2020 Nevada Caucuses Results

It is a Sunday and the FYI portion of IST today will be the vote in Nevada……

Saturday the campaign for the Dem candidates came to a head in Nevada….and the results are mostly in and the results are….

In Nevada, it was no contest. Bernie Sanders cruised to an easy win, with the AP and the major networks calling the race as soon as the very first precincts reported. Those early results, here via Politico, showed why:

  • Sanders, 54%
  • Joe Biden, 18%
  • Elizabeth Warren, 10%
  • Pete Buttigieg, 8%
  • Tom Steyer, 6%
  • Amy Klobuchar, 2%

The win for Sanders follows his victory in New Hampshire and his virtual tie in Iowa, thus giving him clear front-runner bragging rights. Biden, meanwhile, declared himself back in the 2020 race after disappointing results in the earlier states. “We’re alive and we’re coming back and we’re gonna win,” he told supporters. Michael Bloomberg was not on the ballot.

This should be a beacon for the media…..those people that do not do well in a diverse electorate will soon be history….

If they are not out now then South Carolina should be the end of a couple of campaigns…..

Questions!  I have questions.

Will there be any surprises on Super Tuesday, 03 March?

Will Biden’s firewall hold?

Will Bernie breeze through to the nomination?

Where the Hell is Bloomberg?

Not to worry there is yet another debate soon and South Carolina looms…..25 February ahead of the vote……

Where’s The Fraud?

This is for my readers that may use certain sites for their news…..How many time have you picked up a copy of your fave rag like Breitbart or Infowars or Drudge and read one of their many stories on voter fraud?

Many I would bet and most times it is aimed at Dem activist or voters that they are trying to stack the deck for the candidate….you know the stories…..you know NO GOPer would ever do anything so despicable as that, right?

Well I would almost bet that this is a story that will be found Nowhere on the sites I have mentioned……

It sounds like early predictions of chaos for Tuesday’s Republican caucus in Nevada were right on the money. “Trying to catch all the fraud that’s going on here would be like trying to plug all the holes in the Titanic,” a Marco Rubio strategist tells CNN. “You fix one and another one bursts.” The AP’s Sally Ho tweets that at least one caucus location was running out of ballots and turning people away. At another location, volunteers were reportedly handing out ballots “willy-nilly” without checking IDs, allowing one person to vote for Donald Trump twice, Mashable’s Emily Cahn tweets. GOP officials claim those reports are overblown, saying they’re looking into double voting and that additional ballots were given out quickly, according to the Hill.

Some of the more eye-catching photos of the night show caucus volunteers decked out in Trump gear. The National Review’s Elaina Plott, quoting a source within Rubio’s campaign, tweets that one ballot counter in a Trump shirt is “bullying” people and hiding ballots. That source called the whole thing a “shit show.” Volunteers at caucuses are not allowed to show a preference for a particular candidate.

Granted it is happening in the silly operation of a caucus….but sorry dudes…Fraud Is Fraud!

I would challenge the morons at the sites I mentioned….but why?  They had rather make up news than report the actual thing……their readers prefer lies to news anyway.

Lawlessness

This post will no doubt cause me a lot of grief……..I can hear the anger coming from massive amounts of keyboards……..but….what the Hell…….go for it!

I have been watching the situation in Nevada….the rancher that is having his stand-off with the Feds……and the whole situation got me thinking about the law and how we see them.  I have waited before commenting to see how the media is betraying this tense situation……and as usual it is overplayed.

After reading as much as I possible could before it became mind numbing…..this is the way I see it…..the rancher has been grazing his cattle on Fed land, which is not free………after court proceedings he was told that he owed money and if not paid cattle would be confiscated to pay the bill….the rancher in question has chosen to disobey a court ruling……now after looking over the facts I believe that the BLM over-reacted and thus the stand-off occurred.   At this point many so-called ‘patriots’ joined in his stand-off.

The law is being broken and people are choosing to support this person.  I now ask if this were a bunch of minorities that were threatening to use force if the government touched their stuff….would these same supporters do the same thing?  My guess is NO!

There are many that call themselves ‘law and order’ conservatives……which is fine but when breaking a law that you do not agree with is not ‘law and order’.  When did this become an American past time?

Like it or not….we are a country of laws and it comes down to either obey them or face the consequences.

