We Have Nothing To Fear Except Fear-Mongering Politicians

For over a year I have been telling people about ISIS….mostly I have been hitting the foreign policy of the US the hardest…..I have gotten some interests comments on my posts…..some not so interesting and a bit insulting…..but that is what you expect when you try to teach a horse to sing……..

I have found that David Stockman has an excellent mind and his writings are right on target…..I do not agree with him on some of his thoughts but for the most part he is dead on with this subject.

In all my writings I have tried to point out the fear mongering politicians are self-serving and are not looking after the best interests of the country…..Mr. Stockman covers this subject well…..

Rubio the Inflexible Hawk | The American Conservative

Okay, everyone sit down!  I admit it…I read the American Conservative….you see I have no problem with conservatism but I do with what neo-liberals pretend to be conservative….they are NOT!

I get the feeling that I could be some sort of anomaly among bloggers……I read all sources of information not just the stuff that will enhance my blog-speak…..

I have heard that Rubio could be the next big thing for the GOP….more so than Cruz, who just about everybody hates and Jeb, who cannot find his ass with both hands and a flashlight……then there are the frontrunners of today, Trump and Carson, they just want attention…..but Rubio is not a conserv and his foreign policy is nothing to be proud of…..that is if you consider yourself a conservative.

Since I firmly believe that 2016 will be an election where foreign policy will be the most pressing issue for the next president……Rubio is NOT your man for the presidency.

I am a foreign policy wonk….I truly love the international situations and the solutions that I see being implemented to control them….most times there are more failures than successes but that does not keep the pundits from talking tirelessly from a position of ignorance…..

I have said that the 2016 election will be mostly a foreign policy election because the world is ablaze and the US will be called upon to put out the fires (I wish them luck)…..

If you are a political geek then you are aware that the neocons want to use force to settle ALL incidents….we will go blindly into a situation that inevitably comes back to bite us in the ass….but that matters not…..the neocons care not….they prefer the use of force in EVERY situation.

The neocons have issued their manifesto before the election…..and it is a typical piece of work for them….

Personally, I believe the use of force as a last resort……it is easy to drop a bomb….any moron can do that…..not all situations can benefit from military intervention….

I believe that foreign policy deciders need international relations experience…..it should not be a political appointment…..take a look at the last 50 years of history of interventions…..how many have had a truly successful conclusion?

The US has gone from one misadventure to another and no where has anyone actually question their decisions.  Why?  Simple.  The government is using the MSM as their propaganda arm……disguising the awful reality as news…..and only the news that reinforces the neocon line of thought.

Yep, I consider Obama and his band of jolly mistrals as neocons also.  Why?  He has done nothing to break the line of misadventures….using the US military as a tool for assisting the M-IC in their ever searching program for profit and influence.

The 2016 election is approaching like the coming storm and yet absolutely no one is talking foreign policy……with the exception of a slogan here and there…..there is nothing on the table to break our  continuous adventures…..

This election……no matter who wins the popularity contest will do little to stop the neocons and their pursuit of empire.   Now the War on Terror has been replaced by a new Cold War……is this the 1950’s?

Let The Debate Begin!

This week the Congress returns from its month off to raise more funds for their present and future campaigns……high on the agenda is the Iranian nuke deal and the debate should prove interesting…..if not damn right pathetic.

You see two high ranking Dems have come out in opposition to the deal……New Jersey’s Menendez and New York’s Schumer…,.and of course every Repub in Congress is behind the opposition….I mean what would you expect from the pack of neo cons?

In the beginning of the debate I expected Schumer to do his thing in opposition…I mean he owes a lot to the cash of Israel and besides he is a “liberal” neo con who pretends to be otherwise.  But his ideas on the Middle East have always been a bit whacky……(Read more)…..

