A Scary Scenario

From time to time I find myself thoroughly disgusted with politics and let my mind wander and at this time my poor brain comes up with some pretty scary things….and this one scared the be-Jesus out of me!

The 2012 election….Mitt wins the nomination and after vetting and vetting he needs someone who can help carry the South and that leads him to Newt….and after a horrendous campaign for the general and some bad economic news Mitt/Newt win the election in a squeaker….bad right?  But wait!

After about 2 years into his presidency Mitt dies and Newt becomes Prez…….

Can you think of a more scary scenario?

This drives home the old saying….”put your head between your knees and kiss your ass good-bye”…….and Western civilization starts its downward spiral into irrelevancy….

Does this scare you as much as it does me?

Where Did The Vile Come From?

WE all have heard all the vile coming out of Washington….the name calling, the personal attacks and all the playing loose with facts….but where did it come from?

The truth is that most all presidential races have had some form of negativity about them since the beginning, well not with Washington because he was next to God after the War, but from then on political opponents have used all sorts of tricks and lies to try and sway people’s opinion and vote….but nowhere that I can recall in all my historical readings and studies has a Congress been so vile to its opponents…..maybe in a local election but Washington was for the most part a bi-partisan approach to government….

If that is true, then where did all this vile originate?

Most of it can be tracked back to 1994 in a memo entitled, “Language:  A Key Mechanism Of Control” (FOX sure knows how to use this information)…..and you may not know it but that memo was sent out by one, Rep. Newt Gingrich!  The memo was sent out to illustrate the words to be used when describing GOP opponents, Democrats.

Words that were instructed to be used to describe Dem policies and politicians were……decay, failure (fail), collapse(ing), deeper, crisis, urgent(cy), destructive, destroy, sick, pathetic, lie, liberal, they/them, unionized bureaucracy, “compassion” is not enough, betray, consequences, limit(s), shallow, traitors, sensationalists, endanger, coercion, hypocrisy, radical, threaten, devour, waste, corruption, incompetent, permissive attitudes, destructive, impose, self-serving, greed, ideological, insecure, anti-(issue): flag, family, child, jobs, pessimistic, excuses, intolerant, stagnation, welfare, corrupt, selfish, insensitive, status quo, mandate(s), taxes, spend(ing), shame, disgrace, punish (poor…), bizarre, cynicism, cheat, steal, abuse of power, machine, bosses, obsolete, criminal rights, red tape, patronage…….

Take a second look at the words…..do any of them sound familiar to the descriptions that Repubs are using today?

Give due where due is due (too many uses of the word “due”)……..the GOP frontrunner (that is today), Newt Gingrich has given us the vile language of today’s grid lock in Washington…Thanx Newt….Thanx for NOTHING!  Repubs need to stop bitching their leaders started the whole damn thing……

I watch MSNBC in the early morning especially the Morning Joe Show….I appreciate Scarborough, a conserv, because he will take on any and all about things in the news….while deep down he is still a Repub he is NOT one of those extreme ideologues we deal with in Washington these days….

I have been trying to correct the common thought of creeping socialism or loss of freedoms and crap like those bumper stickers of the Right these days….but I have to admit the Joe handled it much worse then I usually do….but I give him an “A” for deliver……..watch the vid of his analysis of something the Newt recently said….it is priceless……http://bit.ly/ist03d Joe Scarborough gone wild….

2012 Presidential GOP Debate #2

CNN was the culprit this time…..they brought together 7 candidates for the debate they left out Johnson, former gov. of Colorado because his poll numbers were not good, but they allowed Bachmann in who has not said she is running yet…..CNN set up the rules a minute for answer and 30 seco9nds for rebuttal…..which NO one observed and the moderator had to continually interrupt the person to call time….and that was the highlight of the debate…….