And then there was a report coming out of Nevada……..

Fortunately, a face-off between a rancher’s supporters—some armed—and federal officials concluded peacefully in Nevada on Saturday. Had it not, a former Arizona sheriff had a plan: “We were actually strategizing to put all the women up at the front” near the feds, Richard Mack told Fox News, via the Blaze. “If they are going to start shooting, it’s going to be women that are going to be televised all across the world getting shot by these rogue federal officers.” Meanwhile, those involved in the showdown—which, the Blaze notes, became a question of states’ rights—are reflecting on the event.

Rancher Cliven Bundy’s son tells Reuters that his supporters needed their weapons “in order to intimidate” federal officials. “We were dedicated to opening those gates and peacefully walking through to retrieve those cattle” seized by the government (and ultimately returned). Despite the confrontation’s end, however, the conflict isn’t finished, says Harry Reid. “We can’t have an American people that violate the law and just walk away from it,” he said on Nevada’s KRNV, via the Washington Times. “So it’s not over.” Many protesters were still at Bundy’s ranch as of yesterday, the Times notes.

This report is disturbing on so many levels………..I have a problem with putting the women out front…..sounds like something a terrorist would do to protect his ass…….and then it is the use of intimation……..would anyone accept the term or use by some minority that felt slighted by the government?  All this sounds more like cowards than patriots.

We can expect this kind of lawlessness in Anbar province in Iraq but it is not done here………we may not appreciate the laws we have chosen to live by but without them we have anarchy and that is what the so-called Left is accused of fomenting.

May I use a term that was thrown at me back in my younger more rebellious days………if one does not like the laws or the government…..there is a simple answer………..”THIS IS AMERICA:  LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT”…………

The Teabaggers are getting more and more air time during the present cycle of elections and primaries……and all their lunacy keeps coming out and out and the Low info voter keeps licking it up by the jug full…….

Take Nevada when the darling of the Tea Party won her nomination as the Repub candidate…..she wants to abolish Social Security, bow out of the UN, just to mention a few of her quirky little stands….but does it stop there?

Hell NO!

Since she won the nomination more and more of her extreme right and extreme crazy ideas keep coming forth…..

The peculiar ideology of Sharron Angle, the Republican nominee challenging Sen. Harry Reid in Nevada, is perhaps no better illustrated than by her embrace of the patriot group Oath Keepers, whose membership of uniformed soldiers and police take an oath to refuse orders they see as unconstitutional — including enforcement of gun laws, violations of states’ sovereignty, and “any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.

According to the SPLC, Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes, a former staffer for Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) warns his followers against “a coming dictatorship” that will happen if “our brothers in arms go along and comply with unconstitutional, unlawful orders.” An extensive report on the group by Mother Jones in March suggests supporters of the movement believe they’re living through the first steps of the shift away from constitutional freedom. Members of the group — many of them in the armed forces — share the “belief that the government is already turning on its citizens, they are recruiting military buddies, stashing weapons, running drills, and outlining a plan of action [to stop it],” the magazine reported.

Early in her career, if we can call it that she had the John Birch ideas about Communist plots……

Nevada GOP Senate candidate Sharron Angle earlier in her career spoke out strongly against fluoride, the substance known alternately for improving dental health and as a Communist plot to undermine Western democracy.

Poor thing, she just cannot catch a break….the mainstream media is after her butt or she could be just plain….CRAZY!

This next part has little or maybe nothing to do with  Angle….but is just as crazy and just as much the Tea Party as the woman above…..

Then get a load of this video from Alabama House candidate Rick Barber, in which he has a kind of war council with various founding fathers. Barber calls for President Obama’s impeachment, then launches a mostly nonsensical rant about the IRS, which is making us “spy on ourselves” by asking us to report our income. “I can’t stand by while these evils are perpetrated!” Barber cries. “You gentlemen revolted over a tea tax. A tea tax! Are you with me?” To which fantasy Washington replies gravely, “Gather your armies.” Which is kind of funny because, as David Weigel of the Washington Post points out, Washington instituted the nation’s first federal tax in 1791—on whiskey—and organized a militia to forcibly collect it from anyone who resisted.

All this would be all the more humorous, if it was not so damn scary…….scary in the sense that there those out there that believe all this equine fecal matter…..and anyone with half a brain would be scared at the popularity that all these NUTS are receiving……