All that said there is another toad that will do what it takes to try and defeat the deal…..that toad is the freshman Senator from Arkansas, Tom Cotton……the neo cons poster child for endless war……

Since the deal was announced he has been the loudest opponent which in turn has gotten him all sorts of notoriety that he would otherwise not have….and once the media gave him a free reign he has not shut up in his opposition…..(read more about his holy crusade against the deal)……

All in all Israel and its paid agents in Congress will pull out no stops in opposition to the deal and will try every trick they have to assure its defeat……

But wait!  All their antics and tactics and rhetoric may be for naught…..

President Obama was “on the brink” of wrapping up the Iran nuclear deal after Democratic Sens. Bob Casey and Chris Coons threw their support his way, the Wall Street Journal reports. Now Maryland’s Barbara Mikulski has given her thumbs-up, giving the president the magic number of 34 senators he needs to block a Senate override of his expected veto if the GOP tries to push through a resolution disapproving of the deal next week. “No deal is perfect, especially one negotiated with the Iranian regime,” Mikulski said in a statement, per Roll Call. “[But] I have concluded that this Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action is the best option available to block Iran from having a nuclear bomb. … However, Congress must also reaffirm our commitment to the safety and security of Israel.”

Two Democrats in the Senate have sided with their GOP counterparts against the deal, while 10 haven’t said where they stand yet, Bloomberg notes. To filibuster the Republican resolution and keep a veto completely out of the picture, a total of 41 senators is needed, and now supporters of Obama’s Iran deal are optimistic they can reach that number, too, the New York Times reports. Coons said yesterday it would be “a very close call” to acquire those 41 votes, adding that conversations he’s had with all of the undecideds gave him no clear picture on whether they’d vote yea or nay, per Bloomberg.

This saga may sound like a happy ending for Obama but do not count the influence of Israel out for a minute……and do not think for a minute that the neo cons will roll over and accept defeat.

While I was writing this post word about the deal came out……..

The Iran nuclear deal appears good to go following announcements of support from three Democratic senators today in what the Hill is calling an “impressive lobbying win” for President Obama and the White House. Those three senators bring the total votes for the deal to 41 in the Senate, meaning Republicans don’t have the numbers to pass a resolution against it. All 54 Senate Republicans were joined by four Democrats—including a West Virginia senator who officially sided with them today—in supporting a resolution to stop the deal, CNN reports. It would have likely been a moot point, anyway, as Obama already had the votes to veto any resolution passed against his deal. Floor debate on the deal begins today.

While today’s announcements were supportive, they weren’t necessarily ringing endorsements of Obama’s plan. “Despite my serious concerns with this agreement, I have unfortunately become convinced that we are faced with no viable alternative,” one of the three senators, Gary Peters of Michigan, tells the Hill. “While this is not the agreement I would have accepted at the negotiating table, it is better than no deal at all,” another of the senators, Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, tells CNN. The three senators made their announcements on the same day Dick Cheney called the Iran nuclear deal “madness.” Ted Cruz and Donald Trump are expected to headline a rally against it tomorrow.

Let’s say the neocons lose their fight (which it appears they will)…..is there a plan B?  Of course there is!

The Media Purge Is Near Complete

First, I must admit my disappointment that Ferrari lost the Italian Gran Prix at Monza…..that German company won…..is there some way Hamilton can be penalized for not being as Italian?  Made my Labor Day just awful…I remain grumpy!

Now to work!

I have been writing for years that the media was nothing but a propaganda arm of the government as well as Wall Street….it is used to shape our views and opinions plus programming the population to accept whatever line is pushed……so far they have done a marvelous job….I point to FOX News as proof.

When I heard the news that MSNBC was firing anchors like Ed Schultz, Alex Wagner, Joy Reid, etc….I said then that the network was purging all progressive thought…..I warned that Sharpton was not safe nor was Diaz Balart…the only true left leaning voice that will remain will be Rachel Maddow only because she is adorable and her ratings are good for revenue……but keep in mind so was Obermann’s…….and we know what happened to him……

Since I wrote the piece awhile back more news has come to light…..Sharpton goes from a daily show to a Sunday show which should make his ratings tank then it can be justified in firing him….watch for Chris Hayes to get  makeover to toe the neocon line….then there is Harris-Perry….this one is a question mark in my mind.