I apologize to my conserv friends…..I was hoping to hear something new or something bold or something believable……but instead of really issues with real solutions I heard the same lame rhetoric that has been flying around for decades…….mostly all that crap about trickle down theory……

Okay I get it!  Obama Bad!  Democrats Bad!  And the scary part is that may be all that is needed to be said to win an election…….let me see what was touched on by the players?  Wait for it!  Taxes (go figure)….drill baby drill (but not in those terms)…..pro-growth (but no explanation of how)…..and of yeah….attack Obama…..and that sports fans was the best synopsis of the debate……

I know….I know……who won this round of the debates?  In my opinion it was Ron Paul with Herman Cain a close second…..the most boring was a tie between Mitt and T-Paw…….idea man with no ideas was our friend Newt……Bachmann?  Still not sure what to think of her…..will need to hear her preform more on the debate stage (so I reserve comment on her)……then there is bat shit crazy and the most laughable…Santorum…..

2011 Anal-Ocity #13

While reading the blog of Jonathan Turley, a brilliant constitutional law professor, I found yet another anal statement made by a promising (only if you are a deluded redneck) presidential candidate….the Newt-ster…..Newt Gingrich.

What can I say…..hardly a day goes by without someone making a complete ignorant and anal statement, mostly from those on the Right (sorry guys, but the Left seems to be able to talk without making too many anal statements)…..

Like I said this edition of 2011 Anal-Ocity is from everybody’s waffling politician, Newt……

“I am convinced that if we do not decisively win the struggle over the nature of America, by the time they’re my age they will be in a secular atheist country, potentially one dominated by radical Islamists and with no understanding of what it once meant to be an American.”

OK, after about 3 minutes of side splitting laughter, I came to the realization that the more moronic of his supporters will believe this to be gospel (sorry, no pun intended)……what does that mean?  And where is his proof?  Could it be that because our Constitution allows the freedom of religion that Christianity is so weak that it cannot withstand competition?

This is Bullsh*t!  If you have half a brain……you know it….and Newt KNOWS it!

Newt Echoes “Drill Baby Drill”

Remember the good old days of the ’08 presidential campaign?  McCain and especially our darling of the Right, Sarah Palin….used the cute little slogan of “Drill Baby Drill”….trying to promote more domestic drilling for oil which would let the gas prices drop in price……I covered it then….and I covered it when I saw bumper sticker saying the same thing…well basically the same thing……

And now, in a recent interview presidential hopeful Newt when trashing the Prez on his finally four picks….gave his idea of the real final four……typical non specific lame-atude….but let me say this one more time and see if it can get through the clutter and the snooze factor…….

The idea of more domestic drilling has a couple of holes in the theory…….first, any oil taken out of the ground in the US will not make it to market for about 2 years and that is after the drilling part is done and that could take 3-5 years…..second, Newt boy said that it would take gas from $4 a gallon and drop it to $2…….third, what in this would lead you to believe that Exxon (one of many) would drop the price of gas?  You truly believe that Exxon would give up 50% of its profit to help the country?…..fourth, does his estimates include the Federal, state and local taxes that are tacked onto the price of gas?…….fifth, what about the cocktail of gases that are being pumped in the country….how would his proposal effect the price of the additives……

Finally……stop believing these people when they start their creepy and misinformed promises of cheap gas….if only we would drill here in this country……nothing will change…you will still be paying through the nose for the gas…..no matter where it is drilled up!  BTW, you still pay a whole lot less than our friends in Europe…..here is another idea…conserve and stop buying the status symbol vehicles that get 2 gallons to the mile!

2009 Anal-Ocity

The field for the “Assie” Award is getting crowded and more difficult to find the most anal statement.

It seems that the GOP and its pundits seem to have cornered the market on anal statements this year.  The health care debate is about to roar into the public’s mind….lots of misinformation and out right lies will be thrown around by both sides.  I read as much as possible daily and try to post on it to help people understand the debate.

But then I also find some really lame ass statements along the way.  This on is from our boy Newt.  In an interview when talking about US health care it was brought to his attention that there were about 46 million uninsured people in the US.  His response was:

Right. And we have — you know, that means you also have 260 million insured.

Like that somehow makes it just fine that there are people who have no insurance.  And then he said:

And the 46 million, by the way, includes illegal aliens.

Once again it sounds like he is saying that it is okay to have people without medical care.
