western Center for Journalism.

Apparently, the American people are not interested in another revolution….they would prefer just a little sanity by our elected dingbats…….

Personally, I believe that we desperately need a 2nd American Revolution….unfortunately not for the same reasons that these groups want one…….there is much that needs repair in our government……I would begin with the election process…there will NEVER be a true revolution as long as money decides the outcome of our elections….the process of gerrymandering has got to go…that is basically the politicians choosing their voters…..it should be vice versa!

WTF!?!

For about 5 years we have heard everything negative that could be possibly said about Obama….and most of the absurd crap has come from I call the Right Wing Spin Machine,,,,I wish I could blame the MSM media but alas it is loud mouth morons that like to stir crap without much challenge…..

I recall about 4 years ago our prez, Obama, was given the Nobel Peace Prize, something that I thought was a bit absurd…….and the criticism began,,,,,criticism is an understatement——the right wing machine went bat crap crazy….saying all kinds of unkind things about the prez and the Nobel people….

Then about the same time Pres. Obama was helping Chicago in its bid to host the Olympic games……..a bid that they lost….and once again the Right wingers were boisterous…..this time they were elated that Chicago had failed in its bid.  The loudest mouths were all but cheering the loss……that’s right they were cheering that the US lost its bid…..why?

The newest crap in their anti-American drama is an op-ed penned by Vlad Putin….where he belittled America and its prez….and once again the Right and its loudest pricks…..Billy-Boy, Rush and Sean were all but kissing Putin on the mouth for what he had to say about the prez and the country….they let this condescending prick bad mouth this country and the Right cheered his words…..

At what point do we ask these pretentious pricks why?

I understand the dislike for a prez…..but what is they dislike?  And why would this dislike allow other countries to bad mouth America?  When did Putin, an authoritarian prick, become the darling of the US Right wing spin machine?

I am waiting and have been waiting years for an honest answer to why the extreme dislike of the prez…..and what would allow the likes of Putin to get away with disrespecting an American president?

Please, one of my conserv readers explain all this to me.;……as much as I disliked Bush….I would never allow some egotistic prick like Putin to get away with such disrespect…….you know if this was the 50’s these pundits giving such love to a Russian would be accused of being a 5th column working from within to destroy the country….where are the “love or leave it” twats?

BuzzFeed has pictures of the same sign appearing in another restaurant, and the word from Hooters’ official Twitter account is: “Our Hooters Girls in San Diego have spoken. Not a corporate gig, but we support our girls.” Oddest twist: It looks like the campaign originated with Glenn Beck, who last week presented the sign, which he says he created, on his show, notes the Blaze. “I think this sign should be in every establishment in San Diego,” he said.

The mayor, who still refuses to resign despite allegations of sexual harassment from at least 14 women, yesterday responded to the attempt to recall him from office, saying that “now is not the time to go backwards.” But things are looking even worse for him, reports CNN, with a city councilman asking him to explain more than $500 in charges to his official city credit card. The charges are from the Westgate Hotel, which is across the street from the mayor’s office, and regulars at the hotel bar say Filner was often there with various women. I think it is a great idea for businesses to get involved with dealing with the perv……….but (there is always a but)………a company that forces its employees to wear Daisy Duke’s and a t-shirt that is about 4 sizes too small should not use “treating women with respect” as a reason for not wanting the mayor in their stores……..

I do not see anything respectful about the attire they must wear to hold a job…….not saying I do not appreciate it….just that it is the furthest thing from respectful…….thoughts?