I use to watch Morning Joe because it was a third way show….lots of independent talk….now it will expand to 4 hours and the mundane crap of Mika, a one dimensional character and the Neocon babble of Scarborough will get even more time to make us nauseous…..

If one wants real news I suggest you look for it on-line….because the best you will do for independent talk on cable will be CNN….and that alone is pathetic.

I am sure that someone will appreciate the switch for MSNBC (ComCast) but those would be people that let the tube do their thinking for them….me?  I would rather watch something called “Nazis vs Aliens”…it would be more newsworthy than anything MSNBC can offer.

It seems like the US has been at war since 1959 with few breaks for diplomacy……now with this Iranian deal there seems to be a familiar theme to all the arguments against it……”Trust In War”…..

We have been told this by neocons for decades…..first with the Soviets, then the Red Chinese, then the Central American events….all wanted to start a war over one situation or another…..and now with the deal in the wind they seem to be telling Americans that we should “Trust in War” to make things alright and a more secure world…..

Is this what we Americans want…..endless war….endless death and destruction?

Surely there is another way to deal with situations in the world than the violence of war…….

Giving War a Chance — FAIR

Remember the tune by John Lennon and the Plastic Ono Band……..”Give Peace A Chance”?

Well it seems that some on the Right in their opposition to the latest Iran deal are saying the opposite.  With Washington and its ilk in office will NEVER give peace a chance.  That is because none of them ever has to do the fighting.

These people which include such war notables as Dick Cheney and John Bolton are all too willing to take America into yet another disastrous war…..all for no other reason than to make the military-industrial complex happy and profitable, as well as to pay their debt to Israel for all their support (cash)…….

And that my friends is just disgusting!

The problem I have is that these types, opponents that is,  start wars and put American troops into the fray and then turn their backs on them when they return…..it is as if these soldiers are nothing but a tool and when it is broken they discard them and go get a new one…..then they set off to plan the next use of military force….a vicious cycle that they will never allow to end.

“It’s Munich!”

As the world knows that the P5+1 and Iran have reached a deal on the Iranian nukes………and as was predictable the Radical Right has gone batcrap crazy……with the help of Israel and its American ally, AIPAC…….

Now with the opposition to the deal the Right has gone into a full court press to try and crap on the thing……..their best talking point is comparing the passing of the deal to Munich of 1938.

First, as usual, a little historical perspective.

For those confused about the Munich thing…..this was a deal reached between UK’s Chamberlain and Hitler on the parts of Czechoslovakia to try and prevent Hitler from invading the country…….that was in 1938 in the German city of Munich.

The Neocons biggest blow hard is journalist Bill Kristol……..and his enabler, National review……….

But you can see how this works: A Netanyahu think tank makes an outlandish claim, it is picked up by the National Review and thus laundered from its biased foreign origins, and then recycled and further laundered by Kristol in his publication. Cute trick.

And Kristol’s objection to foreigners with American blood on their hands is highly selective. The Marxist-jihadist death cult Mojahedin-e-Khalq (MeK) has plenty of American blood on its hands, but Kristol’s own magazine joined other neocon voices in urging the US to remove the terrorists from the US list of terror organizations. Why? Because they are Kristol’s kind of terrorists: they infiltrate Iran to assassinate civilians and foment unrest, while passing off laptops with Mossad-fabricated data made to look like Iranian nuclear weapons activity.

(With American blood on their hands……what about the American sailors that Israel killed on board the USS Liberty?  We deal with them as friends)

Personally, I grow weary of the lies that Israel and its slaves try to pass off as truth…….no seems to want to talk about Muslim blood on one’s hands….why is that?

We will be hearing…”It’s Munich” a lot from the Neocons and their puppets…..this is all a deadly game Israel is playing with American lives….of course those are not as important to them as they are to us…….
